This Video makes me wanna hug the designer.

I (18yrs) felt connected to Volvo and it's safety somehow, and thought my first car could be an old, shitty volvo. Next march i will most likely need my own car .. And i'm ADDICTED to the C30. At first my father wanted me to like the fiesta, a car without any character (Seat+Hyundai lookalike), now he also likes the c30. Every day i hope i'll be able to call myself a proud c30 owner next year .. I love the car so much.

I used to drive a BMW 330c and I just bought the c30 and I'm in love. This car drives as good and may handle better. What is best about this car is its zippy acceleration. VOOOOOM!

You forgot to mention "bad gas mileage" -small cars today should be at least 40mpg.

Mine 1.6d does 63 mpg on longer driver. Sitting in the middle of rushour will never give you fuel economy no mather what ;)

hey guys, you can customize it the way you like it! check out their webbsite, and style it the way you want :) i did and i am´so glad for my new c30! you gotta drive one too understand how brilliant it is.. dont forgett to buy the extra audio sound for the car.. GREAT CAR!

I saw one of these cars and test drove it about two weeks ago. It pretty much has the same engine mine does, but it reminds me too much of the Ford Taurus...Mr.Horbury did well with the design of this car, but with too much of Ford's influence turns me off.

Just saw one for the first time a few days ago at the Columbus Ohio Auto Show. It has the Swedish flag on top of it which I thought was cool. Very nice looking car. I definitely want to test drive one of these.

This IS my next car. I have grown up with Volvos and man I´m looking forward to this.. 20 October I will be a C30 owner. I also considered the new Honda, but it look like a spacecraft.. And the mini looks like a russian fighter from the 19060s inside..

I'm seriously consider buying this car. But I hear it's eat 89 octane, and it doesnt have a sedan's like trunk since it's a hatch back. Still pondering. So how does the maintenance's costs of a Volvo compare to a Honda or Toyota?

I just bought this car too. V2. Of course Hondas and Toyotas will be cheaper to fix and to maintain. But that is not my concern when buying a car. This is a great little car. Its 6-SP manual trans is a thing of beauty.

Hondas are a bitch to work on! I have had 4 of them. I like this one. I will have to go check it out. If I look under it and decide it to be nightmarish then I won't buy. Most folks don't consider ease of repair when buying a car. the automakers don't care about us in that regard.

True, but if you think about it they do that on purpose for two reasons. One, your average consumer knows very little about auto mechanics save for the few things they have to know for routine maintenance, so the auto makers can create cars that require you to service it professionally. Also, the newer technology everyone wants and the comfort they want has lead to electronic cars that are more difficult to fix and maintain. Add the dealers want more money to repair a car, so they push for that.

Oooh, I like that. They've really made good use of the s40 design. If I could find one in slate grey with a sat-nav I'd replace my s80 with it, maybe.

Who needs the S3 now, Volvo has truely designed a winner. Considering the C1 platform is shared with Ford/Mazda3 the Ford inline5 is borrowed from Volvo in the new ST but this clearly is better looking build quality than the Ford.
