No one in my family understands me in this, but "Charlotte's Web" is the only movie/book that makes me bawl consistently, even by just thinking about it. Forget "Where the Red Fern Grows". I think it's because Charlotte devoted her life to providing a quality of life she could never experience to someone, and was so selfless about it when she finally mentioned that she wouldn't live much longer she THANKED Wilbur for giving her meaning in life. What more can you ask for, really?

Chokes me up so many years after the first time I saw it...I know I sound old for 31, but they simply don't make great films like this anymore. Integrity, honesty, and friendship that doesn't come with fireworks or monetary reward seems such a foreign concept to today's kids.

She isn't alone. She has Wilbur and all of the other animals at the farm. I think that she died very happy. She lived a good life, and saved someone else's. I think this is a beautiful movie.
