actually UK HAS been good, the NCAA officially awarded us a championship during one of the years that Bryant coached at UK, they used the Sagarin ratings to determine that UK would have won, I think they tied with the best record that year

actually no, 1950, they beat #1 Oklahoma in the Sugar Bowl, the NCAA officially recognizes them as the co-National Champions that year

it means EVERYTHING, the 2006 season was a "turning point" then in 2007 we beat our rivals one week then the number 1 team in the nation the next, and have gone to 3 consecutive years, your right they are not big bowl games BUT you cant deny that the UK isnt just a Basketball school, we are a school that is a major player in the SEC when it comes to football, and well.... basketball for that matter, we choked the last few years but we easily have one of the best incoming teams... eat it.
