I make my sauce almost exact except I add 1 tsp of balsamic vinegar at the end and let simmer about 5 mins. Saw some chef on tv say it's a great addition to tomatoe base sauces so thought I would try it once. Now I never make any red sauce w/o it.
looks nice, but i believe the sauce at Slice Blog is better. google slice blog. -- excellent source for making resturant pizza at home -- then search blog for The Pizza Lab: Bringing New York Style Pizza Sauce Home
@ssady Could you add the measurements in metric also? I'm using an online calculator to convert but I'm sure it would also be useful for all the other non-American viewers.
I think your video is great! I just bought a stone and peel so i came here to try someone else's recipe. When I went to the recipe page I could hear music but the page said This program cannot display the webpage- any ideas?

I made the sauce and YUM! I can eat it without the pizza!
Quick question: should I wait for the sauce to cool off before applying it?
girl112791 7 months ago
@girl112791 Glad you liked it! It's best to cool the sauce somewhat before putting it on raw dough, especially if you are using a peel.

@ssady Susan what kind of tomatoes did you use? Crushed or the whole Peeled type.?

very nice, but I heard that olive oil should not boil, or else it has bad effects on health.
danielghofrani 1 year ago
@danielghofrani I don't think that the olive oil is boiling, but rather the garlic is sizzling in the oil.
