This video seems to confuse the difference between responsibly raised free range meat and the factory farmed, mass produced meat and lumps them into the same category. If anything this video serves only to encourage people to consider where their meat comes from, not to stop eating it all together. Meat is a great source of protein and vitamins and when reared in a responsible manner, respecting and making sure to give the animal the best life it can, there is absolutely no reason to quit meat.

I went vegetarian today. I can not live the rest of my life knowing I'm supporting this.
Mass-slaughter of animals is primarily for money. Not for food. It is murder for money. I can't think of many things that top that for moral depravity.
I've been vegetarian now for a little more then 2 weeks. First my older sister started (Shes 19) and soon after she did I did (I'm 14) and now my mom might even start :) I just think its horrible what they do to the animals. I mean what if they killed humans for food ? Its disgusting. I know I'm only 14...but I think we should all make a change.
DON'T GO VEGETARIAN!.... Eat meat once a week or twice a month to sabotage the mass production. If we buy less, they will produce less, and that's a benefit for the animals' quality of life. Also, buy meat from a local farmer or from a small merchant -who technically treat animal better because they produce less- . People U have more power than U think!

ok, so i guess it's kinda ok cuz animals kill animals to eat them, but we kill them in a cruel way, and we kill way more than we need. we don't exactly need meat cuz there are lots of foods that we can eat that isn't meat, in other words WE ARE GREEDY!

Really is the animal feels fear it sends hormones into the meat and makes it harder for our bodies to handle anyway. Just makes sense for both us and the animal to do it right.

And yes, I have and occasionally do slaughter my own cow, because one of them can feed a family of four for more than 8 months. Yes true, there is no way for me to fend off a cow. But I do not torture or mistreat my animals. When i do slaughter one, it is the fastest and least painless way to do it. And one more thing, McDonalds can kiss my extremely pale hairy ass.

Also, right now, MEAT is cheaper, and until I get a better job (along with MOST of America), or your "healthy" food becomes cheaper, I might actually consider switching back to being a vegitarian. And maybe make a better flavour?

@aleatoirewebseries Atm, I can get a pound of hamburger for under $2, and it tastes great. I can get the pound of tofu for OVER $2, and it tastes like dried chewed gum off a truckstop restroom floor. So, if it tastes better, costs less, and didn't have extremest anti-meat groups dumping blood or whatever on meat eaters, I will seriously consider switching.

And besides, a cow isn't innocent, my neighbors cows get out of the barn and come and eat my nice freshly mowed lawn every summer (not to mention shit on it) so I think they deserve to be on a bun with catsup for ruining a few hours and how much moneys worth of gas, and sweat, that I put into my lawn.

i dont think it would be over populated, and even now not all animals get enough to eat but as long as the majority gets too eat and theirs no species going extinct im fine with it. An animal is an animal whether it be an elk or an ant they all have the same value they all feel pain, and im sure they ecosystem would work its self out with a few extra cows and pigs... wow i answered that in the wrong order :P

DON'T GO VEGETARIAN!.... Eat meat once a week or twice a month to sabotage the mass production. If we buy less, they will produce less, and that's a benefit for the animals' quality of life. Also, buy meat from a local farmer or from a small merchant -who technically treat animal better because they produce less- . People U have more power than U think!

@truth2748 I wouldn't say that. A large part of it comes from where you live. For example, I live in a fairly isolated town in the mountains, and much of the meat comes from under 70 miles away. But then again, many people live in cities where the meat is definitely imported from much farther away.

Only humans have rights. Animals do not survive by rational thought. They survive through inborn reflexes and sensory-perceptual association. They cannot reason. They cannot learn a code of ethics. A lion is not immoral for eating a zebra. Predation is their natural and only means of survival; they do not have the capacity to learn any other. Rights come from the ability to reason, an ability exclusive to man.
