Nice video, I liked how you entered the options menu just to give us a glance. Do you know why doesn't this game have anything on its gameFAQ page? I want to know how many levels are they, it gets a little confusing because they repeat a lot and there isn't any sign about the levels. I was curious why isn't there much info about it.
You know what's funny? I've heard from different sources that Radical Rex CD does not work on the Sega CDX. But you know what? My copy plays just fine on my CDX!
@tiakpark Basically, the Sega CD was capable of displaying 256 colors onscreen via technical trickery. This rumor's not true and the only game said to use it is constantly debated as having it and not having it. I talked to the Executive Producer and Designer of the game in question (not this one, the one that's supposed to use the 256 colors.) and he said both sides of the argument were right. Not sure what that means as he likes to speak in riddles a lot. lol.
@benjamillion Oh yeah, I agree tbh. Though, I grew up playing the SNES version of this as a kid. It was pretty fun. Though it's kind of cheesy, it's definitely work at least one playthrough. The Genesis and Sega CD versions have different layouts for the levels, and the final boss is different. Other than that, they're very similar, though the Genesis/Mega Drive and Sega CD games are harder and there's an enemy that only appears on higher difficulties that's in all dificulties on the SNES.
@EdmacZ Modren day rap is still good....matter of looking in the right places. if you want a taste of what proper new rap has got to offer, look up these tracks:-
you have to watch that dumb song and then wait for the game to load and when it does load you have to watch a dumb story where you don't get to play... oh wait.. this shit has to load again horrible game
@ReturnOfTheStienway Actually, you don't have to wait for the song. You can skip it with the start button. It actually doesn't take as long to load as you think. Dumb ass wipe.
Its not actually a Sonic rip off at all. If it were then the Dinosaur would be running on his feet. He doesn't even run. Of course I suppose every platformer looks like a Sonic game.
Is that a bad thing? I mean, it's better than some of the stuff around today. Oh well, it's your opinion. I just finished making the playthrough a few minutes ago by the way.
want to hear something strange this is rated the rarest sega cd game , some people think the real game doesnt exist , i just bought it off ebay for 3$ , i guess ill find out if its a scam or real , hopefully its real cuz this game looks pretty fun ... do you own the real version or ever seen it
I sort of have the real version of it. Sort of as in I burnt the ISO to a CD-R and can play it on my Sega CD. (There is a special way to burn it though otherwise it won't be read by the Sega CD. I didn't hear anything about this game's rarity. I don't really think it is rare at all to be honest. Its just that nobody really wants it... maybe. It is heavily overshadowed by the SNES version.
Yeah it is. The Sega CD BIOS is relatively easy to find. Depending on which regional version of Radical Rex Sega CD you have. If you have the US version then You'll want the US BIOs. Type in Sega CD BIOS. There are two versions. Which one you want is your choice. It doesn't really matter to be quite honest. To activate the Cios in Gens simply hunt for the configuration settings. I use Kega Fusion and can't remember the location of the configuration settings on Gens so you'll need to find them.
I couldn't get this version to work on Gens for some reason. It must've been a bad file. I can't wait to see the later stages even though they're a pain.
You need a Sega CD Bios file to get it to work on Gens. Also there is a more accurate emulator than Gens out now. While Gens runs smoother, Kega Fusion, as the emulator is called is more accurate and even has a built in AVI recorder.(However it uses a special codec that won't work on Youtube so you'll need to install the codec and convert the video before uploading.)
Oh and I might want to mention that I can't beat the Sega CD version's Stage 5 boss. He was easy in the SNES version but he is a pain in the ass and I'm a little rusty on dodging his magic attacks. Also lol, he's a Gopher.
I know he's Gopher. XD I played both the Genesis and SNES games. I remember beating him the same way I did on the SNES. Starting off with a maximum roar, then breathing on him like hell whenever his shield was off and his shots spread.

@tiakpark It's probably just a rumor. =) Lots of rumors are around about the Sega CD. Including the 256 color rumor. ;)

Ey, what's wrong with 90's rap?
I'll take it 10x over the trash they put out these days. 90's Rap was hardly good, but it was so bad it was awesome. Modern Day Rap is...crap.

Um, isn't this game just on the original Genesis, too? I have the ROM for it, and I don't even have the Sega CD BIOS for Gens.
