it does not contain any evil in it nor does kill anyone who open it. when opened it releases a gaseous hallucinogen substance that affects our perception, when someone think he/she will die when he/she open it the gas makes it happen. This gas is what also affected professor layton and all others when they visited the town of folsense into thinking the town is still intact and there were townspeople in it.

this game is awesome i already got it and beat it. And let me tell you the puzzles are only half the game. The story is like seriously suspenseful, almost like a really good novel. Except its more fun to "read" :)

The first Layton game was amazing, and the second will probably be even better. The puzzles are great, and the cutscenes in between are just as awesome, of equal or higher quality than most anime.
