right on great video, i got what i needed, followed your install instructions, but one thing that may lead others into disarray, is sometimes your sdcard folder structure name is more like "/mnt/sdcard/root" instead of yours "/mnt/sd/root"

the slightest difference in where the actual root folder contents also matters as well. nevertheless i was manageable and found out what the problem was, corrected myself and root paradise was within sight.

@XxR33FAxX Are you on 2.2.1 or 2.3.4? If you're on 2.2.1 go try my gfree method out. That should work. If you're on 2.3.4 there's no way to root from that yet. You would have to downgrade back to 2.2.1. If you need to downgrade message me and I'll link you.

Hi!! Sorry to bother you! I followed instructions very carefully, when I run the script on the terminal "SH root.sh" I get the following error:

"INSMOD: INIT_MODULE 'SDCARD/ROOT/WPX.KO' FAILED (FUNCTION NOT IMPLEMEMNTED)

I checked and the file "wpx.ko" is inside the root directory.

Any idea of what can be going wrong?

@Mackster248 Hummm, wish it was like that! I do turn off the phone, then back on, go to terminal emulator, type "Su" .............acces denied, not rooted. If I turn it on pressing Vol simultaneusly, it reads S = On, that means is not rooted no?

@pharrell1111 Ummmm, like folders on the home screen? Yeah you would need root as you would have to replace the .img files for the folders to whatever .img you'd want. But that would require some higher lever knowledge on Android.

@rsavala89 If it says you can't open root then there's something that you're doing wrong. Maybe you didn't unzip the file or something. You can keep doing this or try my gfree rooting method. Just look at my other videos to find that method.
