  • Where did you get the tripod?

  • @82MB240D I think I bought it from a hardware store or radio shack. It has been around about 25 years, mounted on a couple of houses, used to support a 20ft mast center support for 80m inverted vee, shipped to and from South Africa, thrown off the top of a 2-1/2 story house by a roofing contractor, repaired, repainted and now a portable test fixture.

  • @PraCurioso Trata-se de rádio amador, meu amigo!

  • Just got back from Afghanistan for a short break and had a letter waiting for me from some anonymous person regarding the proper use of 73. Wish I had a name or license so I know who I'm replying to. Thanks for taking the time to educate me. 73, KE5QLX

  • KE5QLX -- thanks! Oh if you want to hear a whole bunch of "73's" listen to

my "Ham Radio Round Table" video ;-)

  • Good Job! My congrats. Best regards, Artur SQ5BUO

  • FB on your rotatable dipole. I might try one!

A gud test for the dipole would be the 2010 ARRL DX Contest this coming weekend 3-6/7-2010.

  • I just put a dipole up using Painters Poles, but did not think of using a "T" like you did at the top. Looks more stable and I think I will add it to my antenna.

  • gotta LOVE QRP. Congrats on the homebrew dipole. I made a wire version for a buck, but I like your self supporting idea! Enjoy and 73 de KA1YBS
