Yamaha Raptor 700R Cam Installation Part 2

i recently installed a HotCams Mudbuster cam in my 07 Grizzly 700 and didn't have to remove the rocker arm shafts. The cam slide right out and the new cam slide right in.

valve clearances were within specs also

Only thing you should of done different was to mark the cam chain with a marker BEFORE you pulled it off.  That way it wouldn't matter if you were off a little from TDC.

Nice! I have a stage 2 Hot Cam in my 6609 Raptor and it made a Big Difference, You should Get the Dyna FS Ignition. I just got one and its awesome, Made a Huge difference. Nice Video, Very informative.

Did you see great improvement? I want to install Stage 2 hot Cams in My Raptor 350... Is it faster? is the torque really better???

Proably not in a 350. I would say get a 700 if you want more power.

lol, good job on buying an engine that was designed in 1987...

get the 700, or a yzf 450, don't do cams and pistons on a raptor 350

how did u get the compressed rear bearing out of ur head. I bought the hot cam stage 2 for my raptor and cant seem to get it out

I have heard of this happening before. There suppose to come out with the cam. I think you will have to have someone press it out. Im not real sure about this one. Youll have to do a search on Google to find out more about it. Or call a Yamaha stealership. Sorry I couldnt help more.

What is that little k&n filter that you have connected to air intake???

The crank case breather tube is connected to the air box and running without a lid makes the crank case unprotected. Im using it as a crank case breather filter, its from AutoZone.

Im running a sparks air intake, so I should have that breather tube being the fact that I don't run with a lid.... How do i do that??? I'll go home tonite and check it out???

Any filter will do.
