ive been reading comments on other bright eyes songs .. and people always talk about how conor has a bad voice and how the lyrics is the strong side. but i think that his imperfect voice is what makes it perfect and how its mixed with the lyrics he writes, you can hear how it comes from his heart.

I've always said that Conor is the now and day Bob Dylan...that might piss some people off. But I think its true. They both have well from peoples standards "bad vocals" although I love both their vocals. They are both in my eyes, the best lyricists that ever lived.

@Devilslittleimp It would only piss people off for the reason that Conor Oberst is a much better lyricist than Dylan ever was. His themes are much more tightly woven. There's never any filler. With pretty much every line, you can add additional information to the line to make it more complete. He also experiments with impossible thoughts, kind of like an Escher drawing where it's possible to imagine but violates our natural laws. Comparison to Dylan would only be for lack of imagination.

This was live in December while the EP wasn't released until January, and wasn't on iTunes until the preorder package with "Outer South" in May. They also performed songs from the first CD before they even recorded so a lot of song names changed and evolved. This is similar to how Lenders in the Temple was originally referred to as "That's My Fault"
