great film - great example of plenty of good acting meets PURE CAMP -- hope emerson steals the film and eleanor parker is top notch

I second that emotion! Hope Emerson was nominated for an Oscar. And should have WON! A truly GREAT film.

They spoofed the cat scene in Reform School Girls, which in turn was a homage to women in prison films such as Caged.

Great movie with a terrific cast, esp. Hope Emerson as Evelyn Harper. She is wonderful! Thanks for posting!

FANTASTIC movie ~ and ELEANOR PARKER should have won the Oscar for this - it finally was recently released on DVD - long over-due. You have great taste in movies - the only thing that might have enhanced this movie would be CONNIE FRANCIS singing the theme from CAGED (yes I'm kidding) -
