  • Is it just me or does it sound slightly sped up/higher pitched?

  • You suck! 3:10 Lmfo

  • Great movie. I never get sick of it... and the perfect blend of actors for this movie. It's so damn good and directed so well. I miss Patrick Swayze.

  • anyone seen s.darko?!?!!?!?

  • @summerzombbie yea its pretty boring imo its ok tho ...i dont think they should have made it

  • @summerzombbie yeah plz dont watch it if you havent yet

  • was this sped up?

  • i would pay so much to have been an extra in this scene

  • @patrickplsxo of all the minutes of film i've seen, these few are definitely the best i've seen.

  • @Kevlarvest1893 I think it's the best movie ever made. This movie touched me! And I will never forget it.

  • @JMeyerProductions A priest touched me once.

  • @piss666off If so, go and search help! Or Get a life!

  • @JMeyerProductions That was really not cool.

  • 0:50 Getting coked out @ 8 in the morning? You can't be serious.....

  • @Dresden1065 I guess they must be Charlie Sheen...

  • Time flies... The whole scene is just perfect.

  • is the song higher pitched in the movie too? O_O

  • @aavindraa No. I'm playing the this scene from the Donnie Darko DVD right now--Head Over Heels is at its normal pitch. I wonder why the hell it's pitched a half-step higher here as uploaded by menaceboy??

  • @FlingsPooAtTheZoo: Maybe it's from the damned Directors Cut!! WORST DC ever. The end sequence is overlayed by a GRID and FIREWORKS, among dozens of other poor changes, like splicing in the poorly written excerpts from Roberta Sparrow's book.

  • @aavindraa Well I checked the Director's Cut--the song is pitched properly on it too. Yeah, I'm not a fan of the grid/eyeball/fireworks etc. in the DC. I *can* accept the pages from Roberta Sparrow's book, since Richard Kelly had written them while the (superior) theatrical version was still in production. I *do* like that the Watership Down & Book Exchange scenes were included in the DC. I especially like Ms. Pomeroy's little joke to Donnie "maybe you and Frank can read this one together," lol.

  • @FlingsPooAtTheZoo: Yeah there were a few things I liked about the DC, but definitely a lot of things I was going "Huh??" about. Someone needs to edit both versions and make a fan's version with the best of both worlds. :P

  • @aavindraa lol, I agree. I'd take the theatrical cut, add the Poetry Day scene, the Book Exchange scene, the Watership Down scene, the extended version of the Cellar Door (classroom) scene, the extended scene in which Dr. Thurman reveals to Donnie that his "medication" was a placebo all along(!), and...that's about it. Oh, and I *love* the commentary track on the DC with Kevin Smith, haha. He's as stumped as MOST of us as to how Richard Kelly came up will all of this totally mind-blowing stuff.

  • This whole scene is so well crafted, I love it.

  • I have top say, I'm PICKY with my 80's music, But I like this song, and I love this movie. So though provoking, I could see it a hundred times, and still not understand everything is has to offer. Yet it is someone puzzling, but not confounding in a bad way. You want to solve these mysteries, understand the ideas going on in the film.

    Nice clip.

  • never seen donnie darko...............but this is my fav tears for fears song......when i here it i am back in 1985...where i belong

  • this song wins the award for having an absolutely amazing intro, and then nose diving into the biggest pile of shite. dissapoints me everytime.

  • O gawd this song is stuck in my head

  • I think this may be my favorite movie ever.

and this scene is the best cinematography I've aver seen.

    Donnie is so hot<3

  • love this montage of the school. love the song as well.

  • god i seriously love that movie<3

  • 0:53 the sticker lol WWSD

  • @taylorwhite123 lol that part of the movie makes me laugh, how they are snorting shit right in the hallway just as the principle walks by but he doesnt notice it...

  • the directors cut is terrible

  • I really liked how this part of the film was done

  • I think the directors cut version of this film is much better than the regular cut.

  • totally agree , the only way 2 c it .

  • Definately.

  • this is a little on the fast side... the actual version is a bit more mellow... Great song!

  • Yes, the song is sped up for some reason. I wonder why...

  • Camerawork from this scene is just outstanding.

  • I've read "The Destructors" and I don't think that the boys in the story were destroying the house just to see what happens, to see what happens when their world around them is being destroyed, because their world was already destroyed by the first Blitz of world war II. Though it is eveident that it was to create something new out of destruction, it was the creation of equal social order. After that house fell, there was nothing beautiful left and the old way of society was gone.

  • The "Tears for Fears" part is outstanding.

  • RIP Patrick Swayze

  • 2:06 FAIL.

i love this scene, second best in the film in my opinion, the theatre one is the best (Y) :):):)

  • i heard this song in a grocery store one day, and suddenly felt for a moment i was in this movie...only for a moment.....

  • I lold

  • that ain't even a word, silly.

  • Wow, I love this song, and I love this movie even more! So well done!

  • Wonderful, wonderful film and Drew Barrymore has a very sexy lisp.

  • Ahhhhh look at all the Manipulated Living (and the Manipulated Dead, but I won't say who...)

  • stu stone is HOT

  • um...what is gram green trying to communicate with this passage.

  • Saw this movie for the first time a few nights ago, this is such a kickass sequence. One take..brillant

  • Doh, Im wrong. Tears for Fears part was not one take..

I guess at 2am watching it, it felt like one? heheh

  • Why Patrick Sweasay is a Pedo in this film ill never know....

  • Who would you have prefered to play a pedo? they got someone like Patrik Sweasay to play the part coz its very unexpected when you find out. If they got Micheal Jackson to play the part it would kinda eliminate the element of surprise lol

  • It's Swayze.

Maybe Kelly from "Bad News Bears" wasn't available.

  • Fucking nice scene in this movie! Also Jena Malone (Gretchen) is freaking hot!

  • love this.best scene in movie
