Wow, amazing performance. Makes me have a whole new respect for the song. The album version just seems so much more restrained and dry compared to this live performance. Radiohead live is usually better than Radiohead recorded though, so I guess I shouldn't be surprised.

I watched it one night at a friends place with surround sound, and it was the most intensly beautiful thing's I've ever watched.

Ed is using a sharp tremolo effect for the stutter, a little bit of delay (any pedal will do), and standing with his guitar directly in front of the speakers to generate sustain.
