  • what was the name of the streets at the inner section? I want to go see the siren.

  • @Cars2fan The video was taken looking SouthWest at the Chipotle Restaurant, 22720 Three Notch Road Lexington Park, MD 20653, which is at the corner of Route 237 (Maple Road) and Route 235 (Three Notch Road).

  • are u sure their just testing?

  • @ilovegmaildou There were tornado warnings in the area that evening. When driving south after this video, I could see the tornadic motion in the clouds above me through the sunroof of the car. There were reports of touchdowns to the west later. It was an interesting evening.

  • @SpyroTheDragon71 Yes. There were several touching down to the west. I did not hear of any damage, but am not familiar with all the neighborhoods in the area.

  • HOLY SHIT........THERES A SHEETZ IN MARYLAND?

  • lol you should have filmed this at ezperansa middle

  • @Spirit0fSteel Sure, but they don't serve dinner.

  • @StarshipSanders very true

  • Just a little bit louder please, I couldn't hear that.

  • i used to live off of three notch rd. Is there still construction on 235 south of there? i moved from there in summer of 2004.

  • @BeastGT87 Not than I am aware of. I think most of the construction on the highway is complete.

  • Oh God, save the Sheets!!!

  • maryland had some scary ass sirens when i lived there, especially when they went off at night...

  • Why would MD have a tornaod siren? Unless, it is like a multipurpose siren, also used for things like floods and air raids.

  • @SuperBeachgoer MD has alot of VFDs as well so they use them for fire calls

  • @SuperBeachgoer we got a lot of storms in summertime with possible tornadoes, i was there when the la plata tornado hit

  • @BeastGT87 La Plata was nasty. There was a lot of damage.

  • im not from maryland but im guessing its on that tower

  • @cauberallies I think the differences the 3T22 will do the high-lo and the 2T22 can't. The 3T22 can do more i think. I THINK that's the difference.

  • @PNSB101 Ur absolutely right!

  • damn thats a loud

  • I was outside with my friends being retarted whenthe tornado happened

  • i take it when these things go off nobody gives a shit? dosen't look like it?

i'm from England so don't really know much about tornadoes. do you not have to get in a shelter or something?

  • @bibbyandal dude are u fucking kidding me? fkin brit nobody gives a shit dude this is the thrill of American tornadic super cell thunderstorms that just makes u just wamma stand outside with rur camera in hand and nothing but a t shirt and shorts and film that beautiful awesome sexy storm system only the true gutted people are fearless of this bro

  • @cauberallies I know. I just want to know what's the difference between a 3T22 and a 2T22. What;s the difference? They both seem the same to me.

  • @cauberallies I know. I just want to know what's the difference between a 3T22 and a 2T22. What;s the difference?

  • I love that 3T22 wow gorgeous tone! A lot better than Feds or Whelens!

  • @megs905 xt22's are feds!

  • ya,when i was in maryland i coundnt find one

  • Why is it that the sirens never go off when there's actually a tornado? I remember being in Myrtle Beach for a tornado in 2000 we didn't hear any sirens or anything it just really dark outside and we saw people running off the beach next thing we know the tornado is right outside our building the sirens didn't go off until thirty minutes later. idk if it was because we lost power because the hotel lights never went out.

  • I think that Is a 3T22. I thought It was a 2T22. Sound's like a 2T22.

  • Really?? cuz i live in maryland......you mean the little village or small town?

  • i usedto here it all the time

  • those go off all the time. doesnt mean its a tornado warning its a thunderstorm warning or possible lightning touching the ground, sorry to tell ya.

  • Most likely this siren is at the Bay District Fire Department... I have a feeling it is one of the many sirens for the Calvert Cliffs Nuclear Power Plant but I can't confirm that.

  • It's got to be a 2T22. I live In Maryland but not this part of Maryland.

  • i live there the tornado siren is beside my home 3t22

  • Looks like no one cared. Lol!

  • Sounds like a band couldnt start there music :|

  • Beautiful sounding 3T22!!!

  • why did you obay the traffic lights??? if theres a tornado spoted drive for your life!

  • hmm that siren youre hearing is a 3T22.nice siren!

    and loud!

just wanted to let you know!:3

  • That's gotta be creepy as hell

  • i hate that noise so bad man. especially wen ur outside and its real loud

  • well your ass is fried if you're in this video lol

  • i Hear a 3T22/2T22...damn its scary soundin!

  • nice 3t22 does ocean city still have there 3t22's

  • Sounds a bit like a cyclone...

  • I KNOW WHERE THIS IS O_O I USED TO LIVE SOMEWHERE HERE O_O

  • oH mY gAwD! if i heard that noise, i'd be rlly scrared even crying!!! =P

  • @Tabby226 Yeah. To me It sound's like a 2T22. But I think the 3T22 sound's ALITTLE the same. Dont you think?

  • @PNSB101

There is absolutely no difference in sound whatsoever between a 2T22 and a 3T22 in alert or attack. Unless one of the dampers are stuck shut, or it's sounding in hi-lo, there is no way to tell which one it is without seeing it.

  • they have tornado sirens there? or were they using sirens that arent intentional for tornado weather, but are used for local emergencies

  • Definably a 2T22. Nice to see their using ATTACK. DANG THAT SOUNDS SCARY!!!

  • it seems that when they are going off for an actual situation and not a test, xT22's sound even cooler. :P

  • good thing i was in northern maryland.

  • Is It a Federal Signel 2T22 or a 3T22? I think a 2T22. I live In Maryland but I never been down there.

  • in bryans road MD thats the siren for fire so we dont know the difference LMAO

  • it nust have been scarey send me a photo of what the destroyed houses looked like (=

  • i live in maryland and thats the sheetz near chipotle place i think

  • where in maryland is this

  • @iwnproductions

This is Lexington Park, MD and the Chipolte restaurant is behind me.

  • @StarshipSanders I love Chipolte! I always get a burrito bowl!

  • did you see the tornadoes?

  • @MrPankacke

I noticed tornadic activity in the clouds as I drove south on the 235, but I did not see anything on the ground. When I got back to the hotel room, the news made it clear that there were 7 areas along the road where I was at where a tornado could have touched down. I basically learned that I should not have been driving around.

  • @StarshipSanders

wauw thank god that a tornado didn't touched down near you

  • @StarshipSanders I live in northern Virginia and when we had a tornado at the end of the school day we didn't have any sirens going off, I don't think VA has any.

  • that sounds like a nuke siren

  • nice 3t22

  • That civil defense Federal alarm is part of Bay District Volunteer Fire, Station 9. It's actually just beside that transmission tower you have the camera pointed at.

  • That would wake me up!!!

  • @laura20022004 It should.

  • Nice there is a sheetz. good food there hahaha. Love the sound of this siren

  • i HATED that siren.

  • they need a siren like that in California. shit never happens here =/

  • @PeeAyAreTeeWhy you got that right...nothing exciting ever happens in california..

  • i Love the Dual Toned Sirens too.....they sound Good and Scary.....it seems like now Sentry is the only Siren Company that Still makes Dual Toned Mechanical Sirens....

Bring Back the Thunderbolts...The Allertors,Hurricanes,3T22's and all the other Nice Sounding Oldies...As Far As Warning Goes none of the Electronic Sirens Really Cut it..

  • I remember that day I was in the center of all the hype when i walked out onto my front porch and saw a massive black wall of clouds over the tree line, just across MD Route 5!!!!! Scared the shit out of me!!!!

  • heck yeah, I used to fill up and get coffee at that Wawa when I visited my sis at St. Mary's... but luckily I never heard these sirens!

  • see the power lines to the far left on a big mast/pole thingy, it could possibly be on that, or it could be one of the wee black things on the wire

  • A+ sirens. Thats not too far away from where there was a very damaging Tornado in La Plata, MD, years prior.

  • Man, the classic old air raid type of siren.

  • where is the siren

  • @97Siren

Good Question. I just pointed the camera in the direction of the siren. Locals to that area have commented on here and perhaps can provide an answer.

  • If that is chancellors run road then there is a Fire Dept a couple hundred yards from that traffic light and i think there is a siren there. This is St Mary's County, in reference to that 2t22, In calvert county (just north of the clip) the county gave 2t22s to the first 4 fire depts and i think they gave a 3t22 the the 5th fire dept but the 6th one was donated a sth-10

  • It's like ridge or district vfd right.

  • It's Like all over the place.

  • @97Siren its at the fire dept. on three notch rd. near 235

  • i here a 3t22

  • or a 3t22

  • nice vid 5 stars!!!

  • Hahaha, i was over in walmart that day. They came over and told us to get the shit outta dodge! Lexington Park aint all its cracked up to be anymore.

  • That sound means you're in deep shit lol

  • Kiss your asses goodbye, bitches... lol.

  • lol

  • wheres the siren coming from? btw

  • no they dont buzz u idiot. tornadoes only happen in the "alley". its where hot and cold air mix and its around the middles. (Kansas, Oklahoma, part of Idaho, etc.) BTW thats some scary alarm. imagine waking up to that in ur ear!! probably wont wake me up lol

  • 2T22!

  • what a scary fucking sound! tennessee, we hear that all too often ! :-/

  • I was totally freaked out that day!

  • must be shit scary man

  • I think the fire station where I live uses one of the same sirens as this... but I think the time between each wind-up is longer.

  • Judging by the harmonica-like sound, I'd say it's a 3T22 (They're more common than the 2T22 because they can do hi lo)

  • 3T22s and 2T22s both sound the same, maybe the motor is making it sound differetn, like a single phase one.

  • Yeah, like cheetawolf said, there is no difference in sound between a 2T22 and a 3T22. And I wouldn't necessarily say that the 3T22 is more common than the 2T22. From what I've personally seen, the 2T22 is much more common. Hi-lo capability is not seen as an important feature to most communities or fire departments. Yeah, there are plenty that do use it, but the vast majority don't. It may be called the "fire" signal, but that doesn't mean everyone is going need it or use it for that purpose.

  • i was sick that day and was freaking out.

  • 2t22

  • i don't get it if there is a siren*tornado* why is it so nice out lol

  • Because, their facing either the Area where the storm Isnt or has already been.

  • OMG tornado warning in Lexington park right now!

  • i heard arundel mills was hit by a tornado and i think there was minimum damage.

  • what county

  • tornado warnings use to realy freak me out.. but now they dont.....

  • i use to live in randalstown in maryland and had 3 tornado warnings but i only saw a funnel only one time and some neighbors were freaking out at that time there was a lot of wind and rain but no siren why is that ??????

  • lol i've been to the sheetz in the background xD

  • ugh those are the creepiest sounding sirens ever

  • lol as soon as every hears the siren every one stops and then take off at high speed and turn back xD

  • i live in southern maryland 20 miles away from lexington park. i remember this. there was also a tornado coming straight for my house across the wycomico river at 40 mph. my cousin busted thru our doors all freaked out because he saw the weather underground map which displayed the tornado symbol coming right for us...so we evacuated and ran to the cars and got out safley...luckily the twister turned north towards dentsville. so that was our night lol

  • sounds like silent hill

  • With N. Korea raising tensions let's hope we never have to hear this for nukes...

  • Our house was near that. Right on mah parents anavercity. It was weird we had to hid in our bathtub with 5 dogs and me, my sister, and mom and dad

  • Damn socialist Government with taking tax payer money to warn us with damn socialist sirens.

  • You're an idiot.

  • You may have missed the sarcasm.
