This played drive-ins for nearly 15 years with "Last House on the Left" and "Don't Look in the Basement." Only those 2 are good. "Vanished" is AWFUL! The empty-headed blonde featured sees and murder and never tells anyone about it, only her friends, then wonders why someone's following her. SKIP!
sheez, i can just see it now. Some young rich cocky-ass director gets the rights to this film and start remaking all the 70s classic grindhouse/horror movies. I wish they just leave the old school films alone and use their imagination. Like the old days!.
I agree! Is the movie business lacking THAT MUCH ORIGINALITY AND CREATIVITY? I guess so, in my opinion! Where (exactly) do (today's) directors, writer(s), and/or producer(s) hope to go with these re-makes?
nothing probably beats anything old to you..." mainly because you're old and don't like it...just like evry other generation of oldies who walked the earth since adam and eve...funny how your"old days" was someone else's "everything sucks today" days...or why did you Sinatra loving father hate all that hairy hippie shit rock you played...bet he told you the "old stuff" was better..now, didn't he?
it's ok; kinda like a lesser bava/argento movie; some blonde model gets lost in the fog at a dark house where she witnesses a murder, with the mysterious killer later stalking her.
from DISTRIBUTOR of last house on left (also an aip off-shoot?). interiors shot in fascist spain, exteriors and cast british. director spanish, did some art for creepy/errie 1970s bw warren comic books. from same director as "vampryes"??
yes it's only a movie but you might some day end up at the house that vanished ...

Stupid mobile homes, always disappearing like that, and then reappearing, like a van, down by the river, lol.

As much as I love the clarity of DVD, I, STILL, enjoy the "grainyness" of the "old school" movies on VHS!

It is actually available on DVD now in the States. I'm thinking about ordering it.
I have a series called THRILLER and the girl, Andrea Allan, is in an episode called THE NEXT VICTIM, but she doesn't last too long in that.

Unless you're talking about independent horror, in my opinion, NOTHING beats "old school"-NOTHING!
