  • My God I didn't know this existed esp so recent, I understood Art hadn't sang in years and nothing would come together. I saw Paul on the Gracelands tour and it was the most memorable event ever. Come to the UK guys your sure to pack it out. Still have it and Arts voice will be like that forever

  • PIĘKNE!

  • True talent does not die, does not diminish. Powerful, sweet and moving

  • They even hit me harder than 30 years ago in Central Park. As if that song grew on them with the years... and it did!

  • Still have perfect harmony after all these years.

  • This is the only song that challenges my upbringing that I am to old to cry. Absolutely beautiful and I hope I never have to hear a remake of it.

  • I love how their performance quality hasn't diminished at all even though they're up in age.

  • So.......When i was 6 my daddy took the LP of Central Park and make me listen to this...it was in the early 90's...but know...i'm gonna cry again.A true tear from an italian boy.Thank you guys

  • Paul,my music mentor, emotional moment for me, true class never dies, truly spectacular.

  • Love this. No flashy light shows or artificial pyrotechnics. No half dressed or overly pierced/tattooed "musicians". Just two old dudes with enough soul to liven up the entire world.

  • @giladhalevy very correct

  • @0:47 the looks they give each other. Pure, raw joy for their love of music and being able to play together again in front of tons of people.

  • I loves this song,i loves this boys,for ever!

  • I don't know why but these two have been sending chills down my spine since late 60's early 70's. Everytime I hear them together it only gets better. This rendition is fantastic! Thank you so much for posting it. I've always yearned for these two to stay together.

  • wonderfull!!

  • Im crying right now :'(

  • I know that there are idiots all over the planet, but how can, among these 342608 people, who watched this clip, to have even one, not talking about five, who could press on the "dislike" button? Hello, people, how do you live without a heart????

  • Heard this in 1964 thought it was great then I have heard often and again today still great. Thanks for sharing.

  • This just moves me...I'm in tears right now.

Does anybody else even realize that their lives will end at any moment within the next twenty years but that they lived and didn't skip a moment of their lives for their one true love--music?

  • @marina1991x u r so right,i have been enjoying their music since the 60's.... and i heven't reached 70 yet(hope i do)

  • @marina1991xLife can end within the next 20 yrs, or the next 20 scnds. What the hell does that mean?? This road is the same as it's always been. Just different people walking it. Lighten up and enjoy what was,...what is...and what will be. Best advice I have for Marina!!PEACE!!

  • And they could still fill Central Park tomorrow. Maybe being 70 isn't so terribly strange after all.

  • There should be a fucking love it button

  • They sound better now than they did in the 80's because I think they like each other again.

  • Wait...2011?! When was this and why didn't I know about it?!

  • They are just great!! Much better than 1966... I get goose pimples just like 25 years ago...

  • i'm so impressed by this, they've still got it!

  • Yeah, I guess this is related to "Breast Flexing".

  • Ladies and Gentlemen; Simon and Garfunkle!

  • THAT's what it's all about!!! A 4-chord folk tune sung by two 70-year old grandpa's, and to me it erupts with greatness. And I'm the one listening to metal up the tonnage of Slipknot and Pantera.

  • god bless you guys

  • AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • my god their voices havent changed at all through the years

  • Some guys just improve with age and Simon and Garfunkel prove it here! Probably their greatest performance of this beautiful song.

  • They are ever been and now and then in my heart for ever.

  • best intro and ending to this song ever ....it gets better and better!!!!!

  • GOD Bless them both, they are as great as ever!!!

  • MARAVILHOSO, WONDERFUL,

  • "Simon & Garfunkel ist ein US-amerikanisches Folk-Rock-Duo, das im Jahr 1957 von den beiden Schülern Paul Simon und Art Garfunkel gegründet wurde."

  • Epic !

  • No matter how much time passes, these two have an incredible mix in their voices that can move you, or as it just did to me, give you chills.

  • o tempo passa, mas as musicas que Deus faz ficam.

  • As good wine, the older better. Congratulations, bring c]back good memories.

  • Still gives me chills to hear them singing together. What a team, and what an impact they have had.

  • For some reason I always feel like Simon and Garfunkel have a hard time with this song live. Despite being in their much older age, this is by far the best live performance of this song I've heard. Garfunkel's voice is raspier yet still angelic.

  • "When all is said and done" - (ABBA; Frida) - ( if we like it or not; that is a fact; I say no more!!) - nobody can conquer TIME....fortunately or unfortunately; I don't know!! Ed w w w eddy nu

  • 3 people are hipsters

  • @begbieboy...I'm not sure if you can PRE-auto-tune a mic or not, but I can hear it. If you really listen, you can hear that he kind of sounds like t-pain or a robot. Not degrading his voice, he was a boss back in the day.....@spacecowboy7580 no criticism my friend, just stating facts. Not doubting how good he is. I watched this vid for a reason...solely because I love them and this song.

  • They are the best!

  • They are both very good, but you can obviously hear AG's Auto-tuned mic....

  • @MrBadtothebone07 Really? Can you pre-autotune a mic? I didn't know.... what a bummer. Still, sounds great for a duos whose members are reaching their seventies.

  • 46-51 seconds are P R I C E L E S S

  • :))))

  • My mother who are born in the year 1948 in Holland, loved this music so much into she where lived into the year 1964 (when the group "The Rolling Stones" became a great band into the world). I was borned into the year 1980, and a I like this kind of music very much. So I share this kind of music also this time (2012). I love that music very much!!! Thanks for placing this music!!!

  • Comment removed

  • apparently they have reconciled Beautiful song and time!

  • sorry but it's ART GARFUNKEL, NOT kle...

  • No way this is auto tuned..did you see the smile of sheer wowness from AG when PS finished his opening. That was a genuine ' YOU STILL GOT IT MAN' look...GENIUS!!!

  • WHY? OH LORD WHY? .........WHY HAS THE WORLD AS WE KNOW IT ALLOWED TRUE TALENT TO DIE OUT IN MODERN 'MUSIC' ?

  • @paulinesmith44

It will never die while we can watch videos like this.

  • I've been conducting my own investigation into these autotune allegations, and I have come to the conclusion that Simon and Garfunkel don't need no fucking autotune! This is legit.

  • This is MUSIC! And it will always be!!

  • it is autotuned . . . . . . however, they are 100 years old and still amazing

  • Amazing. Two guys in their 70s who sound the same as when they first started over 40 years ago.

  • this is blessed music

  • weenc1 so dylan is not talented, his words and music are epic, like paul simon, bruce springsteen, tom waits, leonard cohen these are true wordsmiths, i just thank god the likes of these would never get on xfactor, and have there tallent flushed down the can by that prat simon cowell and people like you who would not no real tallent if it came up and bit you on the ars

  • I bet no one knows that Art Garfunkel is a teacher? After they stopped touring, he taught school at a Forman school in my hometown of Litchfield, CT!! Im not sure if he still teaches there or not as i havent been back there for years.

  • Their not pretty, but their TALENTED.

  • @akser360 They're*... but yes :)

  • @akser360 Everyone is pretty in there own way!!

  • "I think the easiest way to lose a ton of weight is to get a traumatic disease. Like Syphilis." -Art Garfunkle when I chauffeured him to a show.

  • whoever dislike this, i'm going to hunt you and kick your ass in the rhythm of this awesome song.

  • Seriously moved me to tears.

How wonderful to see them together, doing what they do so very, very beautifully.

I love the shared looks, the twinkle in their eyes... amazing!

  • THESE GUYS JUST DONT STOP BEING AWESOME, DO THEY? WTF

  • I listen to this song whenever I have anxiety problems due to being sick. Helps me calm down and fall asleep.

  • 3 people are deaf

  • @zdngrfld I agree completely

  • @zdngrfld now it's 4 people are deaf... sadly...

  • @zdngrfld 4 now , people hearing without listening

  • As good as it gets...they are individually great but become one entity together...a perfect blend of two voices...this is how harmony is done...every note counts....Paul is a brilliant songwriter...the guitar was slightly out of tune...i love the grins they exchanged just before the song began..like it wasn't a big deal...Art knew... then they delivered a perfect performance...i was thrilled a few years ago to find out they would be performing again...thanks for sharing this gem with us.

  • I hardly ever talk in any of my classes. And when I told people this was my favorite song they were all like " Figures".

    XD

  • Hello, we are Simon & Garfunkel. We are 70 years old, and we are just as fucking phenomenal as when we were young, if not better.

  • @matthewherrickmusic Damn.. I can only thumbs-up once.

  • The guitar was out of tune. Fire the roadie in charge.

  • Im so glad my parents brought me up on this.

  • Truly Majestic, poignant rendition of one of the best songs written in the 20th Century.

  • Man, I've got goose bumps!! legends!!!

  • Artie still has the voice of an angel, so what he's 70 - I'm 60 - who cares, I still love him after all these years, even oldies can LOVE.

  • This is really bringing me to tears...and I'm new to Simon and Garfunkel.

  • 4

42years later and still sensational I feel the gap between the early music and now has been bridged.Massive and brilliant performance.Often bands from this era have died, disbanded or changed into has beens. But this duo retain the same sound.True true true quality

  • Why is Jerry Sundusky playing the guitar?

  • This is perfection! No hype, just pure sound and true talent! Simon and Garfunkel achieve with their voices and a guitar what most performers spend millions to achieve. Their sound and their legend, hopefully, will last forever. They should have as much joy and happiness as they have given the world.

  • Fantastic version from two legends. It would have been nice to spell them correctly though, don't you think ?

  • This MUST be used in an Anonymous video. Message classic and still current - now more than ever.

  • how gorgeous the little trill in the word "cold" in the beginning, by art, as in their original acoustic version. and perfect pitch, so rare now with everyone trying to climb up, down and sideways every note.

this is chilling in its beauty and enduring message.

  • karashim12345 please learn some respect and how to correct someone else's error without resorting to childish insults.

I think you are correct that this clip is labelled inaccurately.

  • Simplesmente "DIVINO"!! Parabéns e vida longa a essa linda dupla!!

  • 3 guys don't want to hear the sound of silence.

  • This is perfection. Perfect harmonizing, perfect sound organisation, it gives me goosebumps and such power in my stomach. My God, they're good.

  • This is from 2009 idiot

  • Not old, but aged. Aged vintage wine, they are. Many appreciates from Japan.

  • Wow.......

  • hi, from portugal

thanks so mutch for the video, it´s so great listen again

simon and art are two magics... see you :-))

  • To see Simon and Garfunkle on stage together again made me so emotional I had to hold my head...

  • its spelled garfunkel

  • My nipples are standing.

  • @kfsie1 LOL

  • sorry, but i have to say this: i'm a musician and i am a 100% sure that pitch correction - also known as "autotune" (how you call it) - HAS been used. i love both paul and art, they are great musicians and art garfunkel is an awesome singer (or was?), but this just doenst sound any natural. bad job by their sound engineers, "autotune" is used so much more often than you guys think. best example is adeles new live album. destroyed by autotune.

  • @maxpower0711 I agree with you, the autotune is very noticeable if you know what to listen for.

  • I want to know where they got a hold of the time machine!

  • That's true. new music sucks

  • A poet and a one man band.....

  • Wow! Incredible

  • 2 voices + 1 guitar in perfect pitch,= 4 minutes 25 seconds of pure bliss

  • @theruse Hate to say, but that guitar is not in tune. They still sound good, but it really irks me when an instrument is even the slightest bit out of tune. Just sounds off to me.

  • @testbenchdude

Some are saying it's auto tuned some are saying the guitar is out of tune...why can't you people shut up and just enjoy it?

We will never hear music as good as this again so enjoy it while you can and stop criticising.

  • i feel so good.

  • This guys are amazing, they make real music!!!

I hope they will make once more tour in europe, 'caus I am sixteen and I wan't to see them live!

I hope their songs and their music will never die!

  • this is real music!

They should make one tour through europe! It's amazing how beautiful they can sing with their amazing over 70 years!

I hope their music will never die, they will always be in my heart!! <3

  • Right there... u see it.. The unkindness of time

  • These guys don't need auto tune. They auto tune each other. Worst invention ever. I just wish we could go back to the days where singers needed to be good and looks and image came second. Most of our greatest performers wouldn't pass the image test today and we would have lost that talent forever. When you watch american idol, x factor they always talk about image. Who cares can the person actually sing. Auto tune sucks it has ruined music.

  • @weeunc1 but today´s musicians know how to tune a guitar :-)

  • @weeunc1 friend I'm sad to say todays muscians and singers, I talk mainly of the pop world are awful though the 80's were pretty poor to!!!!!!!!! lol agreed though friend. I was worried I was just old (I am) yet I also recognise talent and there is none about to day. Though some might say sexy. who cares.

  • @weeunc1 I agree 99% More than just singing, I want them to be able to play minimum at least 1 instrument :D Those were the days! Voice good or unique, instruments, and lyrics and melody is where its at...not BS image...that doesnt even come 2nd...it doesnt come at all....:D

  • @weeunc1 you sound like someone that lives in the past. guess what the past is gone, music is music. no one cares who sings as long as it makes you wanna singalong, dance, listen or maybe cry or inspire you . A total fake could be singing but if it feels good to listen then, people dont give a shit if its autotuned or not

  • @weeunc1 Why is it a bad thing that auto-tune allows more people to make music?

  • @Proman2 thats the problem, most of it is total crap

  • @Proman2 Because it allows more people to make unnecessarily large amounts of money with little to no talent whatsoever. I understand that's not always the case, but the majority of people now who use auto-tune cannot perform very well when it comes to live shows. Why pay a bad singer millions when there's another good singer out there who doesn't special equipment?

  • @Proman2 You're kidding right?

  • @weeunc1 I believe that auto-tune has its place, but it shouldn't take the place of a good singer.

  • @weeunc1 You make a beautiful point. All I can think as a reply is that people need to help others to stop buying into the auto tune. Share and share again, as much as you can. :)

  • @weeunc1 Wait..Singers needed to be talented? Did Bob Dylan get this memo?
