I don't think the Dark Knight was that fantastic. It had little sense of pacing (like most modern movies), tried to pack too much in, and there were unexplained gaps (how did joker trap Dent and his girl friend in a death trap after he was caught?). But Heath Ledger was awesome, and everything you said about him was true; he single-handedly made the movie worthwhile.

Great review...Ledger owns the film & I agree that he creates one of the greatest characters on film...I hope the Academy doesn't rob him of another Oscar, the way they did for his Brokeback Mountain performance.

I'm really sorry but the movie was more hyped up then it should have been. I really don't think the script was all that great but in superhero movies they never really are. I still say and will no matter what the only reason why that movie did so well is because Heath Ledger is dead. It was his best performance don't get me wrong but it is nothing I would watch over and over again.
