The psychologist interviewed the kids many times and she said that everytime the kids came in to talk the stories got more and more outrageous. And during that time, the kids had not seen the parents in over a year. When they realized their plan didn't work, they kidnapped the kids before the courts sent them back to their parents. they had 3 grandkids but only wanted 2? suspicious!
Seems like you'd put two and two together. The grandparents are missing + the kids r missing. Did we have not shows about missing kids back then where photos of the grparents and kids could have been shown across America?

THEY can decide how/when they want to reunite with their parents.
