  • Mycket bra låt!

  • on my opinion they win 1990 and 2011

  • Best!!!

  • BEST !

  • Pure awesome song. It should've ended way higher.

  • glæsilegt lag verð ég að seigja ;)

  • Too good for 16th place. I think it took this place because of the orchestra, which didn't play it as good as in the studio version. For me this song is the winner that year!

  • I still can't understand how this debut didn't win... Iceland has ruled the contest from this moment!!

  • Even if I think Swedish is one of the more beautfiul languages, I must admit that Icelandic sounds even more beautiful. It flows so well and sounds so clear compared to many other languages.

    Greetings from Sweden

  • Takk fyrir það frændi:)

  • As a Swedish lingustics nerd, the most interesting about Icelandic to me is, that it still pretty much is the same language, that our common ancestors spoke one thousand years ago. The old more complicated grammar, that we Swedes only can find in some old expressions these days, is still very much alive in Icelandic and Faroese. In this song, the expressions "i Gledhibankanum" and "tóman blús" are great examples of this.

  • suit upp big time djöfull vantar manni svona jakkaföt og þetta massífa sítt að aftan

  • þetta er eitt af bestu lögum sem ísland hefur sent!!!!!!!

  • That is the only education Icelandic bankers got, sadly :-p

  • I love the song! Icelandic is such a beautiful language...

  • better than the boring winner =)

  • A great blast from the past - late 80s was eurovision at its best (no boring ballads or way too many entries ...good ol'days)

  • wow nice, nice lyrics. thanks for reminding us by posting this!

  • Æðislegt! Ekkert smá sítt að aftan! love it

  • Very nice song! Nice entry from Iceland! Eirikur Hauksson is a great artist and in the 80s joined the heavy metal groups Start, Drysill and Artch

  • hahahahahaha!

    HAAAAAAA!

    HAAA!

    Þarna hló ég upphátt!

  • What a wonderful début for a country! Loving the flowing sound of the phonology in the lyrics, and they all look so happy :) Douze points!

  • The performance would have been even better, if they hadn't forgot to reset the synthizers when Ryder had finished their song. But excellent performance for little Iceland :)

  • Þú skalt syngja lítið lag!

    Love it!

  • Hi...I don´t speak Icelandic and I can´t find the english lyrics of this song...could you tell me what the song is all about?? What do they say?? Thanks

  • Hi! I come from Sweden. I don´t speak Icelandic but understand some. The song is about "bank of fun".

  • Hi Mr. Ronnie,

Thanks for your reply. Maybe I was a bit absent-minded, but the English lyrics of this Icelandic song appear in the own presentation of this video by eurovideonary, below the label "more info"....bye!

  • @DuncanLafayette Time just flies away in the age of satellites

    faster everyday, faster every night.

Taking too much credit from your account when the day is done

are you maybe drawing too much from the Bank of Fun?

Get a grip of things, tie a box in vans.

Just forget the past, you wont loose any friends.

All the silly things you made in life belong to yesterday

Whats youve got to do is try and push the blues away.

    srry it not all

  • Thank you for the English lyrics!!...

You´re Icelandic, are these singers still popular in your country??? Thanks!

  • @DuncanLafayette Yes they are...my mom loves eirik haukson:$

  • yes they are, the woman is a talk show host, the redhaired guy lives in norway and the other dude is popular with old folks.

  • @McMuminsnadi

Thank you for your comments, McMuminsnadi!!!

    Bless bless!!.....or good bye!!

  • they are basically saying that you dont deposit into the bank of fun,

    that you only withdraw.

  • Jeiii! Gleðibankinn!

  • Yeeeeee Boyyyy

  • hell yeeee

  • Ójá!
