This person is NOT a good example for instruction. She clearly is NOT an instructor. If she spends 1/3 the vid explaining she's going to be on film so she can't wear a helmet and pads? Answer... wait a day and shoot your video with a helmet. Then her demo is a joke. Seriously? She puts her hands down at the end showing how inept she is? Donna... take the vid down and do it right. It just makes you look foolish. And yes, I'm a certified instructor.
@twentyinchsoul Aggressive skating is just as much a 'real' extreme sport as any other, infact it's one of the hardest to master and takes guts to do.
The only negative with your videos is having to go at least 30 seconds into the video to actually get into the topic. Other than that, well done on the videos.
@luke1093 Yes that seems to work better for some people. My suggestions are what I have learned but they are not written in stone. Thanks for the c omment.
@lunaticz0r Sorry you didn't get it. It's just another option for people who don't do well going up or down sideways as they can't keep control of their skates running off. Pushing the skate into the step gives some people more leverage.
@DonnaMarieWebber so...going backwards and have the danger of falling on the back of your skull is less dangerous then walking sideways with...well no danger at all? :/ pushing your skates will only make it more dangerous because SOME people will keep the power in their skates while stepping down which will make them lose balance
Worst idea going down backwards. Go down side ways so there is no chance you will roll down the stairs. You are certified to rollerblade? what the hell
@wildcatshockey1 Not everyone is that coordinated. As I have said before, I am trying to help beginners and recreational skaters. Sideways can be very tricky for newbies. Sorry you disagree. I offer additional techniques to try. They are not set in stone. We all find our own way to do things. I just give options.
@kaspar389 I'm not an extreme skater. I give tips for the beginner and recreational skaters. Since I am getting a lot of extreme skater views and comments, I guess I need to put a statement on my vids, NOT FOR EXTREME SKATERS. From the comments, I'm seeing that you guys are extremely arrogant and unkind. It is really too bad, as it is so uncalled for.
Take it easy. These self-proclaimed "extreme skaters" are pussies and bigtime loosers anyways. If they would be just half as "extreme" as they so loudly blazon out, they would go for a real extremesport and ride a bmx or a skateboard.
I agree with timms, but i have a question when im going down the steps can i use like a bar to hold on too while im stepping down or would that be not safe?
@Timms I guess I should expect some teasing from you eighteen year olds. I may not be able to do what you do, but considering that I am 36 years older than year, I think I can hold my own. :-) Donna
I can't believe that you would post this video and skate in it while not wearing your helmet. What if a child sees this, and takes your advice? Do you realize that you're supposed to be a role model? Just so we're clear, I am hearby officially boycotting your videos. I trusted you Donna, and the fact that you would betray that trust makes me feel disgusted. I am extremely disappointed in you.
@SkateNC1001 Funny how I didn't see anyone on your channel wearing any gear while skating and skate boarding. Besides, I wasn't skating per say. I was giving instruction on how to do something only. People in glass houses shouldn't throw stones. Busted!
that is the cowrds way to go up and down steps. But seriously i respect what you are tring to teach. Be more edgy on tour tutorials.harder stuff please
@MrManuhell Sorry but that won't happen because I cater to the recreational skater. I'm not an aggressive or extreme skater. Wish I were....Good Luck to you. Donna
@resonance2001 Just checked out your video and it seems you are dong pretty well on your wheels. Keep up the good work. I'm getting ready to release another video too. I'm back in the swing of things and hope to release videos more often again so stay tuned! Donna
... technic as when going up a steep hill while skiing? That's going up parallel to the stairs . Sometimes have to cross your legs though and there's a chance that you will slide forward or backwards, but I think it's still rather save. Dunno ... just thought I should mention it. Going downstairs really is a buzz killer for me :). Bby
@filoeva At least give it a try. going down facing the steps sounds crazy but once you do it, you'll see that it is a lot easier and faster. and if you have a railing, then it is a piece of cake. Hang in there and don't doubt yourself. thanks for your support. Donna
Hi Donna, I'm so happy that you've made new video. But I'm not so sure about this steps though. Going up is great. At least I find it efficient and safe. But going down ... I'm not so sure. I always hope that there will be a fense or wall near stairs when I come near. If there's nothing, and if there's more than you can jump over, that's still a problem for me. Not that what you've showed isn't great. It's just that I would look soo funny doing that on a busy street. How about using same ...
Nice video!

I dont see a ring on that finger! Lets get together, rollerblade, then head home and get sweaty! We can even try out some steps at your place.

Donna, I'm not ammused. You have nice buns but you did not do anything off the stairs. I was suspecting atleast a 3 out or a backflip.
Horrible

@LegitProFilms anything to hold onto would be an extra safe thing to do. Most steps do have a rail which makes this technique safe and easy.
