  • cool car man but your driving style is not. everytime you slow down you kick in the clutch, then you realease it when resuming. that is terrible for the clutch not to mention you have a lot less control putting it in neutral every time u let off the throttle.. just my 2 cents, very cool car though

  • @specialk18701 a sc is instant boost vs turbos that spool from the exhaust that is where u get lag from and the sc seemed like it had more torque and turbos have been around a long time to there both old news

  • No, that car does have over 900 hp, because it goes from 80-140 as fast as my trans am goes 0-60. You need rediculous torque to push a car like that in 3rd.

    he is exactly right......you need EXPONENTIALLY more power to do what this car does, and this vette DEFINITELY has the stated power or VERY close to it.

    yourjust going about 90 and dropin it show us what u can do i dont think it has 900 HP

    the car stock comes with 532 HP so about 700 a may be wrong tho

  • Hey Ryan, taking off from a stand still is hard without drag radials. It goes up in smoke at 1/4 throttle. Thats why most of vids are from a roll. The car stock comes with 400HP and 360ci motor. Now it has a 402ci at 15psi pushing about 920hp. I rounded it up from 918hp.

  • Wow man, I can't believe you have tried both the supercharger and the turbos! I have been wanting to get twin turbos for my c5 for a while, but I know it can only handle about 6 psi of boost stock. How much did you have to modify you engine to get it up to the teens? Would you have to completely rebuild it, or are there kits? I would say it's best to go with the turbos for fuel economy if it's on a daily driver... Sick car man, you are really livin the life!

  • With the turbos the power comes in at a lower RPM but my clutch is begging for mercy.

    You can hear a slight squeal if you listen close enough. New clutch and higher boost vids coming soon !!

  • @C6Dude402 what type of blower was ran? I take it a centrifugal type to push out 15lbs of boost. I just think its kinda cool that the boost comes in sooner on the tt setup.

    With the twins it's about the same 920 as the SC. Need a new clutch to handle the added torque before the boost gets bumped to about 18psi

  • I liked both setups, they definitely put a smile on your face. The turbos are nicer because you get full boost at a lower RPM.

  • Guys ,I agree, It did have a nice scream with the Supercharger. The exhaust going through the turbos quiets it up a bit. But, It has more power at a lower RPM range with the turbos :-)

  • Pulls harder than before bro. The clutch will not handle any more Torque. I get traction in fourth gear. New clutch this winter that will handle 1500HP + .Then I can turn up the boost.

    Listen to the clutch slip when I get on it on the highway(squeal).

    It did have a better sound with the S/C thats for sure

  • Is that the APS kit? Any lag?

  • It is not. It's the TTi X kit with upgraded turbos. They are a Turbonetics T3 T4 Hybrids. They spool up faster than the APS GT 35's and is one of the reasons I chose this kit over the APS kit.

  • How do you solve the radiation heat problem from the turbos? I like APS as they are underneath the car with alot of airflow...

  • The TTi's are underneath the car as well. Heat is not an issue whatsoever. My car is slammed and the routing of the APS pipes would have been a problem as well. Some APS people are making skid bars for theirs to avoid damaging the inlets that run under the car....

  • I have full boost by 3000rpm instead of waiting until redline with the blower.

    Don't get me wrong, it was a beast with the blower but there is a little more potential with the turbos. I did loose it's exhaust tone going through the turbos but it pulls harder. I will be installing both systems at my shop and wanted to get the turbos dialed in as well.

  • Myzery97 It's very decieving without the screaming exhaust from the headers and supercharger. The thing pulls VERY hard. The highway runs you saw were in 4th gear at 1:1 ratio. That is the only gear I can get traction now. The runs you saw with the supercharger were in 3rd gear. My clutch is barely holding up now. Time for a new clutch when I turn up the boost and get some sticky tires on there.

    I'm at 13psi at the moment tuning my way up to full boost. I'll be posting the dyno video at my shop when I get a different clutch to handle the extra power as well as new vids shot from a camcorder taken by a car next to me
