  • Unfairly taxing the rich is a ridiculous proposal. Instead, just take out the loopholes that allow the very wealthy and the corporations to skimp on taxes and that should be enough. Simplify the tax code and make it fair for everyone. I also find it ridiculous that he feels that the general American public is responsible for maintaining Vermont's low income heating program and community centers. Really? Kentucky doesn't get them but they have to pay for Vermont's? Sounds like a STATE issue. -_-'

  • Bernie your speech does not appeal to Republicans at all! Start talking about how rich people will get cold in the winter and suffer, THEN Republicans will listen to you!

  • He should give up and go home no one is listening. Everyone in congress is vacation year around. No one cares about the american people anymore.

  • We need to go flat tax and ditch tax brackets. All we get is class warfare and deficits and extreme partisan gridlock. Too many people without a horse in the race and yelling for more tax increases. Let's level the rate and we can vote on social program expansion. Right now we have people advocating for program expansion and shifting the entire funding to one tax group.

  • @mrnochoice US corporate tax rate scales to 38%... Highest in the English speaking world.

  • @Jonger1150 For a start it is 35% and because of loopholes, subsidies, and sheer illegality it is anywhere between 0-9%

  • I WANNA SEE WHEN HIS PARENTS DIED AND I HOPE HE'S VERY CLOSE TO THAT AGE THIS IS A TOTAL COCKSUCKER

I HOPE HE GETS BRAIN CANCER OR DIES FROM 'NATURAL CAUSES' SOON. FUCKING LOSER. EVERY TIME I FLIP BY MSNBS THIS LOSER IS ON TALKING HIS HIPPIE VIEWS.

    ..

OMFGOODNESS HE'S A SENATOR *SHAKES HEAD*

THIS IS LIKE KOKEHEAD KUDLOW: SOME CRANKLY OLD SAGGY DOUCHE WHO SHOULD GET BRAIN CANCER OR SOME ELDERLY DISEASE SOON I'M NOT BEING EMOTIONAL I'M JUST BEING STRAIGHT UP

  • @Eleetnessful Why? Why all this hatred?

  • Immoral, Grotesque, Unfair"

I THOUGHT U WERE REFERRING TO THIS DOUCHE

WHY DOES HE CALL HIMSELF AN "INDEPENDENT"? THIS GUY IS CLEARLY A HIPPIE AND HE SHOWS UP ON THESE SHOWS ON MSNBS WITH THESE COMMENTATORS W/ MENTAL PROBLEMS

SERIOUSLY, I WISH I COULD SAY THIS TO bernie's FACE: "GO FUCKIN' DIE. PLEASE GET BRAIN CANCER OR SOMETHING AND DIE A SLOW AND PAINFUL DEATH" I'D UNDERSTAND IF HE CHANGED OVER TO DEMOCRAT, BUT THIS SAGGY OLD DOUCHE IS PRETENDING TO BE AN INDEPENDENT. HOW OLD IS HE?

  • Senator: We have a Spending Problem! We need to get our Fiscal House In Order. Let's start with Fiscal Responsibility, NOW!

  • @Unklebillybob We don't have a spending problem our National Govt is the smallest as a percentage of GDP in the developed world and it appears to have grown larger, when it hasn't because of the recession. We have a taxing problem, we have the lowest taxes in the developed world and still foreign CEOS kick the living bejeezus out of ours, btw the effective corporate tax rate is actually about 7-9%

  • This country has the highest corporate tax rate in the world. Its a spending problem.

  • @Jonger1150 LMAO, do you get your info from Fox News? USA does not have high corporate taxes, look at Canada (who suffered the less from the economic crisis) for example... In 2009 USA was 79 / 119 according to global finance magasine. The lower 1/3 is not the highest in the world....

  • Simple enough... You dont tax money that has been taxed already. Done.

  • ~~~^^^^^~``Americans should know the differEnce between voter fraud and ELECTION FRAUD. Voter fraud is non-existent. ELECTION FRAUD DOES EXIST. REPUBLICANS have a reputation for using DIEBOLD ELECTRONIC voting machines to commit ELECTION FRAUD. CALLyour congressperson & SENATOR & DEMAND the ELIMINATION of ELECTRONIC VOTING MACHINES & that we switch to a VERIFIABLE PAPER VOTING METHOD.~~~^~^^^~```` To win in 2012 REPUBLICANS will NOT hesitate to use ELECTION FRAUD AGAIN.

  • Sanders is an idiot.

  • @tooltalk How is Senator Sanders an idiot? He's the only Senator fighting for the American people.

You wouldn't be one of those low IQ Tea Baggers that just pulled something from your ass and wanted to share it with everyone are you? The childish incompetence of the Tea Bagger Congress causing the downgrade of America's credit rating and the current global market down turn was more than enough excrement.

The Tea Baggers now own the trashed economy, can't wait to vote the Tea Baggers out.

  • @tooltalk It is remarkable how the American media has managed to turn its own citizens against acting in their own interest. Yes, Sanders is an idiot. Take away services from your fellow average citizens so that the top 2% can buy another jet that year. Do whatever you can to help those CEOs buy more mansions at the expense of old people being able to heat their homes, or young people going to get an education. Sanders is such an idiot for not supporting breaks for the rich YOUR expense.

  • I love you Bernard Sanders...

  • @Unklebillybob, to continue my point only about 10-20% of the top 1%'s wealth is is income. The rest is not taxable. So even if they had a 100% tax rate they would keep the majority of their wealth. Unlike the bottom 90% whose wealth is almost 90% taxable income. And it's true that the top 10% of Americans pay 71% of the tax burden (1.7 trillion) they have 70% of the wealth (37.9 trillion)

  • @Unklebillybob the bottom 50% of Americans pay 3% of the tax burden. That seems small right? The bottom 50% own but 1% of all the wealth in America. The top 1% pays 40% of the tax burden but also owns 40% of the wealth. The bottom 50% pay 13% of their wealth in taxes while the top 1% pays 3% of their wealth in taxes. So who has more. 87% of 1%. or 97% of 40%. The tax burden is 2.4 trillion and the top 1% has 20 trillion in wealth. The bottom 50% has 0.9 trillion in wealth.

  • We used to be the western civilization. Fighting for freedom, fighting for equality but somehow the USA doesn't want to be a part of this anymore and somehow we Europeans still got love for you guys. Maybe we can go back to our roots. Maybe?

  • Who is the guy who is sitting behind Senator Sanders? I have seen him there in other speeches.

  • Classic Bernie Sanders.

  • AW HELL YEAH.

This man should be our president.

  • The middle-class & poor just got a "Tax hike" with this deal........we will be paying more for things now.

  • @swaves1952 : eh? from 0% to 0% is more?

  • maybe america is crumbling, but maybe that's good for the world.

  • Ive read all the pages of the comments. I am scared.

Everybody is fighting one another. We are entrenched in our partisanism. Neither side willing to give up ground. Standing firm to their ideologies. America is a ship steaming towards an iceberg, the parties are 2 captains fighting on which way to steer the ship. By doing nothing and not cooperating, they will ruin America, that simple. However, if they would just stop trying to get re-elected and do their job, the reelection will come to them.

  • Bernie--YOU are a "real American" who cares about this country and the people in it.. Most politicians could learn much from you, if only they wanted to. I won't even comment on Republicans--they are useless, evil, hooligans who are akin to traitors and terrorist, who would rather see this entire country and its citizens fail if, by letting that happen, they can get back in power. (OK--so I DID comment on Republicans after all),

  • Al Gore / Bernie Sanders 2012

  • @Sarge714 : one is batshit crazy, the other straight from insane asylum - that's a perfect couple!

  • OK I get it. 1+ trillion is chump change up against the Quadrillion or so in imploding derivatives that our government whores have signed us up to support in a banker's fraud. So if the cuts are not explicitly outlined, no sane representative ought to support that bill.

  • Corporate Fascism Runs America! A NATIONAL STRIKE IS IN ORDER~!

  • Taxes are a sensitive topic, we all get that, but the one thing I never understand is that why people are voting with their wallets, instead of their hearts, I may be hated for this statement, but our government needs money to survive, if it dies, the country is screwed, and I oppose not taxing the rich, I belive that everybody should pay a certin percentage.

  • Taxes are a sensitive topic, we all get that, but the one thing I never understand is that why people are voting with their wallets, instead of their hearts, I may be hated for this statement, but our government needs money to survive, if it dies, the country is screwed, and I oppose not taxing the rich.

  • Here's a simple question for all the Liberals out there. Or maybe conservatives could answer it also.

Oblama, Reid, Pileosii, and lots of the Democrat congress, all seem to think the Rich are those who make $250,000 or more. My question is,"What Persentage of the Business Income, of that $250,000 should, State & Federal Governments Be allowed to Steal?

  • Comment removed

  • @Bolgernow Let me type slower. How much Should Businesses (Making over $250,000), Be FORCED to pay in Both Federal & State Taxes? Just, Simply Give me a Percetage of how much more the government should STEAL From businesses, than they're already are taking out in taxes.

  • @Unklebillybob I see we have an impasse since you believe Taxes are stealing. They aren't. To answer your question since you're unable to accept the government reality of taxes, I'd tax income over that range at 39-44%. Today that number stands at 35% for income, & only 15% for Capital Gains, which I'd raise to 22-25%(hurts me)

  • @Bolgernow You would tax at a rate of 44%. Which would mean that a person working 5 Days a Week would have to work, just for the federal government 2.2 Days per week,,,, Or in a year's time ,,, Business owners would need to work for the govment All Of: JANUARY, FEBRUARY, MARCH, APRIL, MAY & half of JUNE, before they could start making money for themselves. And exactly what does the federal govnment do with that tax money? They Piss-It-Away, and Are Not Fiscally Responsible.

  • @Unklebillybob your post is extremely anti-government, but make no sense or valid points at all. It's utter gibberish. To answer your question they build roads, keep the Post Office operating, DOD(you know, Iraq & Afgan), have clean water, quality food with the FDA, education, Social Security, FBI, Medicare, CIA, & literally thousands of other valuable tools Americans use every day. Again, if you don't like it, you're free to leave at any time

  • @Bolgernow I'm against a Fiscalyl Irresponsible government. The Post Office, a perfect example of a poorly managed organization. Government needs to quit getting in the way of private industry. Govt needs to stop thinking they are Santa Claus & giving OUR MONEY to countries that hate us. Govt needs to keep the hell out of Health Care.

Govt needs to do the job they were hired for.

As for leaving this country ,,, Being a Combat Marine I more than earned my right to be here

  • @Unklebillybob claiming Taxation is "theft" or "stealing" is a lie. No, it's not. Your service is admired, thank you & Semper Fi! But that doesn't suddenly excuse a basic obligation of any citizen in the US, taxes. I don't like high taxes either, but taxes are at a HISTORIC LOW. Sure, let's get ride of the US Mail. Then it's only Fed Ex, UPS, DHL; premium services. How much do those cost again? A lot. The creation of our PO is in the Constitution. Article I, Section 8, Clause 7

  • @Bolgernow Yep. Now, let' bring it back down to basics. I Am Against A Fiscally Irresponsible Government. Our Government is Fiscally Irresponsible. Within the past 7 Months, ~ 55% of the American People spoke to congress and told them they supported Cut, Cap & Balance. Did they listen? NOPE!

The next question is why are "...taxes at a HISTORIC LOW"? That's not a hard one to answer. It has to do with a Fiscally Irresponsible Govment.

  • @Unklebillybob yes, you hate all government. Might I remind you, that you're job is PAID FOR BY THE GOVERNMENT YOU FUCKING MORON?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?! Go watch FOX & make stupid babies

  • @Bolgernow You don't pay attention, Do You?

Was I a Combat Soldier? Yes

Did I get paid with tax payer money, to protect You Ass? Yes

Do I hate a Government that is Fiscally Irresponsible? Yes.

Do I hate all Government? No

Do all people like you have a right, as a US Citizen, to diaherra at the mouth? Yes

Is it a smart move to Curse at People? Probably Not!

  • @Unklebillybob "Do I hate all Government? No". You might wish to amend that from your posts. You dislike the Post Office, you think "Taxes" are "theft", yet they PAY FOR YOUR SALARY. You have seriously no clue what you're typing & the irony is hilarious. FYI, my brother Daniel P. Bolger is currently a 3 star in the Army, & his son(my nephew) is in Iraq thanks for the snide tone you goof

  • @Bolgernow I see you're still a little slow, I said, "I hate a Government that is Fiscally Irresponsible."As for the post office, They Could do a better job of managing their resources.

I'll say this again, because you're slow. Between 47-51% of US Tax Payers don't pay any Federal Taxes?

Thus, 49-53% of us pay for those that pay NOTHING. Which means, the Govment needs to TAKE MORE from those of us who work. Now, the govt wants to increase taxes on successful businesses. THAT IS STEALING

  • @Unklebillybob every circle needs a jerk. Just found one. TAXES AREN'T STEALING fuckjack

  • @Unklebillybob The post office isn't run by the gummint.

  • @Unklebillybob

Very few people count business income as personal income.

  • @Unklebillybob saying taxes are "stealing" is irrational & not a valid statement...

  • @Bolgernow What percentage of your income do you pay in Fedeal Taxes? You don't have to tell me. But if everyone were to be taxed at the same rate, that would be fair. However, between 47-51% of US Tax Payers don't pay any Federal Taxes? Some in congress feel that the rick People Making over $250,000 should pay "Their Fair Share" . And some of those in congress think that the Fair Share of the RICH is 70+% of thier income. That my friend is STEALING!

  • @Unklebillybob you clearly have serious fight with reality. Good luck with that!

  • Thhis guy looks like a mad scientist!!!

  • The Republicans officially held the country hostage and damaged its credit rating long-term with this debt debacle. They obstructed and stomped their feet AGAIN until Obama and the D's rolled over AGAIN.

In the words of 3PO; "We're doomed".

  • I've watched this now three times- to maintain faith that there is ONE politician in Washington that is guided by a strong sense of empathy and compassion.

    Thank you, Bernie!

  • it's already too late, this debt will never get paid off, it's all semantics at this point.

even if we stopped spending and borrowing from henceforth, 100 generations will not live to see this debt satisfied.

remember when a thousand seemed like a lot, then a million, then a billion, now a trillion, we and the rest of the world be on a wild ride

  • Senator Sanders has everything upside down. What is grotesque and unfair is some people being forced to pay for others. This is coercion and theft. Bernie Sanders government will become more and more intrusive and tyrannical while the people become more dependent and destitute. Socialism doesn't work.

  • @66605 our US government has use taxes to operate since our inception. If you don't like it, you are free to leave at any time, or you must levitate because you are not allowed to use our public roads

  • @Bolgernow

I don't mind paying for what I use. It is being forced to pay for others that I object to. The welfare state produces a parasitic relationship between productive responsible people and those who think someone else owes them a living. Thanks to people like Sen. Sanders more and more people are parasites and the government goes deeper into debt.

  • @66605 then you object to the concept of taxes. How should we bill your individually for the road? 50 cents a mile, 90, 5? Look if you'd like to start 66605 land, you set the rules, no problem. Until then, you might have to compromise a tad to live with the rest of us in society. If you don't like modern American government that uses taxes to operate, try a 3rd world country will no FDA, they'll love ya!

  • @Bolgernow

Modern America is bankrupt thanks to the New Dealers and other socialists who created the welfare state. I would be happy living under the tax system we had in the late 1800's. The average man benefited greatly from the free market, low taxes, and no welfare state, etc. America is going the way of Greece. Thanks, you unAmerican socialists! Why don't you guys move to another country?

  • @66605 Glenn Beck does your bit better...

  • @Bolgernow Every time you purchase gasoline at the pump, you pay a huge tax on each purpose. That is how the roads are paid for. Except, of course, Congress in it's stupid Washington Voodo Economics, spends it on whatever they damn well please.

  • @Unklebillybob oh, so ALL federal roads are paid for by a "gas tax"? Really? And you specifically base this on? Aside from your massive lie, let's indulge say "Yes, all pavement on roads comes from a gas tax"(Instead of a portion of that which is CBO reality). Then what pays for the signs, sign markers, metal rails, lights lighting the signs, electricity, etc?

  • @Bolgernow The next time you're at the gas pump, notice that there is a STATE TAX attached to the price of Gasolione. It is the responisbility of the Federal Government & State Government to be Fiscally Responsible. The Federal Government has already proven they ARE NOT! Those taxes are not there to be Pissed-Away on special pet projects.

  • I am now an Independent voter

  • dude in the background is like one of those artists who just stand there all day

  • Pinko commie bastards!!! Heathens!!! Why should anyone who makes over $250,000 pay taxes? That's an outrage!!! The rich drive the economy, while the other 98% should just work harder on becoming rich. The American way is not to help thy neighbor out. The REAL American way is to push the guy next to you in and if he sinks, good for you. And anyone who reaches out to help the drowning masses is a communist! Screw our collective society! If you have $, you should use it to keep the poor man poor!

  • Bernie Sanders 2012

  • Many thanks to our leaders that think and stand tall against almost impossible forces.

  • Why do we need the federal government to fund all those programs? It is incapable of balancing it's budget because it knows it can print money. Plus a lot of that money gets pocketed by rich people.

  • Finally, someone who makes sense. I like this man

  • Bush tax cuts could expire today and it wouldn't even put a dent in the debt we are stacking up. Entitlements will be 100% of tax revenues in 15 to 20 years and all other government fuctions will be unfunded, a few years after that the interest from the debt will be so enormous it will be unpayable. Default is immanent unless major cuts to entitlements happen.

  • Now here is a leader we can believe in! Unfortunately there are few people like him in politics.

  • who's that dude that's always sitting behind him lol

  • Bernie please o please run for president in 2012.... Your country DESPERATELY needs you.

  • Alan Arkin should play him in a movie.

  • Thomas Jefferson warned, “To preserve independence … we must not let our rulers load us with perpetual debt. We must make our election between economy and Liberty, or profusion and servitude. … The fore horse of this frightful team is public debt. Taxation follows that, and in its turn wretchedness and oppression.”

  • You go Sanders! America needs fair taxes for the rich (which are now the lowest in the world) and tax loopholes removed ! Here in Canada our taxes are much higher and we have a consumption tax yet we have lower unemployment and a stronger economy! And our health care system takes care of everyone! What party am I a member of? The Conservative Party of Canada!

  • Hitler was a center-left pacifist that believed that at some point the world should disarm their armies and war should be something of the past. Hitler said that peace was a requirement of morality and reason. He said that a moments worth paled in comparison to that of centuries.

  • Socialist Sen. Bernie Sanders: Debt Deal Obama Cut With Republicans Is “Immoral,” “Grotesque” And “Unfair”…

The same description also applies to the failed Communist ideology Sanders continues to believe in.

  • @studinthemaking

Yes, because we know Norway, Sweden, and Denmark are just complete wasteland dystopias.

  • @shadowboxer47 : actually the Nordics have been steadily moving away from the socialistic welfare state since 1990's. Denmark, for instance, has one of the most flexible employment / labor laws in the developed world. Sweden has one of the most vibrant private education providers in the world - over 10+% of all school aged attending private ones.

If you do want to look at the failed communist ideology at work, look up Mao's China vs. Deng's China; socialist sub-Sarahran Africa vs Botswana .

  • @studinthemaking Sanders is not a communist you fascist.

  • @studinthemaking You are an idiot, a troll, and a turdinthemaking.

  • @studinthemaking There is a HUGE difference between socialism and communism. You obviously don't know this since you use the words as if they're the same thing.

  • This guy makes too much sense to be in Washington.. How did he voted into office?? Someone in Virginia understands him, and voted for him.. Wish he was my congressman..

  • Luv u Bernie, but pole don't matter when gov is owned by oligarch who will collapse our economy & move else where so they can collapse another until the whole world is dead or dieing. They are out to gut Amer 'cause the countries they 1st gutted (which our corp bought milt. indus. complex gov allowed), threw them out. Let's throw them out too. We don't need their kind of jobs. We need good living wage jobs that grow green, sell & buy local, & are run democratically not like mini dictatorships.

  • Imagine if there were enough Bernies in Congress to shoot down toxic bills, overcome corporate influence and actually make government work for the people. When the Koch Brothers and Tea Party steamroll what's left of our democracy, Senator Sanders will be the last man standing.

  • @jonajen : " .. Imagine if there were enough Bernies in Congress .. "

Geez, how quickly we forget.. It's called the 60's when the leftist's welfare & warfare policies pretty much destroyed all of the nation's post-war wealth - later leading to the lost decade (70's), de-facto default (the collapse of Brettonwoods), and inflation (Carter's 13% inflation).

Sure, I'm pretty sure Americans are anxious to repeat that..

  • So well said! Sadly...the President isn't listening...but selling out to the Immoral, Grotesque and UNfair Republicans and hostage takers, the Tea Baggers party.

  • @dannyjdc1 The nearest thing I saw to extortion was our “President” threatening the elderly, and disabled, the Vets, and our Servicemen with the with holding of their pay, if the debt ceiling wasn’t raised.

  • Thank you Senator Sanders for being a supporter of the common people. We don't have many of those left. I would appreciate you running for president in 2012. We need to have someone in that office to represent the people, not just businesses

  • I would pay to see him filibuster this so called "deal", if that is even possible.

  • I'm lucky enough that I have the capability to leave America while the leaving's good. YOUNG PEOPLE!!! Leave this place! There is so little here for young people! Take your education, your skills, and your values and go somewhere else. Almost everyone except for Bernie is gunning against youth - escape while you can.

  • If you like Sanders check out Thom Hartmann's videos. They bookend Sanders. Sander's appears regularly on Hartmann's friday radio show, brunch with Bernie.

  • @thenewmiLONNIEum Classy reply, but no, it wasn't about Republicans.

  • Every time this happens, my faith in democracy gets eroded just a little bit more

  • I am not an American, I don't pay US taxes because I don't live in the US. As an European citizen I read about this US politics and think it fair to say there are now many more "non-Americans", people that don't pay US taxes but still they live in the US. You have a crazy country over there, large corporations earning shiploads of money pay less or even none in tax money, it's unbelievable. But it's logical because the working class just don't have the money to buy lobbyists for them.

  • Let the old, poor children freeze to death instead of helping them pay for heat. Of course it would be better to spend money (spend to save) on solar tech that reduces the drag and cost of electricity.

BUT we should also cut all federal expenditures on water resource programs in the southwest. Why should my taxes go to your water. Where in the constitution does it guarantee a right to water? All the anti-gov teabags should have their water spigots cut and they can go and buy their own water.

  • Campaign slogan: No New Teabaggers

  • Thank you, thank you for standing for democratic principles! Many leaders of democratic party lost the very basics, the very ideas defining their very party

  • BRAVO!

  • @metalguitar311 i think you misunderstood. it had nothing to do with making heating more efficient. it had to do with giving aid to those who couldnt afford to heat their homes

  • @DeepChunk35 Be sure to leave me out of your suicide note... But if you do decide to anyway, could you not mention that i'm fat?

  • I'm not aware of everything in the agreement that they came up with, so I don't have an opinion on all of it yet, but, since Mr. Sanders brought this specific subject up: please - anyone really - explain to me why it is the federal government's job to spend public money making home heating more efficient. Feel free to quote the constitution.

  • The middle class and poor have already been sacrificing for years. Time for the banks to clean up the mess they themselves made.

  • What he says of Vermont is also true, believe this or not, in California. This state is becoming 'Alabama west' because Federal money isn't as available as it used to be - and what's being cut are essential services - not just for the poor, but things like PD, FD, EMT funds. More and more of those jobs are being lost.

  • Why did the video end before the clapping and the cheering began?

  • @alterbyme this is nothing to clap, or cheer about. i hate this country.

  • @DeepChunk35 Then go mope off a bridge, why don't you.

  • NO INCUMBENTS

  • It's time sisters & brothers!

  • @PullyElbow27 George Bush did a fine job of that already. What we need to do is get off our asses and demand that they listen to us. The main problem being that the vast majority of the American public is largely apathetic towards anything that comes from DC "Nothing I can do about it" attitude is the Achilles heel of the American Common man/middle class. They have been beat down so much that they feel there is no way out.

  • In 1979, the top 1% got 9% of GDP. Last year the top 1% took 23.5% of our GDP!

Forbes' 400 Americans' combined wealth is now MORE than the combined wealth of 50% of Americans - PolitiFact.

Last year corporations paid an average 6.6% income tax, and many, like G.E., paid NO federal taxes, even though they made $14 billion!

In 2010 American CEO's gave themselves an average 27% raise!

Welcome to our new American "Corporate Plutocracy!"

Yes, GOP/Tea Party, let's please cut taxes on the rich again?

  • @HugeJohn51 Revenues aren't better, don't spend what you don't have. Having worked in retail before,I've seen plenty of impoverished people borrowing money at ridiculous interest rates to buy big TVs, computers, expensive cell phones. How to ruin your finances: buy that which you cannot afford by borrowing against your future.

  • @guyontheend And if we raised revenues, we would have more money to spend. What the hell is not being understood? After Clinton's Presidency, we were on the road to a budget surplus. Then Bush took office, started giving rich tax breaks, start ridiculously spending like the wars, and the budget jumped to $5 trillion. Obama took office, and it jumped even further, DIRECTLY from Bush-era policies, such as tax cuts for the wealthy and the wars.

  • @guyontheend oh great....the economist speaks...'i worked in retail'

    nevermind.

  • @HugeJohn51 You're naive if you think people who don't have to pay taxes because of their income level only spend it on food and shelter.

  • We need more money,.....then why don't we end the numerous wars that the Congress didn't approve,.....and the MAJORITY OF THE PEOPLE DON'T WANT?

Look up online polls on the Internet,....and you will find the majority who took part in them, believe 9-11 was another false flag operation.

Most Americans believe 9-11 was an inside job,....and most other countries believe 9-11 was an inside job,........so bring our troops home.

They are needed here to protect Americans from a corrupt government.

  • @rainbo5250 Online polls also indicate that the 2008 election was a toss-up between Ron Paul and Keyboard Cat.

  • @SAGEBOT500

What your stating is a complete lie.

What I stated is FACT,....and can be looked up. They are the honest opinions of Americans,.......unbiased, and UNCENSORED by corporate owned media.

They all state,...... that the MAJORITY BELIEVE 9-11 WAS AN INSIDE JOB.

  • @rainbo5250 No, what I stated is called a "joke." I was using something called "humor" to point out that online polls, which can be posted by anyone, anywhere on the Internet, and usually have no safeguards to make sure that people don't post leading questions, doctor results, vote multiple times, or manipulate polling populations, are generally a poor place to go to when you're trying to make a point.

  • @SAGEBOT500

Well our media is nothing but paid for propaganda,......and a bag full of lies,........and our voting machines have been tampered with,.......skewing the vote, in an absolute criminal way.

The fact that vote tampering has been caught,....numerous times,....and the publlic isn't even aware of it,....tells you how corrupt the 'OFFICAL SYSTEM OF MEASUREMENT' actually is,.....along with the corporate owned media,....who is suppose to inform the citizens aboust such illegal activity.

  • Talk is cheap Bernie. If you believe this bill is bad (and I agree it is), then why aren't you FILIBUSTERING it instead of letting it pass?

  • You're right bernie, let's just spend more money. Just this once. In fact, why not just print 12 trillion dollars and give it to all the poor people. That would be fair right? Then in a year when 90% of those recipients have lost the money again, we can just repeat the process! Other countries will give us the money, if they ask for it back they're just meanies.

  • Thank you Bernie for standing up for those who can't afford lobbyists. Why would all these politicians go against the will of the people and not DEMAND the rich to pay their fair share? MONEY. Less government means stronger corporations. Less regulation means weakening laws that protect our environment from being destroyed by corporations. If this is how treat the poor and working class, you can imagine how much they care about the environment and animals.

  • If Bernie's vote were the deciding one, do you still think he should vote no? Do you think he actually would? Just curious

  • @reidfleming2k6 are you kidding? we are running out of voices like this, hearts like this, warriors like this - but that doesn't mean they aren't what they appear to be. Saunders is transparent and true: the antithesis of the craven and cynical ( and just plain stupid) majority.

  • Comment removed

  • @rukeyser So you would allow the US to default on its debt? You believe that "Saunders" (sic) would? Do you really think that little of him?

  • An uncorrupted politician in Amerika?

    It barely seems possible.

  • "circle jerk?" Really? You'll burn in hell buddy, Doctor Dreyer. You guys are sad in your meanness.

  • @proVphoto "Circle jerk" is meaner than "you'll burn in hell"? Keep it classy

  • @reidfleming2k6 Seriously! Circle jerks=awesome and fun. Hell=not awesome and non existent. Haha

  • The voice of reason. At least we still have one. The idea that automatic cuts will take place if a compromise isn't reached by Thanksgiving is absurd. The right won't have anything to motivate them to compromise. They want automatic cuts. Bad proposal is right. Unfair is right. Nothing from the big money interests. What bullies.

  • @reanneca I had to sign in to vote you up. You are so right that I wish I ould give you all the internet's worth of thumbs up.

  • nothing more pathetic than a shameless, gaga ruling elite. :)

  • pff, let your state fund that shit instead of the federal government. I agree the program is shite, but not the federal government's job.

  • What is really needed, is the ability to produce things the entire world, needs, wants, and can afford, via new technologies and industries that will employ the nations citizens, at profit to all. Much of the technology already exists having been created by the tax dollars of the people of the United States via "agencies" like NASA and DARPA. Think of "The People" as USCORP. Wiseguy's are busy writing laws to cheat USCORP out of its patent rights. That is all that is holding up World Recovery.

  • Please run for President!

  • What about the Federal Reserve?

That is a private business,....run by PRIVATE FAMILIES,......why don't they PAY ANY TAX?

The Federal Reserve,.......is NOT FEDERAL,.......so why are they exempt from paying taxes on the TRILLIONS OF DOLLARS IN PROFIT, that they make?

    9 TRILLION IS COMPLETELY MISSING!

Why isn't the Federal Reserve subject to an audit?

  • @rainbo5250 Great. Another Federal Reserve idiot. Go back to one of Alex Jones' sites.

  • @harizotoh7 You are an embarrassingly stupid fuck head.

  • Love this guy. Why in the hell doesn't he run? there's a old saying "WHEN YOU NEED SOMETHING DONE RIGHT, YOU DO IT YOURSELF!"

    RUN BERNIE, RUN 2012

  • One of the few senators worth paying attention to. Bernie brings it every time.

  • Look at that, another douche bag who feels that Bernie is off base. Who are these pieces of human waste? From out of what cesspool do they slink? From what rotten womb are these heartless morons spawned?

  • Senator Sanders you are awesome

  • Is That Bernies Assistant That's Always In The Background? Lol

  • I agree with the views below. Please go to Facebook and "like" Bernie Sanders for President". Let's show Bernie we want him to represent all of us.

  • Give em Hell Bernie

  • Thank you, Uncle Bernie. Now please primary Obama. I will gladly vote for you.

  • @kroses I agree. Put that faux-democrat in the White House through a primary and put a spotlight on his weakness and cowardice!

  • @kroses Bernie Sanders is an Independent therefore he does not have to Primary anyone. Also Kucinich runs in every Democratic Primary and always loses. Why because the Dems always field the lesser of two evils in every Presidential race. Also Sanders is an admitted Democratic Socialist the Corporate Media with destroy him in a Presidential Race.
