  • I love this movie's photography

and yes, book is better, but I like to think this is more an adaptation

    music and direction is OK

  • U can't do hannible without jodie foster

  • have u gius notice that hannibal is just like canniable such a conquencidence anyways i lov how the character hanniable is smart ass if i was killer i would be as sneaky and silent like him not like one of those stupid killers who always get caught

  • jodie is best!

  • book so much better!

  • one thing that makes this film good, anthony hopkins elegence! otherwise this is a bad plot poor script and no real chemistry between the actors but anthonys amazing performance saves the movie, the book was much better! oh and gary oldman's cool in it as the vengeful victim/villain!

  • This movie just wasn't the same without Jodie Foster...

  • "i'm giving very serious thought to eating ur wife" whoaa!

  • @JamesBondinification Like seriously! What do you say to something like that? I'd be like, "Wait....... Whaaaat???" Lolz

  • @Qrtzapp

    Yeah......thats right! lolzzz

  • I want to see this movie!!

  • @frenchkiss776 I do now. Thank you very much :)

  • @frenchkiss776 So Hannibal doesn't love Clarice that way? Then why did he cut his own arm instead of hers? Thank you for answering by the way

  • @ShutterIslandx he cut off his own arm because she saved his life and he used her to track down the guy who wanted to kill him and make him suffer. hannibal doesnt like crooked cops. thats why he ate the dudes brains at the end but clarice is not corrupt so he decided she deserves to keep her hand

  • @str8up1100 I see..Thank you so much! I wish you told me earlier I kind of already screwed up my project :(

  • Amazing soundtrack!

  • Terrible movie.

  • Why does Hannibal cares for Charice? Does he have a romantic attraction towards her? Can anyone who understands this movie help me answer? It's for school project. (:

  • @ShutterIslandx Yes, Hannibal loves Clarice. I believe in the book she (at the end) loves him too.

  • OK this movie got so far fetched and out of control it was fucking ridiculous!

  • I loved all of the books in this series. I actually read them way before the movies. I just rewatched Hannibal and love the movie....it isnt as great as the Silence of the Lambs movies but its still really good. Hannibal Lecter is without a doubt the role that defines the quinessential essence of who Anthony Hopkins is as an actor.

  • Loved the movie, BUT enjoyed the book even more. I would have LOVED to have seen them use the book's ending ... where Hannibal and Clarice basically become lovers and man/wife.

  • Favorite movie ever. I loved Jodie Foster, she will always be the original Clarice for me, but Julianne did a wonderful job and I think she lived up to what I expected of her. Great movie, great cast, will love it forever :)

  • The only problem I have with this movie is there is no Jodie Foster. I have nothing against Julianne Moore, but Jodie Foster was the original and it's hard to replace that.

  • Look, let's be honest. Jodie Foster was AMAZING.

  • You naughty girl

  • Lovely scenes in Florens with lovely music.- VIDE COR MEUM

  • pwn 4 pnw 4 evre epic

  • "It eating your wife..."

Hannibal

  • Ok. Hannibal Lecter is so fu$#$@ perfect I wouldn't mind him eating a few people if he were my husband lol

  • worst thing they could have done was to replace Jodie Foster.

it's very hard, very disappointing and very frustrating to watch Hannibal without Jodie Foster.

I can't focus on watching the movie, my mind keeps thinking "where the fuck is Jodie, who the fuck is this new lame actress".

i'm pretty sure this is the main reacon why Silence Of The Lambs was a success and Hannibal was not.

it's very disturbing to watch a sequence with one of the main characters replaced.

  • @lauroga Oh shut up she didn't want to be in it. Get over it.

  • my last name is starling D:

  • @MissGumbyLana08

Then all you need is to change your first name to Clarice :D

    - Regards your old pal Hannibal Lecter M.D.

  • @MissGumbyLana08 well, hellooo, claricccce.

  • they should've cast rosie odonnell as the new clarice

  • Comment removed

  • @lovemycrissangel i totally agree with you. i read first the book when i was 12years old and saw the movie when i was 18, and when i saw what they did to the ending i just thought shit. that is not the ending in the book. i just wunder why they had to change the ending sooooooo bad. we will never know. i only can hope that they will bring one more movie with anthony hopkins as hanniba. no hopkins no hannibal for me.

  • they shouldve made mason more monstrous, in this movie he was j like a normal guy who was wronged and wanted revenge i mean at least make mason more of a bad guy to jhustify his horrible shit he goes through in the movie bring up that he was a pedophile that would make hannibal more justified in what he did to him, not a bad movie though book is better!

  • In "Silence of the Lambs", Jodie Foster plays Clarice as a competent, skillful agent, yet emotional and innocent at time. She does it brilliantly and received a well deserved Oscar. But in real life, people don't stay the same. In "Hannibal", Julianne Moore plays an older, experienced and much tougher Clarice. Clarice's emotions have become angry, rather than innocent (the crying at the car scene in SOTL). I think she carries it off well. Tough to follow an oscar performance.

  • hannibal the canibal.....why does the name sounds so devilish

  • This movie made me unspeakably angry. Has anyone here read the books? If so, please agree with me that they absolutely RUINED the movie. Where was Margot?! Why did they mess the ending up so badly??? THE ENDING WAS COMPLETELY CHANGED! They destroyed Thomas Harris's beautiful ending! I want to cry, I'm so angry! It wasn't horrible, up until the point where they kidnapped Hannibal. Then everything just went to hell. WHY??? And for the record, Jodie Foster IS Clarice Starling.

  • youtube.com/watch?v=Mjlb59q7IzQ SERBIAN SILNCE OF THE LAMBS

  • can someone tell me the order of these movies?

  • Offiical Order of the films and books. Prolouge: "Hannibal Rising", #1 "Red Dragon", #2 "Silence of the Lambs", #3 "Hannibal " I suggust reading the books and the movies because in the case of Hannibal very different ending then whats in the movies. Also its been officially annoucned we will be seeing a Hannibal 6 part Television Show.

  • @RecklessMia The Silence of the Lambs

    Hannibal

    Red dragon

  • 1:14

  • why is jodi foster not in this movie anyway?

  • i don't care who are the actors are. it's a great sequel, and that's what matters..

  • porque reemplazaron a foster? :C ...

  • Whoever Hannibal loves will be safe. It's like saying it's better to want Lucifer's love for He will not harm those He loves & they will have a glamorous life!

  • so this is 2nd part of the silence of the lamb?nice psychiatric movie

  • goodie goodie

  • They are both good as Clarice, I think. =) Anthony Hopkins is my fav, though. He is so awesome!

  • I'm disappointed by the ending :'( there were no such crap in book

  • Jodie foster is better as clarice, but i don't think she could have played the clarice we see in hannibal quite as well as julianne moore.

  • Wait, wait. guys why do you argue about who is better Julianne or Jodie? Clarice Starling of the movie Hannibal is not the same as The Silence of the Lambs.

She has changed, she is on a different phase of her life. I believe both actresses where stunning.

  • @PrawnzHD Forgive me for my grammatical mistake. Were.

  • great trailer!! anthony hopkins elegant as ever!!

  • Julianne moore was very pretty in this film

  • @Algonquin81 so was gary oldman.

  • @GuerillaInThaMidst

Julianne Moore is has something that Jodie didn`t had in the other movie:she is sensual. If you think she`s ugly it has nothing to do with the fact that she`s brilliant, sexy, tough in this role...

  • One of my top 5 movies!Anthony and Julianne are both very captivating.

  • I love this movie! It's really great, and the part of Hannibal and Clarice's kiss is my favourite (Sorry my english, I'm brazilian)

  • eww "eating my wife" O,O WTF dude u seriously have the weirdest eating disorder ever

  • Why are people comparing Jigsaw and Hannibal....jigsaw is just a retard in a mask who rides a tricycle :')

  • @TaeminSarangX That's billy the puppet. Actually know who your bashing before attempting to bash them.

  • Julianne Moore was great, people are just narrow minded. Of course the audience is inclined to prefer the original.

  • Julianne Moore as better as Clarice!

  • @atila9323 The fuck are you talking about? Jodie Foster IS Clarice. Just like Sir Anthony Hopkins IS Hannibal.

  • @uJellie

No one said that she is not the first(real)Clarice...If some people like the new Clarice most you`ll have to live with that :-)

  • @MoChuisle30 I could cut their head open and feed them their own brain. Just a thought.

  • @uJellie

    Hannibal ate rude people`s brain,like yours :-)

  • @uJellie Its Julianne Moore, not Jodie Foster. Get your facts right.

  • @UnderJonathan No. Fucking. Shit. Perhaps you should reread my comment. Jodie Foster IS Clarice. Just like Sir Anthony Hopkins IS Hannibal. You cannot replace them. I was very upset.

  • @uJellie she does ok though

  • Steven Harris' books are so beautufully written. They were / are beyond critical point of view.

  • this was a truly chilling movie, definately one of the few movie's that really sent chill's down my spine, one very frightening finale and unforgettable!

  • i like his evilness...when he do that is face....like that movie

  • For me, the best scene, the greatest Hannibal Lecter moment in the entire movie, was when the inspector is watching him during the opera and Lecter turns around and looks directly at him. Just chilling. Lecter knows. Lecter always knows.

  • This movie was alright, the book was way better as usual. Either way, the meal scene at the end with them eating "dinner" is soo hideous and worth watching the whole movie for. The book has a completely different ending. Must have been too creepy for the movie I guess. Hopkins is priceless!

  • Why? Just why? Just leave it alone.

  • Huh, 10 years and Clarice looks really different.

  • every movie in this saga is good. u should definitly watched this one if u liked silence of the lambs

  • every movie in this saga is good.

  • Where is Jodie Foster?

  • I really love the original... and I don't know if I want to watch this because I don't want it to ruin the original. Is it worth watching?!?!?!

  • @BananaFlaka SOOO worth it. Foster played Clarice beautifully, but so does the new Clarice. I think of them as the same people just one younger, one older. Worth it, its worth it.

  • I'm currently reading Red Dragon, and I've watched the movie and Silence of the Lambs. Gotta watch all the movies and read all the books =P

  • @HadesLordofDeath the books are quite badly written actually. One of the few occasions when the film is better that the written original.

  • and the book ending far farmore better than this

  • The end of this movie made me actually want to punch Anthony Hopkins.

That's right. The sexiest man alive, Anthony Hopkins, for letting him keep this ending without a fight -.-

The ending sucked ass in comparism to the book.

  • ...Hannibal sure has a way with words

  • Fuck...I'm called Clarice.....

  • @Klaryrock95 then u hav a cool name :)

  • @Klaryrock95 You're next...

  • Came to this just to hear 0:37

  • Comment removed

  • how come they used julianne moore as clarice starling instead of jodie foster

  • @colpetne Jodie Foster hated how the character of Clarice Starling let her entire life slip away. If they would have used the books ending for this movie, I'm sure Jodie Foster would have done it -.-

  • @xPinkxIsxPunkx

She hated that ending.. The original script had it intact, they changed it after she had already declined.

  • I remember seeing this in the theaters 10 years ago and being hungry, lol. But, I did not feel like eating afterwards!

  • I thought this was an excellent sequel.

  • which one is better this one, red dragon or hannibal rising?

  • @elamigoporky98 red dragon

  • @elamigoporky98 hannibal rising sucks because its not Anthony Hopkins.. and he is the only one who can play this psychotic carrecter. il recomand watching silence of the lambs, then hannibal. those are my two favorites

  • @MaxEmoDreams yes a have al ready watch silence of the lambs and it was awesome, hannibal rising was not good. but i supose now i need to watch red dragonn or not?

  • @elamigoporky98 yes u should it's a good one 2 . But this one still the best :)

  • @NattNutella I have that quote tattooed under my Hannibal tattoo. =)

  • is this film too scary to watch alone?

  • @hellolauratube No, it's hardly scary at all. It's a thriller, not a horror film.

  • co-fffff-eee

  • OMG! Hes such a good actor because he scares me soooo much lol i watched 5mins off this film and i didnt sleep all night lol he acts soo Wierd and freaks me OUT!!!

  • Anthony Hopkins is a fucking god.

  • I fucking hate Starling in this second film about Dr Hannibal

  • @KimCuongBatHoai well when you think about it. Jode foster didn't want to join this movie sence it wasn't the first directer. scott made this one. gorier then the first one but doesn't beat it. and if you look up Julianne Moore then you will learn to love her acting. ofcourse i was alitle sad over the fact that jodie wasn't joining this one. but if there is a second choice for that carecter. they picked the right one.

  • @AloneBurn thanks for reply. I was a bit rude. But Starling in this movie loose "something important" of her character, especially when she try to save Hannibal from being eaten alive. And all the confidence, a little bit of excessively proud ... that is not Starling I loved. Moreover, Doctor Hannibal, in this movie, he loose all the mystery and intelligence, he "becomes" over gorier and too cruel. Anyway, Julian did a fairly job. (sorry for my horrible English)

  • you ruined this movie ms. moore

  • "If so...Goody-goody!" lol Anthony Hopkins is probably the best actor in Hollywood.

  • i think this movie-tends hannibal to fall on love with agent clarice...

  • 1 persoin got his wife eatin by hannible

  • They cud not have picked a better actor for hannibal

  • Sequel of scilence of the lambs

  • i wonder how they taste

  • This movie is so awesome however i didn't like it at the end where he cut off his own hand in stead of clarices's. When he chopped and you could see clarice scream i was like hell yeah, and then you see her walking with both hands and i was like wtf??

  • I've seen Silence of the Lambs and I loved it. Now, that movie isn't too violent and I'm thinking about watching this film, so is movie anymore violent than Silence or about the same?

I'm pretty good when it comes to it but I like to be warned. :)

  • @tle123rox You have probably seen it by now, but no. This is not a lot more violent. The last seen is a bit grotesque but thats what makes this movie in my opinion. An amazing film!

  • @Crashirocks hahaha, I'm about an hour in and you're right. Is the last scene the "brain scene"? Like I said, I'm good with violence but I like to be warned before I see something. :P

  • @tle123rox yes, thats the brain scene.

  • This looks epic, but is it any good though????

  • @TenaciousDrules15 trailer looks very good, but movie actually sucks. read the book instead. it's million times better.

  • @dr1345 actually I think that the movie is pretty good. but in one point I agree with cz the movie ending sucks he ended up with cutting of his hand but in the book they had a much better & all most happy ending. However this movie still one of the best movies ever made :)

  • @Nayomi007 i didn't care for Hannibal, ridley scott is not a good director, IMHO. red dragon on the other hand was pretty good.

  • @dr1345 as always

  • la peli me traumó, la ví cuando tenía 10 años creo... :S pero luego, como que me gustó, sobre todo la que sale jodie foster

  • 1 person's wife was eaten by Hannibal Lecter

  • A brilliant but very much underrated masterpiece, imo. It's not quite as good as the book but i still think Ridley Scott did a truly superb job adapting it to the screen. I saw it 6 times when it was released in theaters and it's still a favorite of mine today. Julianne Moore did a great job as Clarice Starling but i think the film would have better benefited from Jody Foster's presence myself. A classy, intelligent, haunting, atmospheric, shocking and truly absorbing film in every way. I love it!

  • @TheAltair4 I also loved it but i hated jody foster in silence. her accent is to choke on.

  • @FashionBboy101 I thought her accent was pretty spot on myself but to each their own, i suppose. I also found her more attractive than Julianne.

  • @TheAltair4 your nickname comes from assassins creed? :p

  • @FashionBboy101 Dammit! That's the third time now that i've been asked that and the answer is most definitely NO! lol. Don't get me wrong, as i really have nothing against AC or it's fans, but my username is a direct reference to the classic sci-fi masterpiece Forbidden Planet.

  • @TheAltair4

Awesome sequel, very gory. Who's more clever? Jigsaw or Hannibal?

  • @Johnlindsey289 Well, let me just state for the record that if Hannibal and Jigsaw were to ever engage in an actual battle of wits, i think that Hannibal would most likely be the victor.

  • @TheAltair4 I am a huge fan of both Hannibal Lecter and John Kramer, so looking at both of them, I would have to agree. Though it WOULD be interesting to watch.

  • @Johnlindsey289 Yeah... I'd say Hannibal.

  • @Johnlindsey289 hannible definatly. people wont dare go near hannible he is that clever and could do anything. jigsaw is just good at making you think

  • @TheAltair4 Hahaha, alright then.

  • @FashionBboy101 lol. No harm, no foul.

  • If so goody-goody.

  • @newsakafias Um... what?!

  • Better Clarice: Julianne or Jodie??? I vote for Jodie.

  • I love the last scene! He sounds so... peaceful xD

  • they need the original girl from silence of the lambs this girl is lesbo...... they need to make tht one after red dragen when the silence of the girls is in

  • @cbouford Jodie Foster is the original Clarice. Rumor has it she didn't want to do this film because in the book Hannibal and Clarice become lovers. And Jodie didn't think Clarice would do that. But in the film they changed the ending anyways, so she still could've done it.

  • @RayneM2011 hopefully they make another cannibal movie with jodie foster

  • @cbouford I'd like to see them do a series of Clarice. But they probably won't.

  • Good film but this trailer is awful. Makes the movie look like a B class horror-comedy.

  • This is the only movie I really like Julianne Moore. In think Thomas Harris should do more books on her character.

  • @NattNutella Is that on a related topic? ;)

Oh, you're confused. Well please don't be confused, or I may have to fillet Senora Pazzi after all.

  • I wouldn't wanna piss Hannibal off

  • They need the Clarice from Silence of the Lambs back.

  • Did Lecter ever say "Hello, Clarice" in the same menacing voice he uses in this movie, or this it just a misquotation? I watched the movie and lot of people I know say "Hello, Clarice," but I don't remember him ever saying it. He says other greetings, but...

  • @Leishmaniasisably yes he uses the line in this film when he has the Italian police officer duct taped and answers his phone.
