  • boy your voice sound choked,

with the next man style between ur teeth, tongue and throat like....

gotta wash your mouth out with soap..

my pen stroke, is leaving other men broke,

what i invoke is never asleep, ever woke - mos def

  • rookies - take notes

  • My favorite track on this album.

  • this dudes on another level..so underrated.

  • this is one of the illest songs ever

  • I stumbled on this album by chance at the age of 12. Found it in a pawn shop for 3$ it's worth 100 times that. I'll be jamming this shit till the day I'm gone.

  • .....and 2 people are still stuck in this solar system. (lol)

  • "....son its in my chromosomes to rock this, I got this, (watch this) assemble my rap tap ya pockets, knock this, stimulate nerve ends and chakras, smart art, breakin apart hearts in darkness" Mos Def is tooooo ILL. Man I love Hip Hop. Seriously.

  • @reem215 That right there is one of my favorite parts in this whole song

  • "cats take it to heart like a ventricle"

gotta love mos defs word play ... one of the best

  • man, this is hip hop.

  • Sick track. I highly recommend listening to EvanAwakes mix of it, I've had the thing on replay for hours and it only gets better and better.

  • @Raelsatu Absolutely. EvanAwakes' remix is sick. It even makes Mos Def's delivery seem more charismatic.

  • one person is deaff or hit the dislike button by accident...next time you will get your hand chopped off!!

  • been bumping this whole album for a solid 6 years now, i feel like this is the prime candidate for GOAT. definitely represents hip hop as a whole, sickest lineup backed by some of the finest production ever. never gets old!

  • FROM THE EAST TO THE LEFT COAST!

  • Dope beat.

If u like hip hop check my version :p

    /watch?v=cLT_ktIb2lQ

  • yes this album takes me back to the days right after i got out of HS. Hip hop was at the pinnacle, especially the underground artists like Mos at that time. Underground never sounded better! Lets bring back Rawkus records!

  • Never gets old, fresh spring track

  • 10 years ago I ordered this CD thru a local CD/vinyl store. I NEVER knew it would become one of the most epic CDs I EVER owned. This poor CD is WORE ASS OUT!!

  • Hip Hop is eternal. Word life. Shout out to mighty mos. Brooklyn keep taking it.

  • 118 likes 0 dislike...Now that fucking says something. Even though this comment will probably jinx that, still.

  • @ac1dchr15t damn skraight, mos def got something special in em.

  • @ac1dchr15t most of the tracks off this mixtape has 0 dislikes

  • Amazing track. I'm ashamed to say I called myself a Mos fan without knowing what he did on the Rawkus compilation albums. THIS is hip hop at it's finest. Props to Hi-Tek for the great beat beat and instrumentals.

  • just imagine what would happen if they played this on the radio just once.

  • I agree totally, this is my best compilation hiphop album of all time, God bless Mos def

  • How the fuck we go from this to niggas like lil wayne? Where did we go wrong america?!

  • man i wish i tryed to blow up as a rapper, most rappers out today have more motivation than talent,i kill half these dudes, but i cant hate, they have the drive to do it while more talented rappers sit on their ass.

  • wow mos is a genius great beat also

  • hands down the best album i ever purchased...

  • @molsontooheys

    i have 1,2 and 3!

    yay for me.

  • I got the Soundbombing 1,2, & 3 CD's but pt 2 is my favorite! That CD is whore ass out!!

  • I got this too and bought it back in the day when it was released, been listening to it for nearly ten years now.

For those who are missing out: You have no clue on what Hip Hop really is!!

    Peace!!!

  • Real HIP HOP SHIT right there........A real classic. NUFF SAID

  • you temporary like a weather pattern; forgotten like you never happened - they'll never say 'whatever happened to Mos?'; my light shine close from the east to the left coast!

  • bought this cd when it came out in '98 or so. almost EVERYBODY slept on it man because jay-z ruled the airwaves then (*yawn). no wonder everybody thinks the cd is rare. This has always been a hip hop classic and a great way to close out what the 90s meant for hiphop. i miss the glory days of rawkus.

  • @enycepinoyism For real dude I co-sign EVERY sentiment right there. I'm from the UK and after this dropped HMV & other record stores dropped the Hip Hop & Hip Hop import sections where we'd pick up this stuff on vinyl or CD. After that, it was all labelled "Urban music" and basically only stocked mainstream. So sad.

  • @JayGriffinblaze yeah its depressing man. "urban music"? seriously? lol daym

  • Comin' to the party in the b boy stance!

  • nothing more need be said

  • dope cd..

  • Thats wrong RIPDAJ. 7 euros are about 10 bucks. Nevertheless. Great album! True HipHop will never die.

  • I've bought it about six years ago for about 7 euro, that is only 5 dollars or something.

    Bargain !

  • a hu ha ha

  • This is my favorite Mos Def joint.

  • i remember playing this cd back to back when i was highschool . yea this shit is rare. thx for sharing this!

  • @nonphixional1 man i feel you on that, my cd is all scratched from me transferring it to different players wherever i went. The case is all fucked up too. but its just timeless bro i didnt realize how rare the cd was now! would've taken better care of it!

  • @enycepinoyism Oh Yeah, My case is gone and CD is scratched all over from playing it in different cars and places.

  • I REPEAT WHO WANT IT!

  • Why can't i download this song?? What's the real name of it? :P

  • Next Universe.

  • cats take it to heart like a ventricle.

  • this beat is sick.. mos def lyrics are sick... hi tek + mos def= fatality combo

  • amen

  • do anybody know the name of the sample????

  • this song is amazing

  • Perhaps the only way you can make Mos Def's flow any more epic is to put it on an album with so many underground hip hop gods and then have the whole thing mixed by the Beat Junkies. This album is pure win, I'll be listening to this shit for another 20 years! Classic!

  • @gearsighted or for life!

  • YO!!!!!!! this brings it back kid! this was the only cd I had left after my wip got broken into when I was in Hawaii. and the only CD i would bump MAD loud just to let niggaz know NEW YORK WAS IN DA BUILIDIN!!!!!

  • oh yes new york is always gonna be in the BUILDIN...im a BXMAMI allday!!!

  • ILL!

  • somebody post 1-9-9-9!

  • whooooo brings me back to da ´99 kidddd, right before hiphop died of alzheimers

  • the video on here "secret of mana walkthrough 55: the mana tree" has wat someone claims to be the sample for this - im not so sure... maybe.

  • been looking for this song forever have every mos cd forget to even look at my soundbombing cds....bangin

  • mos def is one of my favorite MCs

  • mean!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I broke my cd player in my car when I got Soundbombing 2 back in the day. I played it so much and for so long nonstop that it actually overheated. The cd didnt survive all of that either.

  • haha dope story

  • one of the best compilation...rawkus is just too dope!this was my shit 6 years ago and still is ...

  • anyone got the instrumental? beats too nice!!!!!!!!! hi-tek beats kill it

  • Another great beat by Hi-Tek,and sick ryhmes by Mos Def.

  • this is that late 90's hardcore breakdancin, graffiti writin, hip hop shit that I MISS DEARLY

  • damn SBII changed my whole perspective on hiphop music.

  • There's a remix which sounds amazingly sicker although this here is incredibly dope. Mos Def knows how to light it up.

  • best era of hiphop

  • check the name son.

    sickest song ever

  • This track has the best flow I've ever heard in hiphop

  • hip hop from this era definetely puts new shit to shame, lol. Nothing compares to early/mid/late 90's underground, everything else sounds like garbage.

  • Boah, ne!

  • Love this 1 !!! thx for upload

  • The beat is really good

  • You won't believe this but the beat is taken note for note from this game for the super nintendo called "Secret of Mana". It was a role-playing game involving dragons and stuff. The beat plays when the team of three first discover the mana tree in the game. The game has great music but I'd never thought I'd hear Mos rhyming to it until now.

  • Such a sick sample. That's awesome that you knew where it came from. I thought it was Piano out of an old Billy Holiday song. Awesome catch, man! A testament to how intricate true hip hop is!

  • damn man i also wondered what that piano sample was thans for the info

  • i uploaded talibs last track off soundbombing 1 2000 seasons but its not coming up when i search for it in my profile its uploaded though, if anyone wants to help me out ill post it, comment here or to me if you can and ill check back. its my first video and i dont know what im doing wrong so please help. thanks

    mos def is beyond,

in fact most cats can agree on
