  • I think this videio was great. Pumpkin looks beautiful! I just took my st. bernard to the groomers. When I got him back he was completley shaved. I was furious. He had no matted hair what so ever. Obviously the groomers didn't know what they were doing.

  • Great video, thank you for sharing. I'm starting on grooming world and I loved this make over :D

  • Not trying to be snarky, but dry brushing is not so great for the coat, you need to mist the dog with something, a conditioning spray or even just water. You rip out a lot more healthy hair when brushing dry, because you are fighting static. Brushing all that dirty hair takes a lounging time, it's very hard on your body. It's really not good to breathe that stuff in, it also wears your brushes out sooner. I find it's a lot easier to put the dog straight in the tub, get the dog clean, then b

  • Linda, You have taught me a lot. Thank you

  • This was the best video I've found, because it had all the steps (well the steps in order). I'm really glad you included line brushing because I haven't been able to find a video about it yet! Thanks for the video, Pumpkin looked great! :) Good job too

  • I have been grooming for 2 years now and i know thats not that long but that dog looks great and just this little 9 minute vid just gave me a refresher.THANKS SOOO much.

  • i dont think my st bernard pup would just stand there like that lol great video thanks ! :)

  • omg she like butchered her feet yikes. And the grinder she used it wrong too. I groom show dogs for a living.

  • i think she did an amazing job, everyone has their own techniques..

  • she specifically said, this is not 'show' standard, but is what most non-showing owners prefer...

  • Wow she looks really good!

  • If shes been shaved before it's been for a reason. Her owners obviously dont brush her so why put her through a traumatic dematting process just for the sake of looking good? Better to shave her down and start again for her own comfort. Skin problems only occur (reportedly) with excessively short clipping ie #10 blade.

  • awesome video :D

  • Beautiful job on this gorgeous dog. What a shame her owners let her get that bad. I have 2 dogs, 3 cats and 3 kids. My animals mean just as much to me as my human kids.

  • if u use those nail clippers to cut the nails

i heard it damages the meat under the nail

    reply..

  • The problem with nail clippers is if you cut to much of the nail, you will cut what is called the quick. The quick is basically the blood vessel that keeps the toenail growing. You can also damage the nail with a grinder but it takes a lot longer so you rarely have the same problem.

  • Beautiful job! It's nice to see people who are at their job for more than a paycheck!

  • yeah!

I just saw some real scary groomers, this is so nice :)

I clean my dogs earloabs the same, but did not know you can use more than one tip at once. will try it with my girl

    thanks

  • Amazing job, Linda! I'm a groomer, and I love to see owners' reactions when they see their freshly groomed pups! I wish you had a video with their reactions. :-)
