Having been to oxaca and having a 9 course gourmet dinner, I can say cricket infused oil is ONE OF THE BEST THINGS YOU WILL EVER SAMPLE. I work in finance and have had a lot of fancy meals all over the world. Again, i was very surprised at the rich flavor of crickets..I am at a loss to describe the taste...comparison to something else is hard...

This is Pre-hispanic food from Mexico and even though they are rare, they are part of common dishes in Mexico. People need to be more open-minded, this is the best way to get to know the culture of a country and that is through food!

Oh and just so people know, they're not crickets, they're grasshoppers from mostly the corn fields of Oaxaca, Mexico. Grasshoppers, not crickets!! And yes they are quite delicious although not too much when they're too big. lol.
