I really dont know and havent seen this episode yet. But what I know is that Paige had premonitions while working in her office. She had witnessed some supernatural things around her so I guess she searched for answers and approached the right people who can help her and those were the Halliwells.

Piper cast a spell to call a lost witch in attempt to bring back Prue, but instead it put attracted Paige. In a short scene it shows Paige at work, and a newspaper magically appears from behind her, she notices Prue in the obituarys and because of the spell feels asif she should go

Paige happened to be at Prue's funeral. They weren't in the episode together, technically. Paige was introduced after Prue died.

Prue was the best in my opinion. It seemed to me that the show never quite got the bond between the sisters back after she died off... but I still love charmed all the same.

I know but I think Prue would have preferred it if she died first. She always knew the consequences of what came with being 'Charmed' and if that meant sacrificing herself for her sisters then she did her duty. After all what big sister wouldn't?

If you notice, before Paige is "Charmed" the camera angle is off kilter to reflect that the Charmed Ones are not whole. After Paige is Charmed the camera angle is back to normal.
