i would prefer to hear the engine. the fact that you can still hear the engine over the music makes it not as bad as those that completely cover it up but it would be a little bit nicer if you could just turn the music down and the engine up. nice vid though and nice car!

it would be cheaper and easier to just get the different mounts and drop in a 2jz gte and go to a big single with 1000cc, dual walboros, metal hg, and a standalone with the other various supporting mods id easily be making 600+

netshop01 If you do not want to build a kit buy one already built from Superformance and you can not get a better built car all you need is to have your local mechanic put in the motor and transmission, and you are off. Superformance are the only continuation cobra recognized by Carol Shelby, and he uses them himself as a rolling chassi.

@netshop01 The "weird looking red stripes" is a throw back to "team stripes" from Le mans. It was a way the pit crews you determine which car (of the same color) was theres when it came into the pits.

They are also known as rookie stripes because if you had a car coming up in your rear view mirror you knew it was a "rookie" and to be on the look out.

But, you needed to have the Cobra doing some performing...like shifting thru the gears hard, smokin the tires from a standstill, going around the mountain slopes showing off its handling, closeup sound of the exhaust, closeup of the motor, etc... I think you could have made it more James Bond-ish. But still, it was reasonable.

The Cobras that Carol Shelby sells today are not kit cars, either are the Superformance MKIII which are licensed by Carol Shelby.

Anything else is a kit and no matter how well put together are illegal to use the Cobra or Carol Shelby name.

The cars Shelby creates down at the factory in Las Vegas are created using many of the same parts many "kit" owners use to construct their cars. I have seen many "kits" that are far superior in their construction that the Shelby or Superformance cars...although I know both would argue until they are blue in the face.

All Superformance MKIII Cobras are made from all new parts specifically engineered for that car, The quality is outstanding. I guess you haven't seen a real Superformance Cobra. There are none better.

There are a lot of Cobra replicas out their made from all new parts. Mine included. And I have seen the Superformance Cobra up close. It's a very nice car, no doubt about it. The only thing I would say is that I prefer the frame and engineering of the Factory Five Roadster. I posted a link in my description at the top right that explains the differences between the frames. I guess in the end though it's a matter of preference.
