Even if it was the real Minato and even though he has HAX speed Sage Naruto can still sense him and if you watch what happens when Naruto fights the the Third Raikage Naruto is good at dodging and intercepting speedy opponents. Think of Naruto's Sage Sensing as Sharingan prediction. Also Sage Naruto has Frog Katas and can throw a Rhino. If he and Minato were to engage in Taijutsu Naruto would stomp. All Minato really has going for him is his speed and sealing jutsu.

@mrppww123 OFC people will use spoilers from the manga, it's in the middle of the war and the anime is simply an adaptation of the manga. Either way Minato is 100% stronger than naruto's sage mode, naruto has more endurance / chakra hands down but he doesn't have the skill to beat minato. I'd say even in kyuubi mode minato is stronger, what he did against tobi after naruto was born was epic, it's a pity more hasn't been released of minato while he was alive.

@josheeT By kyuubi mode do you mean his new form, or his old kyuubi mode? Because if you mean the new one i'd say they're about the same, the only exception is that minato requires a special kunai to be placed when naruto can just speed there and it looks like teleportation. Sage naruto however, no. Sage naruto was just normal naruto with some extra advanced chakra, nothing special.

@narutardtedr I did indeed mean his control of the kyuubi, not the chakra cloak he's had up until now. Minato definately has more skill than naruto, even with his power up. The trouble is naruto's kyuubi mode has so far given him the ability to use wild varients of rasengan, and multiple times. It's increased his speed thats true but minato has tons of his markers to use. In a fight i doubt naruto would want to kill the fourth, rendering rasenshuriken out the window. *Character limit....*

@josheeT in which case minato's skill would play a greater role than naruto's immense power. However if it were not so much a spar fight, more of a to the death, naruto's strongest attacks are beyond what we've seen of minatos. I think you can relate it to when naruto was developing rasenshuriken, it was more powerful than kakashi's rasengan, but kakashi's skill at the time was definately greater. (Without rasenshuriken naruto wouldn't of beaten kakuzu but kakashi undoubtedly did well)

@josheeT Well his cloak has given him more than just speed. It also adds strength, durability, reflex, and overall it's pretty much his super saiyan form. Not to mention the kyuubi can hand naruto an unlimited amount of this power, that is if he weren't being the stingy bastard he is in the current arc...but we're seeing change in him so this may change. Anyway, naruto's wounds also heal a lot quicker. Minato has more skill yes, but in naruto's new cloak form, no comparison.

But like i said he doesn't have the skill, or maybe more importantly the analytic mind that minato does. This doesn't mean he's stupid, he's come up with great strategies so far, shadowclone usage and whatnot (also vs third raikage) but minato could plant a marker on him and then at any point teleport+stab or restrain or anything. The argument is hard because we didn't see

@josheeT a lot of what minato was like, it would be good to have some more flashbacks or even a spin off manga dedicated to minato, but when we saw him against tobi during the attack on the leaf, he was brilliant. I just can't help thinking his flying thunder god technique would be such a counter to naruto's power moves. However once/if naruto learns it (from those 3 that can use it together) it would be a clear cut win, also undoubtedly naruto will get stronger and use his new kyuubi mode

As a passing note, for all we know minato was a accomplished at sage mode (probably more like jiraiya than naruto, so not quite perfect due to less chakra / harder to balance, they thought it was unusual when naruto had managed it perfectly as though it hadn't been done) which would tip the tables even if i was wrong about my points.

But i do agree, the argument is hard, they're both superb ninjas with skills we have yet to see (Knowing kishimoto naruto has some secret technique in store for sasuke) and we know nothing about all the techs minato knew.

@narutardtedr Yeah undoubtedly sasuke has some imba move, which naruto will have to counter, they'll both probably power up even more or something, your supersaiyan reference is pretty valid here, only instead of one super enemy theres a few. Like you said we don't know minato techs, just like we didn't know about madara having rinnengan (i.e edo madara not tobi) so a lot of it is speculation. I'm actually a naruto fanboy but i just think minato deserves his recognition :D
