Fact is, this is a twisted form of censorship. "Oh my God, a Republican is offering an opposing opinion! Quick, run the fart sounds so nobody hears it!"
Correction of a typo on an earlier post: I said Al "clarified the DATE that the senate would be voting on." I meant to say "The DATA that the senate would be voting on."
But as long as I'm here, I just want to reiterate that I'm inviting the Frankin-bashers to comment on the ISSE of THIS thread: Thule presented false information to the senate (notice I didn't say "lied") and Frankin corrected it and enjoined his colleagues to _read_ bills they vote on.
More name calling, but no mention of the issue raised in this video.
I infer the "Um um um eh ah ah um er ehm um um" you mention is a reference to the way Al talks? Well, that's an improvement. You're at least addressing something in the vid.
My response is that between all the um's and ah's, Frankin is telling the truth.
Whereas Thurman delivers his false factoids very smoothly. Between smoothly delivered false factoids and stuttering facts, I'll take the facts.
What I notice about people who denigrate Frankin is that they do NOT ever address the issues he brings up. He pointed out that Thune had presented something as fact, something that simply was NOT true. He corrected and clarified data (aka facts) in the public's understanding of proposed legislation. That's what senators are supposed to do, not make up "factoids." But notice none of these Frankin-bashers are disputing what Frankin had to say. Any of you want to pass off your factoids here?
