the actual hotwireings easy enough. you can always tell the ignition wires beacuse they have to be extra thick to engage the solenoid. getting a steering column lock off however, thats a real skill.

@uploaded113redone you need three wires to hot wire a car, and the wire colors are not universal for every car. every make and models have different color wires. and you need the ignition wire after you crank the car with the other 2 wires. and you still have to break the steering wheel lock.

tho proper way in hot wiring a car is look for both red wires and strip them then connect them to each other. If there is only one red wire, then look for a pair of colored wires and connect them to each other.

i think the best way to steal a car unless it has immobilisers is to pick the igition or break it then the stearing wheal wont lock up. if it is have immobilisers best thing is to try find an override switch. or open the bonet and cut the siren then find the control module under the dash and bypass the immobilisers. thats the best advise i can give

Well while we're all here, we might as well actually try and explain how to do it RIGHT. I havne't tried, but is it usually:

1) Strip and twist the two reds together

2) Strip the brown

3) Touch the brown on the two joined reds to ignite

4) Cover or insulate the brown so you don't shock yourself afterwards

?????

Obviously the colours change and I hear sometimes there's two brown (or whatever) wires as well as two reds.

Does anyone know if this is along the right lines?
