  • That's a DC-3 on the lawn at 1:16 isn't it? Cool video. was in LAX on March break.

  • Gud'day Billster. Yes that is a DC-3 at that time stamp. It is a part of a small aviation display as you can see from the other aircraft parked there also. Thank you for writing. Cheers!

  • lol, the 405 is so big!

  • Not tiny is it... Thank you for writing.

  • That's runway 25L

  • Sorry but Rwy 25 L is on the south side of LAX. (per the pilotage charts - airport diagrams). We were landing on the north side of LAX from the east, so it was Rwy 24L. All 4 runways at LAX are in fact parallel. To enable pilots to differentiate between the northern and southern pair of parallel runways, the north side pair is called 06-24 and the southern pair is called 07-25. Hope this is of some help to you and thank you for writing. Cheers!

  • Great video, nice sunny day.

  • Thank you. Yes it was a nice day, although a tad hazy as the air pollution in the LA basin can really get bad. Thanks for writing. Cheers!

  • U know now u can fly direct from Vancouver to Auckland with ANZ. Fact.

  • Thanks wazza. We were aware of that, did it last December '07. This trip we were traveling on "points" so that we would have extra funds to cover the rising cost of AVGAS for our Top End tour of Australia in a light aircraft. The only way to get "points" seats was to route via SFO outbound and LAX inbound.
