Drop the shy modesty. You have excellent intonation and execution and what it takes to make it more than a hobby. Keep going, you'll be a professional in no time. Absolutely nothing to be embarassed about. Unless someone really knows this piece or has the sheet music in their hands, they'd have no clue you made a mistake at all! Lovely Job!!

good job, but make sure you open up your mouth a little more for those high notes, people say to pinch to get high notes, but you actually don't because then you get a bad pinchy sound.

I think for it only being a hobby you did really well. In my humble opinion I think there was a little bit too much mushrooming in the beginning. That is when you continue to go from loud to soft too on almost every note. Also the long breaks are very distracting, and the tempo is a unsteady. The faster part however sounds very nice. Nothing to be ashamed. Again tempo is in question, i think you went overboard with the leway given to soloist.A few minor things but still a very good performance.

very good playing.. just a little suggestions, i think it would sound more whole if you had played high G for longer in 2:36 and also in 0:20 go easy on those descending notes, it would sound nicer if you had tongued them more gently? but other than those it was really really good.. beautiful intonation.. what headjoint you got there?

Hi, I think you can pull this piece of but still needs some bit of work. Some parts tend to lag down and at times you sound disconnected from your accompanist. There are quite some sections in the second half of this piece where you need to take two to four bars and practice them for hours. Not an easy piece, but keep up the good work.

Um.... First off there's no need to be rude. Second off, Andalouse is one of the audition pieces for the Jr. High Honors band. I'm talking about the high school honors band. Third off, in sjboda's HIGH SCHOOL honor band Fantaisie is the audition piece. I'm holding the audition requirement papers off of SJBODA's website as we speak. I hope this clears things up for you. Maybe your an 8th grader going into 9th so that would explain the wrong songs. Anyway, nxt time just dnt be so rude to people.

Eden, there are so many mistakes from your pianist that I'm surprised you could concentrate on playing the flute at all! I don't play the flute myself (though I accompanied this wonderful little Faure piece in a student exam a couple of months ago) but your playing sounds good to me. good job considering you just play the flute as a hobby. if you took it more seriously I'm sure that you could get somewhere with it. it did slow down and i think your sound could've been fuller. and the acoustics of the room was horrible. the pianists needs to step up on her game as well.. k..well, i think that you should pursue music and/or become a flute teacher on the side.

hey don't cut yourself down as this is a very hard piece to play! Its very expressive and its one of my favorite pieces to flute on flute! I would just say to watch your phrasing, you cut the ends of the notes off suddenly, just let them taper off, thats the best way to do it. But other than that, very nice! What kind of flute do you have?
