Ah yes, that makes sense now. Used to sit in New Orleans french quarter for years as the GM&O car...I just didn't recognize the new paint. I recall John Goodman used to travel on it, along with the Blues Brothers from Calumet City.

the parton tequila express #50 private car was formerly owned by issac burton tigrett the 2nd , from my home town of jackson tn, the founder of the hard rock cafe franchise, the car was originally lettered for the gulf mobile & ohio rr, his great uncle, issac burton tigrett the 1st was the president of the gm&o from 1940 to 1954 & this was his private car

I believe you are correct. It was the first pv to be certified by the Secret Service for presidential travel. May still be the only one to be so certified, although I haven't heard anything on this subject in a while.
