  • that dress ms tina! BADD!

  • Man, she OWNS the stage. Some chicks make sure that they are the hottest one onstage by picking less attractive backup singers. Not TIna!

  • Deana3451. Good one

  • AMOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO...SHOWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW...ETC..☺/☺/☺/

  • Audience is sitting tight =)

  • This wasn't a Janis Joplin song it was a Beatles song.

  • I was crazy as hell! All this shit sounded da damn same!

  • Where was this show ? was this a quest spot ??

  • I've always loved Tina doing Get Back and I also loved Maude and still do - both Tina and the show Maude.

    Saskia

  • SEXXY, TINA THE QUEEN OF ROCK!!!!

  • @vangoghmatisse1 that's janis joplin, buddy

  • @LqrDrnkr757 YOU WISH, TINA IS THE QUEEN JANIS AGREED, THEY KNEW EACH OTHER. I LOVE JANIS TOO!!!!!

  • at 2:43 did Ike Turner call the Ikette over there because she stayed there a mighty long time !!!!!

  • @abrown2015 I think it was just part of the dance routine, but then again when it comes to Ike, who knows? He was a total control freak.

  • Why are people speaking as if Tina was the only member of the band? Tina was the voice, but Ike was the producer and musical genius. He's the one who picked the music, her wigs, clothes and even helped with the dance routines. Give him some credit!

  • @josbo51715 Even IKE said that Tina did the choreography and picked a majority of the clothing. Ike did not do everything lol

  • love her dress

  • Tina's Beatles & Stones covers are amazing because she's got the kind of voice they were trying to emulate to begin with.

  • beyoncè has no reason to exhist after tina turner, she doesn't deserve to be mentions in the same sentence.

  • Sooooooo hot!!!

  • Some awesome dance moves - love you Tina

  • At the end, Tinas like "get back you fuckin bitch!"

  • check out dem thighs oh lawdy

  • Is that Claudia Lennear in the Ike-ettes?

  • Tina Turner covers majority white music that is a FACT I dont think SO

HA HA Tina covered Otis Redding, Marvin Gaye she adored

Ray Charles no wonder Tina hates all this shit give her a break

without her no Janet, Beyonce, Rihanna etc

  • @luvtinaturnerlots Tina coverage of music is classic soul,r&b,rock, etc.Just because she expresses/picks her soul/songs in a particular fashion does not mean its white.Black people have a tendency of giving up their creations &typecasting their own people because the interpretations are not portrayed in that one-dimensional way as they see it.However, it is still soul for it all eminated from R&B.The same for Diana, its just lighter.Their talent/material is UNIVERSAL & no less black.Transcendent!

  • @luvtinaturnerlots True what you said: they wrote their own songs and covered black people's songs as well. Most of the white people's songs they covered were bands that started off by covering black people's songs. (E.g. The Rolling Stones, the Beatles, CCR.) So, what comes around goes around. And basically, who cares what songs of what people cover what...the songs are just good and Tina put her own spin on them in her unique way...and boy did she! Love the back-up girls too.

  • from the little that i know of tina from watching interviews and such, i have a feeling she would find all this harping on race to be annoying and distasteful.

  • @loqupol I heard that!

  • 2:47-2:49!! Love It

  • i want tht outfit

  • TINA TURNER = GIRLPOWER

  • I believe if Ike didn't mistreat her they way he did she wouldn't know pain and wouldn't give an amazing and perfect performance as she did. What he did was wrong, but there's always a great lesson from something bad. She's now unbelievably strong and the greatest inspiration!

  • but her name is ANNA MAE not annie mae

  • And people should consider the race of the person writting the song thats who you should credit

  • Tina used to be freakin hot.. omg o.O

  • WHEN SHES ON STAGE, SHE IS FREE!

  • @TheSonsOfLightWhen

and it also looks like people who view this performance also agree with me because I have the highest rated comments. So Get Back

  • @TheSonsOfLightWhen Come Togther Help It Takes Two Its only rock and roll Dancing in the Dark 1984 Hot Legs Missing Get Back River Deep Mountain High just to name a few. All covered by whte artists first. Tina Turner the Queen of Rock and Roll.
  • She had to find her success in Europe especially with Private Dancer for America to give her a second look. She wouldnt be half as successful if she would have believed in what you are saying "Black people invented rock and blues" the question is where were they when she broke up with Ike. People didnt want to have anything to do with her. Like Tina said "she is not going to wait on her race for her success, when the chance come you have to get out there and do your stuff"

  • @romemeka So who influenced the Beatles? Who influenced the Rolling Stones? Bands that Ike and Tina covered who wouldn't have existed if it weren't for black blues musicians.

Ike Turner was a blues and r&b guitarist through and through. He certainly wasn't playing "white music".

Many black artists had to appeal to white audiences in order to gain a more prosperous career. Take a look at the careers of blues musicians like Skip James and Son House and the adoption of their music by Clapton et al.

  • @AntacidJazz I believe they influenced each other.

  • @TheSonsOfLightWhen Tina Turner left Ike she resulted to white music hitting the hotel circuit working her ass off appearing on white variety tv shows. Even Ike complained that she hired all whites in her band covering rock and roll and even talk different. Of course this was not true it was actually from her days when she toured in Europe then to return to see that people still loved her there.

  • @TheSonsOfLight No I am sorry but you have it wrong. Despite the success of ike and tina turner who by the way Ike is credited at recording the first rock and roll song ROCKET 88, they covered alot of music from white artists. Thier biggest hit to date which won a grammy Proud Mary and is their greatest commerical success. It was first recorded by rock band Creedence Clearwater Revival.

    Great damn voice though.

  • @ironbuttermilk ike prolly picked it out lol !!!!

  • this is one of my favourite ever ike 7 tina performances

  • tina rocks

  • i like beatles version more but this is very good too ;D

  • I luv the backup singers/dancers in this performance. Tina's dress is so dope !

  • A very worthy and good cover of the original one

  • @Hacsaturjan who did the original?

  • You really don't know? Are you kidding me? The Beatles. It's on the Let it be album. Best wishes

  • she sings like a man very good

  • Great!

  • I agree, this tops the Beatles version (that 'get on back' addition just so full of grit and soul).

  • SWEET!!! I am a Beatle fan from way back and I love this

  • The Ikettes where off the chain too!

  • SHE KILLS THESE REMAKES ! I LUV THIS

  • i always think Tina did all the originals better then the original performers she put a black voice to white music and if you didnt understand then with Tina you understand now!!!!!!!!!!

  • @romemeka A Black voice to White music. Excuse me Black people invented Rock & Blues. Whites were doing Black music. You have it backwards.

  • @TheSonsOfLight you should consider the race of the writter of the song

  • @romemeka : You should consider the facts.

  • @romemeka It was actually black music to begin with...check out the leading influences for The Beatles, Rolling Stone etc. to begin with.

  • @lespaul2000 it does not matter what race came first in music it does not change the face that Tina Turner covers majority white music that is a FACT

  • @lespaul2000 it does not matter what race came first in music it does not change the fact that Tina Turner covers majority white music that is a FACT

  • @romemeka Just because Tina chose to sing classic rock n roll songs, does not mean she is doing white music. It all emanated from R&B. She just expressed the music in her own RARE & powerful style. If anything she just reclaimed the music and sang it in the spirit which blacks had originally created. Her style & music is not white, it is classic R&B done with her rock n roll spin. Thus, it crosses all genres and generations. That’s not a color thing. It’s a soul thing.

  • @classanddignity Or is she re-stealing music the blacks stole from the Scotch/Irish hilbillies?

  • @TEB1952 Where'd you get this tidbit of bullshit from about blacks stealing music from some Irish hillbillies hahaha

  • @romemeka I think Tina Turner did this very well, but it's not comparable with the style of The Beatles...

  • @LoulouBeatles it has way more soul.. the beatles style not so much for me

  • @mjjcng8958 yeah soul is cool, but music is more than soul you know :)

  • @LoulouBeatles i understand where your coming from now

  • @romemeka Well this is a blues song by structure and melody so its really black music either way.....

  • @romemeka Your confused she didn't put a black voice to white music She was doing her thing before the white folk caught on to the sound of Rock n Roll. Get Right chica.

  • I wasnt even thought of in '72. Hell, my mama was a kid back then. WOW.

    1:07 get it Tina!

  • Love the hair!!! love the dress...

  • The Iketas they are wonderfull too.

  • All I got to say..........WOW!!!

  • way to go out on a limb there mel...

are you sure the beatles did their song better?

  • nice legs... nice music... i'm kinda dizzy

  • OMG Im a teen and I declare. If i was alive back then i would have my way with TINA TURNER!! omg i would take her to the soft downy matress!!!

  • Music is not "American Idol" though the so called music business might want the kids to believe that's true. Its a shame you can only appreciate by comparing. Each is a unique voice of their generation and they are not a replacable commodity.

  • she is so damn hot.

  • Sometimes it seems me The Beatles Songs are written for Tina , absolutely wonderful , and Iam Sure Paul and John loved it too !

  • So true. I mean Get Back, Come Together, Help. Her version of Let it Be I didn't like much but I didn't like the Beatles' version either.

  • how did she gain that power and energy after the tough years between 67-69? was this the time she started to chant? the late 70s she seems so much tougher. she is such a strong woman.

  • i love her kicks , tina is totaly the queen of rock and roll

  • anna mae would sure be able to teach beyonce a thing or two...n show her how its done...

  • this is real funk! Soul...something the Beatles only dreamt of having.....

  • I'm sorry, but this makes the Beatles look like sexless punters. SO FUNKY!

  • we see where Beyonce got her inspiration from...Tina Turner! so amazing she is...

  • Damn, Anna Mae sung the hell outta this song.

    Sing it Anna Mae!!!

  • wow tina was really small like me....lol.she's beautiful

  • Big isn't everything and I learned to love who I am, and with all those sterotypes we gotta appreciate who we are!!!!

  • what a passion!

  • tina's energy and dance moves were out of this world

  • This is a video clip from Rollin' On the River (later called Rollin) TV series hosted by Kenny Rogers and The First Edition between 1971 - 1973.

The 52 episodes were filmed in Toronto, Canada. Rollin' was among the most watched syndicated shows in Canada and the USA

The First Edition became the first pop rock group to host their own prime time TV series in the USA.

    Remember?

  • Better than the Beatles version- finds the funk in it.

  • is it a wig?

  • Yes

  • yeah

  • yes its a wig, but it looks hot on her!

  • The First Fly Girls!!

  • Sho' U right!

  • Tina is my new favourite. All performances are amazing, entertaining and the music is amazing!

  • Comment removed

  • the backing girls on all these are superb.

  • WoW! This footage Rocks! Thank You For Sharing!!! My Favorite One.

  • The wig is shot, the mikes are acting up, but Tina and the dress are great. Love the face she makes at the mike at about 0:22.

  • Thats an expensive wig I think it was time to have it done again because it looks a hot mess.who knows what Ike might have done to her that day and that just might have been the best she could do.

  • I've seen her in it in photos and other clips and it is a great wig- one of my faves on her. But my guess is this was probably the wigs last performance. Lucky for us Tina just keeps going.

  • did she say get back loretta at 1:53? the mic kept moving down on her at the beginning but that was a great performance! i love tina!

  • She sure did! Isn't Loretta Ike's babies mama? And who was JoJo?

  • This reminds me of Motown....

  • it's the quite opposite music style!

  • jajajajjaja toda una leyendaaa

  • Are you sure it was Tom Ford? He would have been pretty young (as in a child or adolescent) in the 70s, plus I think he was with Gucci in the 90s.

  • the dancing girls are sooooo sexy!!

  • look at thoose legs

  • i agree tina is a pioneer cus back in those days what they worked hard performing and actually live vocals and dancing unlike todays singers the only one i can think of that can do it nowadays is beyonce

  • there was such a fluidity to music back than, when actual artists made songs that could transcend genres and inspire their contemporaries to put their own spin on a song. I cant think of any music right now that could be re-recorded in a different style without meaning for it to be comedic.

And im always shocked when I see video of Tina from the 70s with her long hair! She takes the stage like a demon in heels, this woman wasnt just a pioneer she was a revolutionary.

  • im 18 yrs and i love tina hits

  • so?

  • oh my goodness looks like Ike got ahold of her wig and gave it a beat down before the show, its a mess. love u tina

  • Get it Tina!

  • Hot tune...I want to rock Tina's outfit :)

  • Ike sounds lame! But she is absolutely incredible, a pure show woman.

  • yeah he shuda learnt the guitar parts

  • Yeah baby...

  • I don't know about the rest of you, i like her hair. I especially like the dress. Man those dresses rise sexually on the Ikettes. Who are the three Ikettes?

  • Esther Jones

    Edna Richardson

    Jean Brown

  • She's so fabulous. and that voice...AMAZING

  • They are all having MICROPHONE issues. Lol.

But TINA is amazing! She sang and performed right through it!

    :D

    Damone.

  • INCREDIBLE!!!

  • What did Ike do to her before this performance because her hair is out of control, and she looked liked she was scared while she was performing

  • When she first comes out and sing Came in Through the bathroom window her hair is more styled, but its such a 70's wig that it gets messed so fast..... she looks AMAZING here... true powerhouse!

  • Bitchin' cover tune.

  • i love tina turner

  • GREAT

  • Wow, she really turns this lame Beatles song into a smokin' number!!

  • No, you just have boring whitebread taste.

  • abuse isn't a joke

  • Fuck you, asshole. Your username sucks too.

  • i like how she looked at the microphone when it kept acting up lol. totally professional!

  • Awesome!

  • This Is the Best song Luv It

The Dance Moves Are Sooo Cool lol

  • Ummmm....I feel like a freak but has no one else noticed that Gucci copied this dress design for the same dress Oprah wore to the Oscars on 2006? Also Miss Universe 2007 from Japan competed and won in a very similar design to this dress...I love it but I feel like fashion watching went with the rest of the 1990s...

  • Wow! Im mad cause yr right.

  • Thanks...I feel like less of a martian now!

  • I'd never heard this song before (by the Beatles) but I like it esp Tina's funky version.

  • even though you couldn't hear it that well i still loved it! tina and the ikettes dance so wonderful! i love tina's hair, dress, voice, singing voice, and especially her damn legs! she is damn pretty

  • Truly professional (Ike was too cheap to replace any equipment "mic stand")

  • Looking at this all I can say is Beyonce totally channels Mrs. Tina Turner on stage to the "T"

  • best legs God ever made

  • I love Tina so much her story is my story i really could relate to her movie.and ike's wifes name was not loretta it was Laraine

  • Cool stuff alright :o))

  • you know: tina was dedicating this song to ike's first wife loretta...she told her to get back to where you belong

  • no, she was lorane, loretta was in the orrigional version.

  • and with all that being said of the magic that is tina, that is still one fine song messrs lennon-mccartney. whatta smouldering cauldron of pure talent. thanks for the upper.

  • Anyone have the "came in through the bathroom window" performance from the same gig? It rocks!

  • The best version of get back great gig!!

  • Wow, those are some short skirts. Hot, mama!

I love this version of Get Back; Thanks for upping it.

  • i was thinking the very same thing

    hot very hot
