I really appreciate your comments, and I totally agree. I'm an American, and I think that many Americans, as a response to anti-American sentiment that grew especially during the Bush years, have swung the pendulum to the opposite side now and almost have harbored a self-hatred. I think we need to find a happy medium: patriotism .. realizing, though that we're part of a global community that has become more and more apparent through globalization.
Its kinda sad that in the usa Its drilled into you at such a young age you dont question it what so ever because you just dont think about those types of things at that age but it sticks, its kinda depressing tbh.
