@Bekkant, What can you say? It smokes, but it's old enough. It is just a bad habit. It was made fashionable in the days of this bike by glamorous movie actors. Many are never able to quit.
too many people worry about the chromework more than the mechanicals when restoring a bike.....probably never gets ridden and taken to the bike show on a trailer....my filthy old 69 bonnie looks like agarbage truck, but starts first kick and just flies
All Vincents Smoke! I have been tring to get me 'old girl' to 'quit' for years! She tells me it keeps her from getting fat and settles her nerves! In 2011 I will have owed her for fourty years! So gald me and my 'old gal' are still together! Thats longer than all four of my marriages put together!

All the oil has drained into the sump. Too much time spent polishing and not enough riding.

I own and ride a 47 Indian Chief and even it doesn't smoke like that unless it 'wet sumps'.
Either way, if I ever move from Indian (highly unlikely) Vincent would be my preferred other Marque.
