And rally drivers will be using the 'Scandinavian Flick'! Have a look at ' Formula 1 - 1957 Nurburgring Juan Manuel Fangio ' on Youtube. (not my vid) When you see how narrow the tires were on early F1 cars, you will realize that they were moving between drifting and gripping on most of the corners! Bring it on! B-)

Drifting is a fun sport thats about it,grip is 1 endless technique from karting to F1,big power RWD is no big deal to drift,what we c here its grip over d edge,the S2K is not drifting hes "over speeding at the corner exit",not a safe style to run 70 laps but sure on touge would make you win a race or 2 when you push to win or catchup,by making d car oversteer u correct d proper line dat you desire to stay on, "the fastest line" btw not any1 could make a car go real fast using this technique.

actually you're wrong at what drifting means. drifting as a sport is connecting multiple drifts into one line. drifting as a technique is oversteering the car to corner faster in limited grip situations (IE, on dirt, snow, and wet roads) where a grip style is slower than a drift style. in touge it's not about drifting, it's about going as fast as possible, pushing the tires grip to the absolute maximum. no good for long races, but for short races it's the only way to go fast.

Actually drifting is the fastest way through a corner if you do it correctly, especially if you have an FR car. It's harder on your tires, but if you're on a circuit it's the best way to go, same with mountain passes if you have the money. Read up on racing theory from Paul Frere.

A four wheel drift with zero countersteer is one of the hardest things to do, but it's also the fastest way around a corner, no matter where that corner is.
