  • So are you going to be in seoul for awhile before moving in with your family? Because I looked at a website and they said that you will be staying with your host family for 2 months just learning before moving in with the family. Will you still be in seoul or out of the city?

  • @BlackRoseDragon14 Well, I'm already back from Korea (: For NSLI-Y (the program I was with) we stayed at a hostel for like 2 days to get over jetlag, and then we immediately moved in with our host families. I was in Seoul, our classes were in Seoul, but I think 2 or 3 of the kids lived just outside of seoul.

  • @elainethecooltrain Ok, thanks. Also do you have to do videos like this every time if you get selected or is it optional?

  • @BlackRoseDragon14 making videos was my own personal choice! (:

  • Omg I would love to go to korea right now!!! How do you apply for this thing??

  • @sexual143 google NSLI-Y! it's a great program, but if you're too old for it, check out CLS, which I hear is NSLI-Y for college students. The applications will come out late summer-early fall! (:

  • I AM SO JEALOUS! >< i applied to nsliy and got rejectddddd :'(

im gonna apply next year agin.....hope i get in

  • @edwardlover111 yeah don't give up! There's a better chance you'll get in next year!! :D Good luck!

  • @elainethecooltrain thanks <3

  • lol enjoy Korea ^_^ in 용 산 구

  • @incatata haha thanks! (:

  • how do these Host Families and exchange students work anyways? do you get to go because you're good in school or something? :)

  • @Ayumura96 Well, okay, I applied for NSLI-Y, which is a scholarship funded by the government. I'm not going to lie and say that doing well in school had nothing to do with me being accepted, but I think that they are just looking for mature people that will be able to handle 6-7 weeks in a different country. And having good grades usually shows that a person is mature. (:

  • @elainethecooltrain this is really helpful thanks!

  • @Ayumura96 haha no problem!

  • Ah~ xD I'm so jealous :3 Have fun! :D

  • OMG I live in 용산구

and Im going there in 3 weeks haha

    what a coincidence!

  • @sungwancho2012 That's pretty awesome! :D Maybe I'll see you there haha. That'd be cray cray. My address thing says, "Wonhyo 4-ga, Youngsan" but I'm not sure what to make of the "4-ga". Are there multiple Wonhyo's?

  • I'm so excited for you! :D

...Is it weird that I'm living vicariously through people on youtube until I get to study abroad myself...Nah!

I hope you can make videos while your in korea!!!! XD

  • @LanaeC16 lolol xD I was like that last year; don't worry! And thanks! I sure hope so too haha.

  • your family seems pretty awesome!! i wish my host mom was a chef.

  • @Caroliya13 haha, yours is a teacher right? Usually teachers are really nice (:
