every tales game looks kinda lame at the beginning. of course a 2D game on PS2 can let you down at the beginning, but this games gameplay is just excellent. it's the most pumped up and heart-racing tales game ever, and even better at a higher difficulty.
every character is usable and has a lot of potencial, and they are 9 of them.
see videos later in the story, unknown battles and such. it gets much better =D
Right now it's only available in Japan. An American localization is possible, but no one really knows yet. And even if it is eventually translated, it won't be for a long time, since they're currently working on 2 other Tales games and may not have the resources for a third project.
That rumor just sounds way to good to be true. I don't think they would be able to do that many at once. If they did decide to translate one or two more games this year, that would make me happy (wishes for Destiny: DC and Hearts). Where exactly did you hear that rumor?
That's like, one game (discounting Phantasia and some spinoffs). Tales of Destiny II, which Phantasian Productions is releasing an English patch for in the future, is the only one on that list. So no worries... right?
It took Radiant Mythology a whole half a year to be ported to America. Tales of Destiny - Director's Cut is still relatively new, released January 31st, 2008. We're still able to hope for that one.
In short, we're on a decent run here. I wish they'd hurry the hell up, though.
with advertising, Tales would sell better in the US than Japan.
With barely any advertising, there have been Tales games that do very well, while every Tales game gets lots of advertising in Japan and yet they don't always do very well . The sales of Symphonia in America were only because of a few magazine articles, reviews and previews, no commercials, that is AMAZING
Imagine if they had a lot of advertising or the normal amount for every Tales game in the US...
That guard or whoever that was stole Dhaos' line "SONNA BAKANA!"

what they should do is that just translate the words instead of the voices like they did with the PS version

I doubt this game would run well on the PSP. It would either take a huge graphics hit or it would get lots of slowdown

This PS2 version looks really really lame. Eff it. If i were playing this and someone walked in the room I'd be really embarrassed.

Well obviously, that's nothing but just a wishful thinking. Bandai Namco has to be insane to even think such thing.

God I hope so.
I want to play the Destiny remake and Destiny 2.
As well as try out Rebirth.

Bad news...
"Any game that came out before TOS for GC and hasnt been translated, has NO hope of being translated by Namco" *sigh*

Sorry, but Bandai Namco has no reason to release those games on some continent that does not sell many.

I'd say that battle was set with both sides at even strength.
Seems like a story is being told with a narrative viewpoint.
