I can't get rnough of this game. I just downloaded it for MAME and all I gotta say is................. DAMN!! Definitely gives Street Fighter a run for it's money. This game is awesome.

IGS are a reputable company taking the best of Capcom and SNK (More SNK) and making some good games of their own. In particular the Knights of Valor series, Dynasty Warriors isn't the ROTK game to follow it's KoV! This game is bloody hard and there's an Expert mode which is even harder! Yeah some crazy moves in here I like Saojin's super where the guys come out stomping the opponent and she takes a picture! Scorpion is funny but wasn't easy to play at all

@alexalot23 its an arcade game it wasnt made by the usuan guys its from taiwan, its awesome all diferent styles of kung fu against each other...i just cant figure out how to make the combos connect the timing is HARD!

It's great to see a game not made by the usual people (Jap and US or EU). Knights of Valor plus was the first IGS I stumbled across and it was music to my ears to hear characters talk in CHINESE rather than chinese cast talking in jap! KoV kicked off my interest for 3 kingdoms as it goes!

I have this game on mameplus. each fighter has a different martial arts fighting style. Crane,tiger,monkey,drunken boxing etc... Wong fei hung who jet li plays in once upon a time in china is in this game. so is club foot from those films. the guy who does scorpion style comes from a lau kar Leung movie called Operation Scorpio. Pretty nice game.

the sprites look to me imo darkstalkers+ guilty gear xx but all in all This Taiwanese company is not that bad.. I played it in Excalibur las vegas casino and this game was a good alternative for SF III, Darkstalkers, and Guilty Gear XX...

Too button-mashy...no real focus on the individual moves.

But love the 2D and art style.

While most of the special moves in MM hit anywhere between 2-13 times. MM is far from from being a button-masher.

The focus on the moves was to be able to cancel them with a Shadow Attack, as this is how IGS designed the play mechanics and combo system for MM.

Download a nebula emulator.Though the version i tried didn't have some of the sounds.I think it's not fully emulated.

For Drunken master: what do you mean by "whiff"? (sorry, I'm not english!) can you connect the grab or not? (If I undestand what you said, you can't right?)

With Monk my friend said the QCB connect after the →+C but the last F+ A/C doesn't connect because opponent is too far...

On the other hand, he said that he can grab after a C(orD), →+C (1hit) with the HCB, F + A/C like in your combo video. He has a V104 102 102 china version but like I said, the nationality doesn't matter...

Very strange...How can you link the throw with Drunken master (Half Circle Back, forward + A/C) after a C, C, → + A)??

The same thing with Shaolin monk D(2hits), →+C (1hit) then throw (Half Circle Back, forward + A/C)????

I have two version of this game (Japan V100 100 100 & Hong kong V102 101 101) and it does not seem possible to combo this type of throw....

You're right! As about 4 of the combos just will not work on my English, pgm version of Martial Masters.

I'm looking at Crane's combo at 1:08, Scorpion's at 1:42, and Reika's at 2:40, and you'll notice how the screen sorta, blurs for a half of second, almost like those combos were edited? Unless there's some SS2/KOF-95 cancel glitch in MM we don't know about?

Actually, the nationality of the cartidge doesn't matter, it is only the revision who determine the gamplay. A friend of mine have a V104 102 102 version (the latest I think) and he told me yesterday that he can grab the opponent in a combo with monk and drunk master, like in the video so, maybe this one was made with a V104 102 102 version... (but maybe a 104 102 102 emulated version...)

I have the V104 102 102 version, and when I do Druken Master's C, C, F+A, HCB-F + P, he'll whiff it....

Like when I do Monk's, C (2 hits), F+C, QCB + P, A, F+P, F-QCF + K. It just will not connect after the F+C. Which I find very irritating.

So if you or your friend knows something about the mechanics I don't? Please PM what you know?
