Jesus coming back from the dead is not a miracle at all. I've seen stuff like that happen all the time in movies, those being that come back from the dead are not miracles, just zombies.

There is a problem with some miracles, despite the information the stories provide. Quite simply, miracles affect some people and not others. It's favoritism. It also demonstrates that God CAN do something about suffering in the world, but DOESN'T most of the time. Not all miracles are like that, the gift of Jesus' sacrifice applies to all people, so I have no problem with that miracle. Anyhow, that's my opinion on the matter.

You are missing the point. Jesus could have done a hell of a lot more, just as God can do right now. This is why people lose faith.
You believe the Christian God exists. I'm sure bad things are going on in your life. Doesn't it annoy you to know that everything bad in your life could very easily be fixed by God, but he just hasn't.
He could make your life, and everyones' lives, perfect and it would not affect his 'plan'. Even though he is benevolent, he won't help.

i would have to say in many respects this man is correct. i dont consider myself a christian, but i do study christian theology, and miracles are miracles. the bible also provides reasonable explanation for why jesus performed the miracles he did.

There are so many comments on here since my comment, that I can't actually find my own comment, but I believe I was pointing out that the Bible is a compilation of contributions and revisions from a large number of people, many of whose identities are unknown. It has undergone, deletions, additions, and many other changes over hundreds of years.

TFP is attacking a strawman. AA does use the bible to inform his critique, he just chooses to use the Old Testament because one of the foundational claims of Christianity is that Jesus is God incarnate. If that is true, and the Gospels are literally accurate, then it follows that Jesus was God and he was an asshole.

There is a problem with some miracles, despite the information the stories provide. Quite simply, miracles affect some people and not others. It's favoritism. It also demonstrates that God CAN do something about suffering in the world, but DOESN'T most of the time. Not all miracles are like that, the gift of Jesus' sacrifice applies to all people, so I have no problem with that miracle. Anyhow, that's my opinion on the matter.

I really wouldn't bother wasting your time with him. It just gives him more to play around with. His entire channel can be answered quite briefly in a video or two, because he really hasn't offered anything to the debate over God's existence or the truth of Christianity that merits honest investigation, because he does not produce intellectually honest material.
