  • having long hair doesn't make someone a "wannabe metalhead". these guys are sick, respect them.

  • stupid wannabe metalheads cut your hair please :c but the song is good

  • This song is so beautiful <3

  • Why the song's name is Deception? Are you fucking kidding me?

  • @XxbrandeathxX Why so?

  • 0:43 - EXTREME GROOVE TIME

  • This is the second song ive heard. These djents are very talented....i just wish it was mixed better. theres hardly any oomph in the song lol

  • 44 doesn't know the beauty of true music.

  • The ibanez they used in the studio were more beautiful, this metallic blue is shit.

    Awesome Tesseract.

  • HELLO, I AM CHARLES, BUENOS AIRES - ARNGETINA, SOUTH AMERICA. LOOKING FOR YOUTUBE MUSIC VIDEOS Tesseract we will find, I love SENCERAMENTE .. MUSIC IS AWESOME. VERY GOOD STYLE, POWER, powerful music. THANK YOU, ONE DAY I HOPE SEE THEM LIVE.

  • there singer sucks...tooo soft.

  • @ashmith7 goodbye ;)

  • FUCK why did I ignore TesseracT for so long. Heavy Blog kept telling me to listen but I never gave it a shot. God, that production makes my mind jizz. Finally, a a band with the bass turned up as much as it should be.

  • @FreemanPontifex dafuck man, listen to cynic, atheist, death, spiral architect, primus...

  • @SSSavio

Most of us DO listen to Cynic, Atheist and Death. Troll someplace else.

  • @AbandonedRustedMetal yes, and tesseract sucks compared to them. they ripped the fuck off meshuggah than add this emo singer that sucks so much i wanna to tear my ears apart. they sounds like Linkin Park but with guitar parts literally ripped off from Meshuggah.

  • @SSSavio

    Boo fucking hoo.

Linkin Park is a fucking joke that only focuses on making money. So you cannot compare TesseracT to them.

  • @AbandonedRustedMetal Dont hate on LP , there's a reason they've made it so far in the music industry. They put their sould and heart in what they do, both TESSERACT and LP are great bands on different levels.

  • I love creative music :) probably you too, that's why we are here.

and guys, open your eyes, there are so many good stuff out there.

life is about being open minded.

    peace

  • this song is incredible for the djent groove and pure atmosphere. No one can hate on atmosphere

  • Guitars need to be more prevalent, all I can hear are the vox, and they suck. Spencer is better.

  • @TechDMFiend Sotello? You're a funny man.

  • Any instrumental versions of there songs, can't stand lead singer old and new could experiment with different vocalists, could even create something epic.

  • @ItchyVonScummy

    youtube watch?v=pKPW9tp5oAo

april and eden can also be found as instrumentals on YT(i think?)

    tesseract... deception... meshuggah

    WTF? lol

  • This vocalist live reminded me of brandon boyd before puberty, he worried a lot about what his hair looked like. The drummer was the best musician in the band by far

  • 2:58 WHEEEEEE

  • 0:38.50

dude is making love to his guitar to just got clue-clue juice everywhere

  • this is their best song, hands down

  • 2:53 = djentoppotomus

  • @TheColon3Face Djenti djentuse djentdjent djentin djentfront djentof djentevery djentword djentcause djent i djentdjent djent djent djent djent.

  • 2:51 Bad ass riff.

  • Love the song but this looks like a fuckin candlebox video or somethin lol. Doesnt quite do it justice

  • @itsbrake

better than that stupid winds of plague shit video they made lol

  • i'm gonna have a serious neck cramp if i don't stop listening to the breakdown @ 2:52. soooooo groovy.

  • they just look like they dont know what to do. like will ferrell in talledega nights when he didnt know what to do with his hands when he was being interviewed

  • Djent is not a gnre...no es un genero no lo encierren como genero

  • 1:02 it's pretty scary

  • I hate how there is only a offical video for part 2... It losses so much of its epicness if its not in full.

  • I think that it has 2 much production. 2 much "flying vocals". Still, a good song.

  • @opiatefist I think your comment has 2 much "2s" :)

  • TesseracT kicks ass. Not sure what all this DJent talk is. This band and a few others that also call themselves "math metal" are basically all progressive metal that has been around since the 80's and from bands like YES and Rush in the 70's. Some of you should perhaps listen to Fates Warning, Psychotic Waltz..ETC..

  • @ThePriestofMadness

OMG you're so right man :D, YES is like one the most awesome bands. This one reminds me also a bit to Pink Floyd. TesseracT is epic though :D

  • so much groove, with textures of sound that build architectual structures in my mind. I love this band.

  • im scared and happy but this is kicking ass

  • I just bought their album, One. The songs just flow well together ! The atmosphere of the whole album is strange though, but I like that. I think I just discovered one of my favorite bands! :)

  • k viva el hardcore

  • this would be a good band without this singer.

  • Ok, so i found this group from RBN (Rock Band Network), after hearing Eden, i immediately went hunting for this group. I'm a nubile drummer working his way up, i first heard this, and the eargasm, oh the eargasm, this is one of those groups that deserve the fucking world. The whole fucking world.

  • why does tesseract have only 25k views and suicide silence 2 million?

People have no idea what music is nowdays.

  • Wow, what an amazing and individual song. Never heard of this band before, I shall have to hear some more :D

  • Why does this have so much dislikes... Not like I really care, just wondering. I mean: This is like one of the best songs ever.

  • this song reminds me fates warning on steroids :D

  • aggression - tears of a clown hope u people like it from aruba

  • Just brilliant!

  • офигительное музло!!!

  • sounds like periphery but more progressive

  • peacoat metal!? wtf

  • man that shit gets heavy!

  • sounds like if tool, meshugga, and we came as romans got together and said, "lets start a band". i dig it

  • Stop Troll . just STOP .

  • Fucking GAY music

  • @HOWpneumotorax hater

  • So much hate for a good song.

Stop looking at the video and listen to the music.

We, as Metal/Djent/Hardcore, listeners ignore the aesthetics and listen to the musicians.

If you're still looking for presentation then go listen to something in the 'popular' chart.

  • @NoScrubUK Did you really use the term "Djent" to define a genre of music? Really? Ah, the ignorance that comes with the scene.

  • @metalabyss1 Its an underground genre. You sound like the type of person who didn't want to except Fusion as a sub-genre of Jazz .

No i'm not insulting you, this is the internet not a friggin' battleground.

  • @NoScrubUK I accept all sub-genres of metal and don't slam the ones I don't like as most will. The idea of the word "Djent" to describe a sub-genre of metal is redundant. "Djent" is the sound of heavy palm muting that can be found in every form and sub-genre of metal. To call label one band "Djent" you would have to label them all. And quite frankly, the term sounds like it was created by a group of ignorant scene kids who don't play instruments and it seems to have caught on.

  • @metalabyss1 I think you need to forget it really. I use the term Djent because i've been told they're a 'Djent'-type band. Not because i'm part of a secret scene organisation. I wrote a thesis on this a while ago, the idea that there is no genre, only music. I think you should possibly remove the idea of genre from your life and then perhaps you'll listen to music in a better way.

In a way this is like Jazz, you can define it however it still carries traits from other genres.

  • @metalabyss1 I see, so what you are saying here is that frederik thordendal is an ignorant scene kid. VEry very smart mister "ï'm-too-close-minded-to-accept-evolution-and-beneficial-change-in-music". This is the cicle of nature and life. Things evolve, change , because everything is ephemeral. Metal is already starting to sound stale , the only thing good about it is that it influenced fantastic bands like TesseracT. It seems like you can't understand the sacrality of art, which is rather good.

  • @kirkhammett1993 Wow. How close minded YOU are. You focused in on the "negative" parts of my statements. Did you not read that I said I accept all forms of metal and don't bash the ones I don't like? When did I say I didn't accept change in music? What I don't accept a redundant term to define music. I can't understand the "sacrality" of art? You know me that well? Just because "Djent" seems ignorant to me? And I use the term as "Lack of Knowledge" and not "stupid" as you assumed.

  • @metalabyss1 Actually, the term "Djent" was coined by Mesuggah, who used it to describe their own sound. Many bands with a similar sound have also adopted the term, such as Periphery, TesseracT, Animals as Leaders... the list goes on. But really, who cares? Just enjoy the music for what it is - fucking legendary!

  • Their vocalist is incredible live, he completely pulls off everything he does on the album.

  • @fffranccc True that!

  • they would be so much more badass without the posturing

  • oohh i just caught myself playing this song over and over again about 31864321687674 times

  • I want to talk shit but it was pretty great

  • I can sense a little Meshuggah influence in the breakdowns.

  • He kinda looks like Chester from Linkin Park

  • Love it..Love everything about it....you can definitely tell they put a lot work into this song..and it paid off!!

  • not hardcore in any way! and the fake down sucks

  • @br8kdownjunkie you should better listen to emmure...

  • Fuckin rad band!!!! Found out about this guys through itunes after buying periphery! Sick!!

  • anyone who says these guys suck obviously have never seen them live, just saw them last night here in canada, and have to say one of the best bands i've seen in a while

  • I hate it that they can't play without palm muting.

  • boring.

  • this song is weak until 2:50. that little bit right there is pretty good.

  • ...yeah, I can't bring myself to steal this album.

    *opens iTunes, buys album*

You guys will have more of my money once th is song hits Rock Band, hahaha.

  • This is band is incredible and so is this song but...I was really expecting a better video :/

Im getting tired of seeing the same "ill Light room, while we all headbang" type videos

  • @Gorgorgir sort of a good point about video but sometimes I bet people just want to put a straight forward rocking out head banging video out video for a song out there without spending millions or going to different locations.

  • damn this is soo sick and singer dont even screams ! he can actually sing very well arranged

  • WHAT THE FUCK HAPPENED TO THE END OF THIS SONG!?!?!?!?!

  • @SailorMoonSacrifice the shit got funky!

  • Tesseract: Proof that metal doesn't have to be hardcore to be absolutely amazing.

  • So happy these guys are coming to Canada with Protest the Hero. Hopefully they come back more often after that.

  • @HerosOfProtest They were here a few months ago too. I had only got into them the day before the show, and I decided not to go.. I'm really regretting it now. This band is so good!

  • reminds me of a metal sounding Dredg. Anyone?

  • straight djent niggaz

  • the hardcore movement infects the world......

  • @555metaltapp666 this is not hardcore

  • @Thr33Brothers not the lyrics the guitars.

  • @Thr33Brothers not the lyrics the guitars/ drums

  • @555metaltapp666 dude, how is this in any way hardcore?

  • @DarthSivius i can step to it its hardcore.

  • @555metaltapp666 you can what?

this is not hardcore, in any way

I can headbang to it, it's metal

I can jump to this, this is jumpstyle

I can do a tango on this

    etc...

    your arguement is therefore invalid

  • @DarthSivius There are definite hardcore influences in there. Why is hardcore music such a bad thing? It makes the band much more unique since they can incorporate metal music and hardcore music to perfection, unlike many other bands out there.

  • @spoondizzler sorry, but I really can't hear any hardcore influence whatsoever

  • @DarthSivius because there is none.

  • @FinnMetal4Life yes I know, tell Mr. spoondizzler and 555metaltapp666

  • crap!

  • 0.01 - 3.35 = pure eargasm

  • @Virus940 right, im sorry im wrong, a song that is 99% low E isnt boring its amazing, excuse me, i wasnt saying the band was bad asshole this particular song is boring now shut the fuck up

  • 1:01 xD

  • PROGRESS

  • djent

  • I love his voice, and love the drummer

  • OMG!!!!!!!!! AMAZING

    drummer is SICK

  • This is just melodic death metal. It's awesome. :3

  • @anastu Progressive metal.

  • great band name, kinda boring song, good breakdown type thing, but good god that is the trebeliest 7string i have ever heard (and that makes it suck)

  • @Dethsquirrel Boring song? Are you fucking retarded? If you think this song is boring then you have a shitty taste in music, period.

  • @Virus940 really?.......really? simply from the complexity of some of the rhythms i can tell the band CAN kick ass (and the end of the song is amazing) but for the first 2/3rds of the song each fucking word takes 1-2 measures and the first half of the song is straight 16th notes, YES THIS SONG IS PRETTY BORING

  • @Dethsquirrel It's the emotion and atmosphere of the song. It set the stage perfectly, I think. I think I like for 2/3rds of the songs most because of the fact that it's just not balls to the wall. I love music that can manipulate emotions the way this one does.

  • @MillsMcDougle manipulating emotions is one thing, riding a low E for 2 minutes is another

  • @MillsMcDougle Exactly.

  • Great band name!

  • freaking awesome!

  • Awesome!!!!

  • Comment removed

  • if Rush and Deftones (maybe), have a son he will be called "TESSERACT" ^^

  • tesseract? what a fuckin name is ? this bandsm of today?

  • @juanurrego1984 Yeah init! I prefer names like Bleeding from Within...August Burns in Winter....Tuesday's Coming, Did you Bring You're Coat?....Anal Prolapse etc!

  • @juanurrego1984 A tesseract is a 4-dimensional hypercube. Please look up things before you say something stupid again.

  • @xAquinasx yeah is a 4 dimensional hypercube and? still sound stupid!

  • OMG Great Song !

  • whats this 4 a genre?

    POP metal!

look at the singer, he looks like he came from a boygroup man!

    thumb DOWN!

  • @Avan0s You know what's really pop, judging a band by it's look.

  • 2 Seven-String guitars to fill a tiny chugga chugga background noise? Come on...be creative because the rest sounds really good.

  • good sound i would say they need a little more heavier sounding guitars the chugging parts sounded weak and alot of it was cords which is fine i like it but i think if they make it a little more of a heavy sound mixed in it would be better

  • It looks like their singer just left a boy band.

  • @666slink thats why they keeped the vid so dark ^^

  • @FeaRleSsNightMaRe heheheh......good point.

  • Instrumental - 5 stars!!! Vocalist - no balls!

  • Something new and fresh.Reminds me a little of Mercenary .

  • By how the music started i was expecting some serious growling, at least at Bodom level. What i got is the wheezing of a weakling.

Needs an new vocal and less nu-metal shit.

  • @AzraelI666 Not everything needs death metal-esque vocals.

  • @Jarrak But don't you think that this song would have sounded way better with them?

  • @AzraelI666

Nah, because this is what they play.

  • awww, the music isnt that bad, but the vocals are a no go

  • Hmm... not sure about this...

  • *Metal :D

  • 17 people don't know that Matel is a lifeart :D

  • @oppenair matel? rofl

  • I've had this video fav'd since TesseracT put it on youtube themselves.

  • i"d like them more with different vocals. they remind me a lot of fellsilent. I like fellsilents vocals better

  • @WonderlandNightmare You should def get the new ep, he screams too. And the guitarist is the same guy from fellsilent. He put this band together.

  • Reminds me a bit of The Devil Sold His Sold, for the clean vocals mostly.

  • wow only 1000 views

  • this song gives me shivers

    it's just so amazing

still so annoyed that Fell Silent broke up

Saw them live and the BLEW MY MIND!

  • The singing is pretty good, and it's awesome to hear purely clean vocals in metal that isn't power metal or a derivative. The drumming is adequate but not standout. Everything with strings, however... maybe it's the mixing, or the Youtube quality, but the number of people in this band does not match the amount of instruments I could hear or distinguish. I'm sure the singer could learn palm mutes in about a half-hour from the bassist and they could get rid of two people right there.

    It's okay.

  • 2:50 till 3:20 sounded like meshuggah

  • @DaWeedHH That's because it is Djent.

  • On a related note, it wouldn't be surprising if all the Suicide Silence-loving arsenuggets were the ones to vote this down.

  • @Jarrak

I fucking love Suicide Silence and listened to this song three times in a row. Going to get the CD when I get home.

  • @Jarrak

I think you're right on that.

'What? No neck tats? Where are the squeals? Mom, I can't find my tampons!'

  • Century Media signing a GOOD band!? This is madness!
