This is not the Archos 5 Internet Media Tablet. It is the Archos 5 Internet Tablet which replaced the Internet Media Tablet which was a more square shaped model and only went up to 250gb. This model goes up to 500gb. Be careful of this fact when purchasing

Great videos, you are the reason i bought an archos, please help me, when ever i try to watch a video it loads for a little bit and then freezes, then i have to reboot my archos do you know what might be causing this?

First, thanks for the great reviews.

As you mentioned in this video, bitrate of 2.2Mb/s is about the limit archos 5 android can do for smooth playback.

it's what happened using youtube.

how about other video files?mkv, avi?

the playback also becomes laggy if the files have bitrates over 2.2Mb/s?

If you use a netbook just for browsing the web, watching videos and occasional short emails then, maybe but for most people, the netbook keyboard and screen size, windows xp support, is important.

okay, Great, great, now, thank you very much. The reason it can't handle well the video that is already on the device is: software architecture. its buggy, they have to work more on the firmware. depending the the sells they will, I'm buying one next week, I need it for web browsing. and youtube watching. QUESTION, it is possible to play youtube videos embedded in a web page? thank you.

Think about thickness, noise, heat, ruggedness advantages off SSD and storage advantages of HDD. The trade-off is your choice. I never carry huge amounts of video content so 32GB is more than enough for me. I've also killed a few HDD's in mobile devices in my time!
