  • @darkkristin The duck's mommy. That's who.

  • @darkkristin I do...Its your kind of mentality that is going to help end the human race...

  • @darkkristin Probably you, the guy who clicked on the duck documentary.

  • @darkkristin u ever touched one?and the meat well cooked...

  • Mallards are friendly ducks, most especially if you have food.

  • mmmmmm roasted duck

  • I swear one of these has bit me one as a young lad.

  • @SamPD2 Forgive and forget. :)

  • Great documentary. More please

  • @chengsta9 Did you watch my other nature videos?

  • Aren't those 2 cute lovers at 00:51 ??

Sometimes they will stop and watch us humans too!

  • my neighbour's terrier attacked one of these in my backyard once, and it didnt fight back o.O

  • @8Eriquo8 These ducks are lovers, not fighters.

  • @8Eriquo8 That is animal abuse!

  • @molarmama5 no its not?

  • thx 4 the video i have a school project and u helped me learn!!!!!!!:)

  • @sutter2001 Glad I could help. I only guarantee my videos to be 87% accurate though, so be careful what you quote me on.

  • I've seen a couple of these ducks floating in a puddle after a rain.

  • @JateGuitar That must be a big puddle!

  • So, once they have eggs, the male ducks off?

  • Mallards are the best ducks EVER

  • @623callum Look, everyone knows that the Tufted Duck is the best duck ever. I'm not even sure why you would say something like that. ;)

  • @AgileHProductions Hmmm tufted ducks are the second best ducks x] Mallards have always been my favourite.

  • Mallards gangbang other birds, even males...no joke.

  • @IceTeaEdwin The duck world is a dark place.

  • Great video!

  • @tedlicious Thanks!

  • Once I threw a small lizard into the pond next to my house where a pair of mallard ducks were swimming. The lizard was trying to swim to the shore, but the female closed in on it and shook it around in her mouth like a dog would with a squirrel until it finally got in a position for her to swallow it. I'll never look at mallard ducks the same way, lol.

  • i love those tail feathers. my Hat is full of them, i take'em off every drake mallard i shoot.

  • male mallard ducks have green heads!!!!!!!!!!

  • Comment removed

  • that mallard drake is completely different than most, especially when its winter and their feather plumage is at its purest, there is no white ring on the neck and and the breast is grey, it should be brown

  • i was a duck for halloween ! lololololololololo

    ahahahahahah

dux r so cute. thums up if u like this alot

  • Thumbs up if you think ducks are cute when they walk

  • @rydag11 Thumbs up!

  • 2 people don't use a dog mask in their faces.

  • I'm just going to assume the only reason people thumbs-downed this video is because they, like myself, wish it was about 8 hours longer.

  • @Mallardfacts Amen brother!

  • I see these down at my school here in texas.

They will come pretty much right up to you at lunch.

  • I see mallards diving where I live!

  • @XzNightWalkeRzX Do they go completely underwater?

  • @AgileHProductions Not 100% but mostly.

  • @AgileHProductions Yup, Ive seen them dive!

  • I love these little dabblers...there is a female who has come to our backyard to make her nest three years in a row now. She sits on the eggs for a few weeks and then we watch the ducklings grow up all summer...so cute!

  • "They stay togheter until female hatch the eggs, soon after, male leaves" - wait, I am sure you spoke about ducks, not Europe

  • i have a question and can someone plzzzz respond. can mallards live without swimming or flying

  • @5hockeyboy5

theoretically. Why do you ask do you have one or something?

  • how do mallards be retarted to all desomatic dogs

  • @woobiwoodpecker1 Amen brother.

  • Quack quack quack!

  • @woobiwoodpecker1 retarted? desomatic?

  • @jjilane i mean't to related

  • The mallards up here in the middle of alaska don't feed off the surface of the water, they dive for fish fry. Looks quite hilarious seeing orange feet sticking out of the icy river.

  • I can tell you the mallard duck is one hell of a duck, always fun company, a fine duck.

  • @adamdude58 A fine duck indeed!

  • they live in Canada to f@#$ face

  • @halobrandoncox I think you meant to say "They live in Canada TOO f@#$ face!" I hope that's a helpful grammar correction for future comments.

  • @AgileHProductions Maybe Halobrandoncox meant that the reason mallards live in Canada is to f@#$ the Canadian's faces?

Just kidding, :D. I always find it funny when people try to insult someone yet do it in an unintelligent way. I like these documentaries Agile, you do a great job.

  • @Tarnishable I guess you're right. That would be a good reason to live in Canada. :)

Thanks for the kind words. I usually brush off negative comments, but I couldn't resist leaving a fun reply for this one. I hope to have a few more nature videos out over the next couple months. Hope you will tune in.

  • @halobrandoncox Also, I'm not sure if you realize this, I said that they live in North America and Canada is part of North America.

  • when people say north america is canada i say no its not canada is not a part of america i not a f@#$ing america i am a Canadian if you do live in america i am not calling you a f@#$er but i saying canada is not north america

  • 0:20 what is that? one duck floats on water? and one walks? what the.

  • Hello again AgileHProductions, your bird mini-documentaries are wonderful! Because the mallard is a familiar and well liked bird in Canada, you should consider posting this video to Canada’s Got Treasues, which can be done by joining our YouTube group (/group/TresorTreasure). It would be made available on our channel and website. Help celebrate Canadian diversity!

    Hamish,

Canada's Got Treasures, a VMC initiative

  • I like the part with the duck

  • @sylviabombs15 It's almost as good as the part with the water.

  • @sylviabombs15 dude there is ducks in every part of the video

  • @3Emend exactly!

  • I love ducks

  • At my job the same Drake and Hen come every year and raise there ducklings in our reflecting pool

  • Great I live around the Midwest and they are so cool they will eat bread too...whole grain preferred..lol

  • I have seen them dive a couple of times but it was very difficult for them and is very rare. By far they are dabbling ducks.

  • Very good. I've been working with wild mallards in Seattle, Washington for about 9 years now (studying animal behavior). Never mind working with them, they have taken me without question into their family and they are my little friends (pets, if you will). I'll post a silent video clip of them here as a "reply".

  • Mallard Ducks are found in the North of Scotland

  • imposible they only live for about 2 years

  • Oh, they can live a lot longer than that. The wild ones that I work with have been with me for 9 years. Many will live several years past that.

  • Great Video!!Check out my video called Ducks in my pool. We've had the same family of ducks nest near our pool for over ten years.

  • Excellent video.

  • Excellent video! Ducks are engaging creatures and they interact well with people who appreciate them. Ducks have HUGE BRAINS;-).

  • i hear geese in the back ground. since they like cheerios i going to put some in my hand and when they eat it i will grab them and ring their necks to take home and eat.. thanks HUGEBRANE for the tip

  • Ducks like Cheerios which some wild ducks will eat directly from my palm.

Ducks are quite endearing creatures. QUACK!

  • My ducks love the O's They follow me around if I have the container In my hand

  • @HUGEBRANE Cheerios is not a good diet at all for ducks. Can lead to many probelms such as malnutrition and slipped wing. Try something like cracked corn.

  • That's not a North American Mallard.

  • theres a female maliard with babies every year in our condo buildings courtyard pool. The groundskeepers built a little ramp so the babies could out easier onto the grass. Im not sure if its the same mother or one of her offspring because its been going on for almost 10 years now

  • espeshly im 11 dont expect gd writing

  • uhm, it's especially, not espeshly.

  • ducks are my fav animal they r soo cute esoeshly farmyard and mallard :)

  • Aw that's why when we had a pair around our house we didn't see the male for a few days then we didn't see th mother with the babies after they hatched. Thanks for the video .

  • I Love Mallards!!! I get one this weekend!!!

  • I fially got a greenhead duck in my yard..! i love it .. he loves water :P

  • Sounds so Epic lol "Stay away very dangerous lol"

  • Hooray! I love Ducks and mallards are my favourite!

  • @topcat5665 you do know that mallards rape other mallards...

  • @TheDarklord0211 Yes I do

  • @topcat5665 O.o somthing wrong with you...

  • @TheDarklord0211 I must say the same for you

  • @topcat5665 i'm not the one who likes watching ducks rape eachother.

  • @TheDarklord0211 Yes you are

  • @topcat5665 That made no sense... you dumbass.

  • @TheDarklord0211 It does make sense,

  • Another nice video. One small additional point - I've seen mallard chicks diving in my local park. I noted it because of the dabbling nature of the species generally, but while still in the "fluffy" stage they do dive sometimes. (And following from someone else's comment below, cases of homosexual necrophilia have also been recorded in mallards!)

  • I love mallard ducks! There are a lot of them in the local park where I take my walks.

  • That drake looks like it is a hybrid it doesnt have the distinct brown/burgandy breast that the drake should have with a white ring around its neck...

  • Comment removed

  • I'll have to somewhat disagree with the narrator on that part where he said that the drake only temporarily pair bonds with the hen until she lays her eggs. I've seen few families of Mallard Ducks in Ontario that actually have both parents looking after the ducklings. While most drakes leave the hens after she lays her eggs, there are some drakes that don't. It really just depends on the father's agenda. Some Mallards actually pair-bond for life.

  • Thanks for sharing your firsthand knowledge about the ducks!

  • @shotgun6X Yep, I say your correct on that

  • You must generalise to some extent if you are studying an animal.

  • Very good! I've been working (unofficially) with a flock of mallards hee for the past 8 years and they have taken me in as their alpha-male. One blonde mallard (seen in my silent video) once very early in the morning purposefully took me to her nest which I thought very odd. Mortality rate for ducklings at this lake is sky high. Four other species of waterfowl have left this lake and I am considering asking Fish and Wildlife about that. Many of the ducks are still elsewhere which is very odd.

  • What a lovely little video, thanks for posting.

  • i looove greenheads

  • aww so cute! :) im getting 4 mallards tomm morning~ ^-^ there gonna be a day old :3

  • Hmm. The hen looks almost like it's mottled.

  • maybe you can tell me what type of bird walks like a turky and hisses?? im my vid attack of the ducks

  • I like male mallard duck

  • i wish i was a duck

  • so do I my friend..sooooo dooooo I.

  • But you forget to mention, in your readings and dictations, that mallards are ferociously sexual birds which are promiscuous, savage, and homosexual. I've witnessed them attacking both other irds and even humans in their quests to dominate in a sexual frenzy. Such is that they can piss even Canada geese off to the extent of moving a whole flock from a chosen area! *See my video of mallards mating in low def mobile phone video* (Seriously, I'm not joking at all.)

    Excellent video though.

  • Mallards are fasinating and beautiful. They come to our local park lake in the spring. Some of them breed--even with the large white, domestic ducks that have been left there. By the way, they do not leave after the eggs are laid. They stay to protect the female and nest from rogue male ducks and predators.

  • Cole if you are on get ff the computer

  • HEY COLE!!!

  • thanks! thats a kewl video! i know much more about them now!
