Look like the trains you saw were the F756 (Cayce,SC-Savannah, GA) and the F754 (Augusta, GA- Charleston, SC).
Also, the subdivision that you called the Savannah Sub is really called the Columbia Sub. It runs from Elmwood Jct. in Columbia, SC to Central Jct. in Savannah, GA
The Luray train is on the old Seaboard Airline route. The Fairfax train is on the old Atlantic Coastline route. On July 1, 1967, the 2 lines merged to become the Seaboard Coastline. I'm sure that connector in Fairfax was built right after that. Today, it is all CSX.
@mkl62 That Train is passing the Scotia Defect Detector. This is south of Estill and well south of Luray. Interesting thing about the old Defect Detector here. Located inside the Concrete Structure, it gave the actual name "Scotia"
while the replacement on the right only gives the Milepost location. There was also a White Indicator Light that would come on just before the train passed over the cameras. I have Video of the old one when it was still working. Good Video.
is it busy in those places which one would you suggest to go

ahhh, reminds me of the days of getting late for school because of having to wait for a train with 200+ cars on it to pass by in Fairfax, SC.
