Hi, just a question, On this video do you have soft cap def?

@andfvs No, it's not softcapped, if I remember correctly, just around 36% ranged, melee and AoE defense. He wasn't IO'd for defense really. My fire/shield scrapper is softcapped for all defense though and he's awesome =)

@WilleH1 I really got problems with Def on my WP/EM tank, all my positional Def are around 17,7% but the otheres 37%. Got around 2% reg without RttC, HP 3200, recovery 4,02%, but cant rise my Def to soft cap (45%). I'm on Union also.

Good job with the video. I have a 50 Elec / SD scrapper that I really like to play on. He's the first toon I have felt overpowered on. Shield defense is certainly not overpowered though, since you have to invest a LOT of cash in IO's to make them any good. They are extremely weak defense wise without IO's. But once you IO them out, you are basically unstoppable.

I couldn't stand brutes/tankers before 20 since they were massive energy hogs and I couldn't solo anything. :(

you can download game for free. costs to play but you can get a 14day trail and yep you can fly as well as super speed and even teliport :D

Lol wish I could but I got rid of it! It's not that good tbh. Mostly, even if I've popped the god mode (one with the shield), I die because it doesn't really do anything else but raise your resistance to all but psi and the +max health doesn't help much if you can't heal yourself. In other words it only adds more max health and bonus to resistance so it can be good if you use it BEFORE a fight.

everyone not just tanks got nerfed (If your talking about ED = enhancment diversification) other then that they have a limit of how many people you can hit with an aoe so even a taunt or fireball with 30 people in range it will hit something like a max of 10

my fave for a tank so far is my ice/superstrength

i'm a little biased. i started playing in '04. i got to experience such gems as the GDN(global defense nerf) and then ED (enhancement diversification). Statesman himself promised no more changes to powers then did a hatchetjob to every build. so believe me if i'm a little biased.

Oii! You know me? By my costume I'm guessing. Well if you are to make a shield tank I recommend you to get aid self and Tough. It'll help you alot with tanking.

Thanks! Shields is quite hard in the beginning but it gets really enjoyable once you get a hold of the red line. Later on I advice you to get at least tough, and weave if you can fit it in the build.
