  • @dimuska That's a pity, but it's okay, my sincere greetings. :)

  • Fantastic song, great video! Does somebody have chords to this? :)

  • hyvastit karjala!

  • Minä suvaičen karjalua :D Terveh Ranskas

  • Shantu Medvedev is our national hero!! Spassibo veli! :)

  • I would like to say something, Karjalaiset, finish and estonians, they seem to be all one nation, and thats what they are. To start a search bout history, and look into dialog lexikon, we all have one- one words, and have lots of them.

  • Ylväänä Karjalan heimo tuskansa kantanut on.

Miten on elämä vänäjän karjalassa teille Karjalaisille jotka jäi sinne?

  • Why is karjala and karjalaiset looked upon as a own people`? Karjala was a part of Finland and spoke finnish, What seperates them except their dialect. Also I thought that almost every karjalainen had to move into other parts of Finland after war and Karjala was lost. I dident think the russians let anyone stay.

  • @erikandreasnilsson After the war 130 000 Karelians stayed in USSR. Karelians is a nation, they are a bit different from Finnish people.

  • @dimuska Ok thanks for the info, I thought they were all deported. What is diffrent? arent they just a suomalainen heimo just as all other ppl in Finland? They must have been spread over all of Finland as many have some Karerlian relative in their family.

  • @dimuska

350 000 karelians were executed or moved to Siperia. And that happened before the WWII. During the years of the Horror in Karelia 1937-38.

400 000 escaped to Finnland. Those 130 000 could not go anywhere even wanted to. Karelians are a finnish tribe.

  • @dimuska

You are exactly right. Karelians are a tribe of their own. Karjala is the land of song and ancient Kalevala! Pride!

  • @dimuska

  • @dimuska Learn the difference between Finnish Karelians and Karelian Karelians. And don't you say they are the same thing.

  • @dimuska the real karelians live in finland. the 130 000 karelians have already vanished. good luck in trying to brainwash people.

  • @Peppepoppldoppl, hhahah "130 000 karelians have vanished", then WHO's singin' this very song?... I know this guy and he is from Aunus (Olonets), my auntie is from this region too, she's liwik and she speaks liwik perfectly. There are still thousands of karelians in "venajan" Karjala. You wouldn't believe how many people have karelian or finnish roots here, i lived in Petroskoi and 3 of my classmates were finnish with surnames SALOJARVI, PAJANEN and TATTI. :)

  • @rancerpigy its obvious you are insecure. and its obvious you want to play bigger than you really are.

starting your reply with a "haha". and a continued train of mongoloid criteria and excellent failure.

  • @rancerpigy Can you keep your language there? Are the young also talking it?

  • @Peppepoppldoppl Better look at thyself :-) Brainwashed idiot with rotten brains

  • @kenstarr2009 So you think. But in reality you are the only brainwashed person here.

  • @Peppepoppldoppl not more brainwashed than thee. Just thou beest a hater.

  • Comment removed

  • @Peppepoppldoppl Western propaganda had brainwashed Western people against Russians, Soviet propaganda had done the same as reply - Soviet people had been set against West.

By the way, Soviet Union had been destroyed by traitors, who were paid by Amerika. They are gorbatshov, yeltsin and their lackeys.

One more thing to think - Finnik folks (which are living in Russia) are usually friendly to Russians unlike Caucasians & Asians. And unlike most of brainwashed Estonians & lot of Finns too.

  • @kenstarr2009 I am not bothered by Western propaganda, I am not bothered about brainwashing, I am not brainwashed, I am self-taught and set to be educated. Take time to think about where brainwashing really exists. Russia, maybe? There is something extremely annoying on the Internet, that's the American kids kissing Russian arse. Ever seen them? "Oh my god Russia is so cool I want to live there LOL". So don't even think about snapping back at me, I have long ago shunned emotions and norms.

  • @Peppepoppldoppl “There is something extremely annoying on the Internet, that's the American kids kissing Russian arse...” It’s really bothered thee? I’m not bothered by that and it’s not interesting for me. BTW, what thou writest about Russia… it’s not better, than written about Russian ass, what is kissed by Americans :-) Even worse!

“I am self-taught and set to be educated…” – still not educated?

  • @kenstarr2009 Yes, I am educated to the brim. However, in your 3rd world country education is a bit.....let's say rotten.

  • @Peppepoppldoppl “I am educated to the brim…” What a kind of education? Economic? Mathematics? Electrotechnics? Chemistry? tell me for not to be unfounded.

“education is a bit.....let's say rotten” – you don’t know at all about Russian education. I don’t know about Swedish education, therefore I don’t write anything about it.

Russians first had taken Cosmos, made a lot of nuke weapon and military technics, Russian influence in world science is strong. It’s too much to enumerate.

  • @Peppepoppldoppl Fully educated? Fuck, cunt, degenerate, piss-stain – is it your education? Tell me about your education so i wouldn't think so

  • @kenstarr2009 Why do you think so highly of yourself? Why are so naive, gullible and dumb? Why do you hide?

  • @Peppepoppldoppl I don’t think highly of myself. Just you have megalomania. So keep bragging :-)

  • @Peppepoppldoppl I don’t hide, just my account is not accessible to you. I don't know why it's so. Try to change settings in your account.

Firstly i couldn’t understand what means “you hide”. BTW my account is accessible to all.

  • @kenstarr2009 How come Russia is not brainwashed and least not corrupted? If I travel to your country the police will maul me without reason. How free of brainwash and corruption is that? I have been to your country, In Vyborg for example, people bought live chickens from the shop. What the fuck is that?

  • @Peppepoppldoppl Beest thou offended Swede? :-) WTF thou did in St.-Peterburg, Jaroslavl and Vyborg, if thou so hatest Russia? Had thou been mauled by Russian police? Robbed by silly Russian freaks? What thou had forgotten in Russia? What was the purpose of thy trip? Answer me!

Live chickens – they were bought for countryard :-) Ha-ha! :-)

  • @kenstarr2009 I don't need to tell you the purpose of any of my own "trips".

  • @kenstarr2009 Why is the Russian so government so lazy on infrastructure?

  • @Peppepoppldoppl Because “Russian” government is presented by jewish bastards and traitor’s scum – mUdvedev and zaluPutin, and a lot of non-russian rats. Russia had been doomed by jewish government.

  • @kenstarr2009 Lol, the Jews are to blame for everything aren't they? How come lazyness does not play a role, then?

  • @Peppepoppldoppl There is Russian proverb: =The fish rots from the head=. All disasters are beginning by government. And you are particulary right - government does brainwashig. All mainstream media are liars.

One more proverb: =We have everything for friends. We have the law for enemies=.

I live in Russia and look at it all every day. Therefore i can tell any bad about Russia & Russians, sometimes i do it. So you may be right about Russia only in some cases, but not in all.

  • @kenstarr2009 That's too bad, I hear that everyones sworn enemy US and EU are run by Jews, too. How come all of these Jews are so bitter towards each other, all the way from China to the New World?

  • @kenstarr2009 Aye! Look at me! I'm not brainwashed! I let Kenstarr rob me wallet and run away with it! Are these lads not brainwashed, these boyos who let people rob them?

  • @Peppepoppldoppl “I let Kenstarr rob me wallet and run away with it!...” it’s ostentatious complacency – one more sign of brainwashed people. It’s better to donate the wallet for the state of Honduras! :-)

BTW, i haven't necessary in thy moneys and especially rob thee :-)

  • @kenstarr2009 Hello, Anatoly. My real name is Anton Vistbacka, it's not Bjorn.

  • @Peppepoppldoppl A lot of Russians has name Anton too. :-)

  • @kenstarr2009 Anton is a common name in my country.

  • @Peppepoppldoppl I didn't know that Anton is common name in your country and even fully like Russian form of this name unlike English form Anthony.

  • @kenstarr2009 Hang on, me and my friend are going to the shop to buy some tobacco.

  • @Peppepoppldoppl to smoke is dangerous for health. I don't smoke

  • @kenstarr2009 I do not smoke either, sometimes I take Snus, that's about it. That's the tobacco I am talking about.

  • @Peppepoppldoppl I swam in the river for 100 metres the day before yesterday, and today I had run for 7 kilometres. It's much better than to smoke and drink beer. :-) BTW the water in river is cold - about 12 Cels.

  • @kenstarr2009 When I click on switch user on my computer a blue screen appears and my computer shuts down, why?

  • @Peppepoppldoppl probably OS has fatal errors or damaged. Also check hard drives by CHKDSK (if OS = MS Windows). Maybe it's necessary to reinstall OS. BTW have you some antivirus on your PC? (like Kaspersky)

  • @kenstarr2009 I have Kaspersky and CCleaner

  • @kenstarr2009 If you think I am anywhere near-brainwashed; you are a mangy, delirious little piss-stain. Jesus of a fucking flying harlots, you are so utterly, utterly idiotic. If I were that idiotic I would slap myself in the face. BRAINWASHING? BRAINWASHING WHERE? ME? Do you suffer from some sort of emotional delirium?

  • @Peppepoppldoppl @Peppepoppldoppl Ha-ha, you are offended again and telling bullshit, but you really like offended Russians how you think & write now. I even thought – maybe you are Russian? Your name also made me to think so! :-)

Also you are trying to show that you are cold as stone but it can be seen.

Brainwashed? All people are brainwashed, maybe I’m too, but you are more brainwashed than me. It’s impossible that West people are brainwashed and Russians are not, and vice versa too.

  • @kenstarr2009 Anton is a common name in my country, Helge and Helga is too. Oleg and Olga are counterparts to Helge and Helga.

  • @Peppepoppldoppl I haven’t forgotten anything in Honduras :-) Just it often used to say to wasteful person “Donate to Honduras”, where i’m living

  • @kenstarr2009 Did you know that Central America is the most violent place on Earth?

  • @Peppepoppldoppl Yes, I did. But Central America isn't only one violent place on Earth. Middle East and Afrika are too. Even some bad parts of Russia like Chechnya. Probably all muslim countries are very violent.

  • @kenstarr2009 I hear that the prisoners in Venezuela cut off the head of the prison guard and played football with it

  • @Peppepoppldoppl much more horrible things had been happened in Russia, in the part of Russia what's called Chechnya. Savage and bloody chechen butchers had cut off the heads and had shown it beside camera. It's so disgusting and it's real fact. Many Chechens can kill anyone without regrets and repents. They even are proud of it..

I even have some disgusting videos, what were taken by me on CD from man which was in Grozny.

Similar actions also are happening in muslim countries.

  • @kenstarr2009 Do you get paid for defending Russia on the web? Does the police pay ye? Eh?

  • @Peppepoppldoppl To think about paid defense on YT is one more sign of brainwashed people too! :-) this proves that thou beest brainwashed, because thou doest not know anything at all about the situation in Russia. Nobody pays, especially police. Don't be so naive, Bjorn! It's just my point of view!

AND ANSWER TO ALL MY QUESTIONS BECAUSE I’VE ANSWERED TO ALL QUESTIONS

  • @Peppepoppldoppl Firstly you called me Kenstarr. You sound ace!:-) I just replied the same way :-)

  • @kenstarr2009 Yes, someone pays you for acting like a patriot on the web.

  • @kenstarr2009 Do you know who the mouthy Puerto Rican is?

  • @Peppepoppldoppl I don’t know & i’m not bothered by mouthy Puerto-Rican :-)

  • @kenstarr2009 There is a Puerto-Rican on YouTube that leaves 100 replies for every 1 I make.

  • @kenstarr2009 Why is it a sign of brainwashed people? I have seen it with my own naked eyes. I do not listen to what anyone else says unless it is settled, I do not care about gossip or story, neither do I care about mainstream media. I listen to myself if there is anyone to listen to.

  • @Peppepoppldoppl So think about before to write any worthless crap...

  • @kenstarr2009 Type IN ENGLISH, YOU FUCKING CUNT DEGENERATE.

  • @Peppepoppldoppl Written by thee is typical for degenerate with low IQ, therefore I’m not offended by thee. I’m typing as i wish, so don’t tell me how to do :-)

BTW, English is simplified and only 30% of original and all the rest is loanwords, English is like Esperanto.

There are no strict rules in English for me, true English is closer to German-Deutsch :-)

Du bist = Thou beest; Arse = Arsch

  • @erikandreasnilsson Finnish karelians and eastern karelians are two different type of karelians. The finnish karelians are they who lived in karelian isthmus and Ladoga karelia inside the former finnish borders. They were mostly savonians who moved to karelia in 14th and 15th century, and they speaked savonian dialect of finnish language. But the east karelians are different ethnic group who have lived in east karelia for thousands of years, speak their own language and have their own traditions

  • So many sounds that are very hard for finnish speaking to prenounce. like mecän. must be metsä?

  • Kaunis laulu

  • What a beautiful song! My mother's father was from Olonets Karelia, and he spoke this language. I like this song so much, that I added it to my Finno-Ugrian website. Thank you for creating this! - Roy

  • @TheAnitamus Fortunately, you are wrong ;)

  • @dimuska Kus työ pienet hierut:

    Pačyt, Hatut, Čilmiät?...

    Möllötetäh mökit

    abiah tyhjil silmil.

    Kazvoitunnuh peldo,

    laho aidu kuadui…

    Kus on hierun vägi?

    Kunnebo kai suadih?

    This is Livvik.

  • @dimuska

Don´t you dimuska know about the years of Horror and NKVD massmurdering karelians before the Soviet attack to Finland 1939?

  • @dimuska Listen to Heli Keinonen singing. Then you can hear what I try to tell to you.

  • @dimuska the soviet union installed russians in karelia with intention of making the karelians vanish more and more by generation from generation.

karelians are finns. it is a PART of finland and they have their own dialect

  • @TheAnitamus

Livvic is living language. There is ca. 5 000 person in Finland that speak it and 14 000 in Russia. I dont know the language myself, but plan to learn. And the Karelians as a nation has not disappeared either... Like my family we are living on both sides of the border this day.

  • @ArskaB73 Karelians had a right to live in Karelia both sides of The Tarto peaceborder. 700 000 karelians has left Karelia in 30´s, either they run to the safe side or were killed. We lost half of our family. We tryed to find them 60 years. I do not belive that you could have lived in Finnland and met your relatives until now. After the collapse of the CCCP. The nation of 700 000 , 5000 + 14 000 left of the 10 000-year old culture, and why?

  • @TheAnitamus Now I am a bit lost with your text.... Ofcourse they had and have the right to live on both sides of the border and they do. My family (by family I mean may great grand father and his family not all relatives) were quite lucky and survived first the captivity in russian camps and both wars. I personally have not met the relatives behind the border (on the Russian site) but other finns have met them and it was not impossible in the soviet rule either. It was hard but not impossible.

  • @TheAnitamus You are asking me why? You have to ask somebody else... If it was me to decide Karelias would have much better history...

  • Kaspn: you are right, pronounciation, accent is close to Estonian actually. But this is grammatically closer to finnish than estonian (I understand about 80-90 % of the lyrics without prior knowledge of the language).

  • Nice to hear real Karjalais lyrics in a pretty cool song.

  • Hevoinen onkin gay xDDD

  • the pronunciation is so close to the turkish language. soft and beautiful.

  • @TheHunnicHorseman Are u a turk? I looked a little at turkish grammar at the net and it seemd to have a similar similar structure as finnish. i love your tu

  • @TheHunnicHorseman Are u a turk? I looked a little at turkish grammar at the net and it seemd to have a similar similar structure as finnish. i love theturkish bows. So small and still so powerfull.

  • Hi, I am estonian and i can say that this language seems to be similar to our language. Finnish seems to differ from Estonian a bit more than Karelian seems to differ from Estonian.

  • très belle cette chanson karélienne

    a beautiful Karelian song!!!

  • Ihana!!!

  • His album Hyvastit Karjala is great!!

  • kaunis!

  • Sounds kinda Finnish to me . is it a Finnish-dialect?

  • No, this is Livvik dialect of Karelian language. But Karelian is similar to Finnish.

  • I'm Finnish and time to time it's hard even for me to recognize that it's not finnish, easier to understand for me than estonian, only use of letter z and couple of special letters tells it's not some old dialect of Finnish. (I'm partially Finnish Karelian by blood)

  • The Karelian language is the closest to the Finnish. No wonder - Finland and Karelia are neighbours. )

  • 5 *****

  • on murre veider!

  • On jah päris kummaline.

  • Terve! I have a part of me from Karelia, and I really like this song, so beutiful! It would be great if you could translate this song to english in a new wideo, would be really interesting..,

  • I'll harness fierce(or flaming) horse to front of carts(?) made of birch I'm forced to forget ???(unfamiliar expression) of woods I spur my horse to take me to my love ??? ??? (sorry, two first words also unfamiliar) [to?] misty forest wilderness rings horn from far away I'll ride all the day to night My horse I spur to take me to my love I hear how far waterfall dins Bronze (or some other metal) is spilling in horse's reins Tin is also dripping in horse's breast While I guide (us) to my love

  • Thank you, in witch case I now understand what the song is about! Thank you!

  • @dimapez - Agu minule muchoikse tullet... But if you would (be)come my wife -

  • "Heboine on kirkei" means "Horse is quick/fast".

  • @dimuska Heboine on kirkei = 'Hevonen on kerkeä', siis nopea

  • @dimuska heboine is horse? but they also sing hevon. And hevon much be horse also.

  • @erikandreasnilsson

heboine = horse and I am not shure, but hevon propably means horses.. I mean like finnish hevosen eller på svenskan hästens...

  • Very nice song and language. A big hug from the Basque Country.

  • Thank you! =)

  • Is it normal for roman script to be used for your language or do you normally use cylliric? Love the sound of this song, reminds me of back woods north american singing ala Gordon Lightfoot. Thanks,a Finn-American 3rd generation.

  • Yes, for Karelian language roman script is normal.

  • en ois uskonu ymmärtäväni tuota murretta

  • wonderful song. Some would regard Livvi pr Olonets Kareloan as na separate language.

  • Aika mahtavaa, kiitos. Äitini suku on karjalasta, kiitos tästä! =)

  • Olkaa hyvä!

  • Good video ! 5 *

  • Köszönöm! :)

  • Kiitos!

  • Tiedätkö mistä Tallinnassa vai Helsingissa minä voin ostaa Karjalan lauluja? Ja onko Suomessa vai Virossa Karjalan festivaaleja Heinäkuussa?

  • Virossa ei ole karjalan festivaaleja. Minä en tiedä, missä sä voit ostaa karjalan lauluja :P

  • Nii ilus ja niin kaunis! ;) Kiitos! Karelian language, culture and landscape is wonderful. Are the pictures from Karelia? Do you have more Karelian songs on YouTube? This is a great inspiration for my studies of Finnish, Estonian and Karelian. Asutko Tartossa? Minä tulen Tarton Yliopistoon opiskelemaan suomea ja viroa. Kiitos vielä kerran!

  • =) Ei, minulla ei ole enää karjalan videoita. Minä asun Tallinnan lähellä.

    Ole hyvä! :D

  • Yes, the pictures are from Karelia :)

  • Santtu Karhu & Talvisovat is a great band in live in northern karelia (finland's side though) and they used to tour in there

  • seal kus on "tulizen hevon" sõnad on taustaks ka lahe tulihobu. kas see foto on erakogust? kui netist, paluks viidet :)

  • Hi! it's very nice song and also compliment to the photo. Can you please tell me who is the singer? Thankyou in advance. Anja

  • Laulavat Sing Santtu Karhu & Talvisovat :)

  • Since I'm a finno-ugrian descent I love this song..just love the way it sounds

  • Hienoa kuulla Karjalan kieltä. Kaunis kieli :). Perkeleen vasemmistonuoret on tappanu kansallistunteen Suomesta, alkaen 1960-luvulta :'(. Suomalaiskansojen identiteettiä täytyy tukea! Olen 1/4 karjalainen, joten tuen karjalaisten asiaa.

  • Kiitos Dima!

  • Ole hyvä!

  • I feel like I'd understand it better than Finnish:D Good song.

  • Hieno laulu!

    Great song! :]

  • dim)) its really nice to listen a song from our country... I live in Moscow, but sometimes I feel myself FinUgoric... I know some word in Suomi keeli and so fine recognize them in Karjala (language))) it sounds sometimes like Tatar)) CH CH)) thanks) I've got much pleasure)

  • tuo on karjala laulu (Livvik dialect).

  • Aa. Kiva =)

  • I am stunned, I didn't know it's so much like Finnish. For an Estonian it sounds like finnish only with some C-s with umlauts

    I liked the song

  • Yes. Karelian is very similar to Finnish.

See on karjala keele aunuse murre =)

  • Maybe :D

  • oli huvitav naha su klipisid :) sa siis tugev urali keeltes. ma sooviksin t6esti tutvuga sinuga

    kas sul msn messenger va?

    saame seal raakida va?

  • Vastan sulle kirjana.

  • Terveisiä Santtu Karhulle ja Talvisoville. Mikkelissä olimme katsomassa heitä vuonna 2005. Santtu Karhu lupasi tulla soittamaan, kun joskus menemme naimisiin. :D
