The audience looked like stunned mullets or like they've been cryogenically frozen. Was the tube an English show? I heard the English were a tough audience for Aussie bands, or maybe it was just the English press that didn't like 'em in those days. Sorry if I've offended any English fans. I reckon a lot of INXS' best music was the earlier stuff that most outside Australia probably never really heard. They were awesome right throughout the 80's, and still good in the 90's.

One of my favorite INXS tunes and one of my fave 80s bands! Saw them live back then & loved the show. Their early stuff was just incredible. Shabooh Shabah is still one of my favorite albums and still totally crankable! Hmmm...gonna go look for it!

This song has special meaning for me. My ex was freaking out & trashing our apt cause she was upset for some perceived grievance or some stupid reason. So I bailed in hit the road in a my car in a wicked snow storm. And on the radio was this song. This was my cosmic cue to stay bailed. 'course it didn't happen in the short run but I've been clear and free for years. She's still burning off husbands the last I heard. Thanks INXS- Muskokas beware!

I love this band, and unfortunately, they were underappreciated even though they sold gajillions of records. Not many bands can not only sound as good or better than their albums live, but look fantastic doing it. Michael's only competition as far as best front man/lead singer ever was Jagger, Morrison, Bono, and I can't think of anyone else. That's way up in the stratosphere of singers, and on top of that he co-wrote almost all their songs. I really feel sorry for J.D. Fontana.

THE TUBE.. great show of its time.. all the bands that went on to glory seemed to appear on this show. INXS stood out by a mile for me and the rest is history, just regret not making the trip north to get to the studios to see INXS perform.

When INXS performed on this on the Tube in 1986, they were that good that the audience thought that the band was miming and playing along to the studio track and not playing live....fantastic band and even better live, it's such a shame.
